Her insecurities finally take over, and at that point she must either acknowledge her own weakness (i.e. her inability to handle a situation where there's even a slight possibility of betrayal), or project her faults onto him. Of course, she will do the latter, and devalue him, hating him with the same passion with which she once loved him, and treating him accordingly.

Non-BPD chicks don't go to such extremes, but they still have some undercurrents of paranoia in their psyche that drive them to engage in some of the same behaviors and thought patterns as BPD chicks, just to a lesser extent.

Women also contribute to men's idealization of them by mirroring of men they fall in love with. They'll figure out what the man's ideal is, and then try to become that, at least long enough to snag him. So for example, if he says he's into camping in the woods, suddenly she's into camping in the woods too. Given the influence of feminism on our culture, men sometimes forget that women (especially young women) tend to be natural followers, rather than independently having stable identities, preferences, opinions, etc. (other than the preference for a strong man who will lead them.)

HELL YEAH. I had an experience with the ex I reference in the no contact thread that was like this.
