RE: I Love Montreal: Data Sheet
I just came back from 6 nights of Montreal so I'll throw in my experiences. Just a word of caution, the best time to go is during the summer so my trip may not be reflective of the city during its best time so just keep that in mind.
FYI, I'm an Asian guy in my early 30s, 5'9", good physique, dress well, pretty good social skills, fearless opening skills and have a good job.
I'd also like to thank Mr.Roundtree and CaptainChardonnay. Although I technically went alone, I spent a decent amount of time with Roundtree and was able to party with Charonnay one night. Both guys are awesome guys and both have legit game in their own unique ways. My trip would not have been as awesome without meeting the two of them.
I'll also be typing a field report of sorts in another thread as I did get a handful of instadates during day/evening game and got 2 lays (one of which I shouldn't have done) and would have had more lays if I had a few more breaks instead of experiencing some bad luck but eh, can't win them all.

Girls:
There are a wide range of girls to choose from in Montreal. You will see anything from "upscale" white chicks, to white chicks that have tats and have an urban/hipster/feminist vibe to them. In fact, there are a lot of these girls but a lot of them are quite attractive. If you're a huge fan of gorgeous middle eastern girls, this is the place for you. There just so many of them ranging from Labanese to Persian. There's so many women to open on St. Catherine street (more on this later) that it can be a bit overwhelming.
Apparently there's a difference between the white girls and Roundtree can explain this better. There's the anglophone white girls which he isn't a fan of and the francophone white girls which he says are more chill and laid back. Although I had a small sample size, I can definitely see this being the case. I think most of my harsher rejections were from anglophone chicks but again, small sample size.
There's also huge student populations as there are I think 4 universities within the city. Concordia/McGill are mainly the anglophone ones whereas UQAM is the French speaking one.
I know there was a lot of hoopla in previous discussions saying Montreal has hot women but it's tough for guys. Other guys said it's a pussy paradise. From my small sample size, I'd said Montreal is no more difficult than any other city especially not my home city. The impression I got was on the whole, chicks in this city are a bit more receptive and open to talk to you and even humor you if they're not interested. That's not to say I didn't get shut down during day gaming or approaches but I feel that they were more open on the whole. But of course, you can't be a social retard and you have to open and present a package that is attractive to women. I actually found it very easy to open women during the day and had an instadate with an 8/10 french chick, 2 instadates with out of town chicks and 2 numbers that were strong leads but they disappeared for some reason after showing interest and attempting to make plans.
That said, I think if chicks are interested in you, they're going to be VERY bold. On my first night out and Kampai garden, a cute chick walked by Roundtree and basically made a B-line towards him opening HIM. This could just be an anomaly but I think it's pretty normal for the city.

Guys/competition:
For the most part, weak sauce. Most guys looked weak AF during the day and at night in the clubs, there was stiffer competition physically but it was a really weird dynamic. There were a lot of black and arab dudes who looked really tough in the clubs but they didn't really approach at all! What you would see is they would stand off to the side or line up near the aisles and wait for girls to walk by and almost "cat call" or meekly stick their hands out hoping a girl would grab it. I actually saw a few instances where some aggro guys were basically assaulting a chick down the street in Old Port basically grabbing unto girl until she had to fight him off. It was kind of messed and most guys from what I've noticed have weak to no game. As for White and Asian dudes, might have been because of the places we went to but I didn't even notice the white guys and there were barely Asian guys.
During the day, basically no one approached. Again, there were "tough" looking guys who would just creepily stare at women walking by but none of them approached. It was quite the sight to see because in my city, there's tons of PUAs spam approaching chicks. 2 French girls I approached even said it was awesome that I approached because guys don't do that in this city.
Another great thing is even though guys looked "tough", most guys were chill and not a lot of guys looked to start trouble. Almost all guys would be respectful of space and give space when walking by.

Transportation:
The city has a really good metro station. I recommend buying 3 day or week long passes. You can also take uber but that adds up. I think the metro stations close at 1 or 2 so you're forced to take uber at night but having that option is good peace of mind.
Montreal is quite large and spread out and going between different districts/areas is kind of a pain in the ass though. if you want to get to the Metro, it's about a 10 min walk. Then the ride is about 5-10 min and it's another 10 min walk to get to the other area. Just keep in mind that you'll be walking a lot.

Food:
There's a lot of great restaurants in the city and you can't really go wrong picking any of them. I ate at Le Garde Manger which is a upscale, hipster chique seafood place that has great cocktails located in Old Port and I highly recommend that place if you're into that type of atmosphere. On my last night, I went to Bouvette Chez Simone which has a similar vibe as Garde Manger but is cheaper, less upscale, and has tapas and more comfort food type meals along with a great wine/drink selection. Both places are awesome. I also went to some burger spot on st. Laurent and had mussels with some girls I met at the club from before on Crescent street and they were both great but I can't remember the spots. But really, just look up any restaurant that has good reviews and you can't go wrong.
What I do recommend you check out is Schwartz's on St. Laurent. It's a famous Jewish Deli with delicious smoked meats and sandwiches made fresh. If you go alone like I did, you can get a seat right away. Going with a friend might be a 20 min wait in line. I ate there multiple times and would love to go back.
I know someone recommended Boustan and it was great as a drunken meal at 4 or 5 am but it was over-rated. It wasn't bad, but I've had better donair.

Day game:
Wow this is heaven for the day gamer. Not because the chicks are easy but because of how big the city is and how many women there are. As I mentioned previously, I didn't notice anyone opening but I wouldn't have anyways because there were so many people. I would recommend Saint Catherine St which is the main street downtown with all the shops. There were so many women and the street is quite long so it was really overwhelming to be honest. I dedicated 3 hrs one day to just spam approaching on this street on my 2nd day and my brain was fried.
Other places I recommend is to game at Old Port where there's less traffic and allows for a more relaxed vibe. It's a beautiful area of montreal that's upscale and has european influence. You can also head over to the university areas such as McGill if you look like a student or Concordia (which isn't a campus of it's own, but a bunch of different buildings within the city).
I opened quite a bit mixing direct to indirect and I can't say which worked better as they both yielded positive results. Again, I'd say them women here on the whole were more receptive but it wasn't easy.

Night game:
One of the biggest mistakes Roundtree and I made was we went to too many club environments too many times. It's great to go once or twice especially when we met up with Chardonnay and his group but Roundtree and I kept hitting up the same type of spots. That said, maybe you like this environment and I certainly had fun but I thrive better in a more chill spot, with more chill girls and more space to work. What you will notice in the club type atmosphere is the guy to girl ration is seriously 4:1 and it's packed. It's pretty terrible.
Thursday night Roundtree and I went to Kampai Garden. This is a nice and large restaurant/bar that turns into a club at night and is located at the south portion of downtown near Concordia unversity. When we were in the line up, Roundtree and I were laughing at the ratio of guys to girls in line: 9:1. When we got inside, there was some decent talent and most were pretty nice but it was just too packed and had too many guys for my tastes.
Roundtree had to work so he bounced earlier so I got a ride with some girls I met and they dropped me off at an Irish bar named McKibbon's on Crescent. It was dead that night. I then went to Mme Lee's a club where Roundtree and I were actually in line for earlier and scoped it out. It was packed again and a huge club environment. I was pretty exhausted at this point so I approached the 2 hottest chicks at the club, didn't get anywhere and left because I wasn't in the mood to be a human sardine.

Friday:
This was one of the best nights I've had because of the crew I was with (although I lost a lay due to bad luck. more on this in my report later). Chardonnay had 7 dudes over and invited Roundtree and I over to his place. We pre-drank, then went to Old Port to go to Flyjin but did not get in because someone in our group told the bouncer that our group consisted of NINE dudes LOL. They wanted us to get a $1000 table/bottle service which Chardonnay, Roundtree and I were fine with but most guys were not.
We then went to a bar that was just a short walk away still in Old Port called Le Confessional. We had tons of fun because of our group and because we got bottle service there and just danced the night away but again, if I was trying to pick up (which I did end up banging one of the girls from there but I shouldn't have) it wasn't optimal because of the amount of dudes there and the lack of girls. This bar wasn't as crowded as Kampai but it was also a lot smaller.

Saturday:
A buddy I knew from before and I went to Philemon in Old Port but bounced when we got in and noticed that the guy to girl ratio was 6:1.
We then walked to to Bordelle and they said no one is getting in unless they are getting tables. I then chatted up a cool group of French chicks in line and I joined their group while my buddy bounced and we headed to Mme Lee's again with Roundtree joining me and this new group.
Again, I would not recommend doing a club like this more than once on a trip. The music was hip hop and fine and all but there were too many people and too many dudes. I would describe it as what Roundtree would call a "hood rat" crowd. I would not recommend going there.

Sunday:
I had dinner solo and then met up with a Tinder date on my last night. This time I decided to go to the street that EVERYONE had been recommending me to go to for bars/clubs: St. Laurent. given it was a Sunday, crowds may be skewed but I the first stop I took my date was Apt 200 which I highly recommend based on what I saw. The vibe seemed way more chill, the girls seems more chill and there was more space.
We then went to Tokyo Bar down the road which has the same vibe as a regular club so I wasn't a fan of it. And in case your'e wondering, I did smash the tinder date - all night.
---------
Re-cap on clubbing:
- Ratios seem wack in the typical clubs/bars.
- Old Port clubs are where you would see the typical "dolled up" chicks who go clubbing
- Clubs are so packed that you can't really move.
- Going traditional clubbing in Mtl, just like anywhere else is best done in a group just to have fun.
----------------
Things I would have done differently
- Got up earlier and explored different parts of the city more. I saw a few things but not as much as I wanted.
- Partied on St. Laurent street more. Apparently this vibe is way more chill than the clubs downtown or in Old Port. Really made a big mistake here.
- Related to above, spend less time in actual clubs and more in more chill lounge/bar places.
That's about it for me. Let me know if you guys have any questions. Keep an eye out for my FR. I'll likely post in the Players' Lounge.
