They were all probably some of the most valuable lessons in "the natural order of things". And it motivated me to rise to the top of said order (getting bigger, lifting, learning how to fight, etc.)

Even if she hit an officer before the video was recorded, just overpower her and cuff her, which would be incredibly easy for any cop with the strength of an average teenage boy. It's beyond me how anyone could see justification for a dangerous bodyslam in such a non-threatening situation.

He DID overpower her and cuff her as you suggest. And he did so in exactly the manner he was taught. Officers aren't trained to start playing grabass when someone resists. They are supposed to get the person on the ground facedown ASAP. This reduces the chance of the suspect being seriously injured by having her under control on the floor rather than have her flailing about running around knocking over tables and other people.

Again with the armchair quarterbacking of what untrained non-police think should happen in a situation they've never been in. The safest place for her once she started resisting arrest was face down on the floor. Situation neutralized.

I want to take a moment to thank Brewdog for posting this thread. It's been a jolly good laugh during what's shaping up to be a shit week.

This sort of thing perpetually amazes me in that it shows how primitive and subconscious so many of our reactions are. How we can get so worked up over something when it triggers our jungle-juice factories, yet other similar events with minor detail changes skate by us as trivial irrelevances.

Let's edit this 10 second clip (my, what a deep understanding of the situation we're witnessing) and replace the woman with a similarly proportioned young man in drag and we'll suddenly see how few fucks are given.

I recall not so long ago a police officer shot an aged black care worker in the leg with an assault rifle from fifty yards when said care worker was literally lying on the ground, prostrate, begging the cops to de-escalate the situation.

I don't blame the cop. I think he was following protocol.

However, I think the protocol sucks. Why can't the officer be allowed to put females in headlocks? No need to face slam women into the ground. That's a tactic for men, because men are top heavy. Women are bottom heavy and headlocks incapacitate them easily.

Might be political correctness here. They cannot have different protocols for men vs. women because "muh discrimination."

While I agree with you, think about how much worse it looks on the news for a man to have a woman in a headlock or a chokehold. That's why police no longer use chokeholds, in my experience, not because it's dangerous to make someone passout, but because a police officer choking someone looks even worse on the news than just putting the guy on the ground in an armlock.

And police actually learn other legally justified techniques that would also look worse, and they refrain from using them because of their awareness that someone may be recording. If the officer in this video had kicked her knee out from under her and she went tumbling from a leg sweep, that would have looked horrible on video also.

And it's good to remember that videos often miss a lot of what happened before the arrest. By the time someone gets out their phone and swipes in their passcode and begins shooting video, a lot may have already occurred. The news article states she had already struck the officer. If that's the case, then she's lucky she didn't get a right hook to the jaw. There were civilian witnesses there, so the truth will come out in court.

But the girl instigated the trouble. The police showed up because her boyfriend was reported as being in a fight. She apparently saw fit to interject herself into the matter, perhaps because she figured the police wouldn't dare touch a sorority girl. But that's conjecture on my end.

Here's what I think about all of these types of videos - of course the cop went too far but it's the best thing to happen to this girl in her entire college career. She'll be coddled by her sorority sisters, get a ton of attention on campus and bank out with a nice settlement...the college might even let her skip finals next month. If she has a boyfriend she could even parlay this into a "ring by spring" situation and graduate a sorority legend.

Getting roughed up by the cops is like winning the lottery these days.

Basic Behaviorism has been hijacked by the cultural warriors. A sane society would reward good behavior and punish bad behavior. We, on the other hand, have split up into identity groups, and some identity groups get rewarded for whatever they do, and others get punished no matter what.

Bosch said it a while ago, and I reluctantly agree. I just don't care about strangers so much anymore, and especially women I don't know.

Watching this video, I am hard wired to see it as wrong, as a man who instinctively wants to protect women, and as a basic moral person who doesn't like it when a large person throws around a small person. It doesn't seem fair.

Unfortunately, I am training myself not to care.

As men, our basic decency and noble instincts are being used against us, essentially turned into weaknesses.

All the identity groups that hate us count on us sticking to our values, women and feminists most of all. They are certain that no matter how much shit we get, if we get thrown into jail, or beat down in the street, we will endure it with dignity and patience, and we will take it on the chin when some crazy bitch on the street or in a supermarket abuses us verbally or even physically, and then, afterwards, we will patiently listen as some pansy tells us we should have handled it differently.

It pains me to feel this way, and I don't like it at all. I want to protect and respect women, and I want them to be grateful for it, and they are not. I once watched a video interview with a woman who was abusing her husband, and she said something like, "It just seemed like you could keep hitting and hitting and no one would ever hit back."

Doesn't that sum it up?

Women are out of control, and their white knights, and it is everywhere. They know they will be protected, and believed even when they lie, and they don't have the character to pull themselves together and do what is right.

So I watch videos like this and make myself not care. At this point, I am automatically trusting the man's judgement in a situation like this. I am believing him the same way that women say, "Believe the victim." I am assuming he had a good reason for what he did, and not second guessing him.

Sucks, but there it is.

I remember the exact moment this change in mentality happened. I was watching the Trump supporters during the run up to the election get chased down and beat like animals, and the cops standing by and doing nothing. (Different situation, they were under orders by their SJW chief of police to stand down.)

And I just thought, the rot is so deep, that the law only applies to people who have been culturally vetted, approved by the cultural gate keepers, that guess what. I am voting for Trump. I am not automatically following age old habits of giving strangers the benefit of the doubt, and protecting or helping women.

Let them learn from their mistakes. No free pass. No grace period. Nothing. I am a blank wall. You got yourself into it, get yourself out, and good luck.
