This is a very sad story, and my heart goes out to her and to her loved ones. Frankly, I can't imagine the terror she must have felt in her final moments---no one should have to die like this.

That said, these women need to come to grips with a basic reality when they visit places like this: not every country on this planet is civilized. Not every country on this planet is a giant, open air daycare for women chock full of tax-payer funded professionals and white knights geared up to shield you from the consequences of your stupidity.
