I have a different take on all this:

After what happened in Nice, France and Berlin, Germany last year and now this - with enough of these kind of incidents, governments will use it as an excuse to make driverless cars mandatory for everyone, taking away everyones right to drive their own car.

Then we will all be forced to travel in the kind of driverless cars wikileaks revealed the intelligence services want to hack for assassination attempts.

This is what happens when you have an open door policy to people who abhor everything that your country stands for: it's society, its Christian heritage, its democracy, its way of life, its people. In England, Asian meant Indian or Pakistani ; at least when I was growing up it did.

Anyone from further East was called Oriental, although I am told the term Oriental is offensive now.

"Asian" is generally understood to mean South Asian. I.e. Indian, Pakistani etc. Every Brit understands who is being referred to.

Asian in Britain is used to refer to south asians (Pakistan, Indian etc) has most of the Asians we have in this country is from that area. Asian in the American sense is called 'Other Asian" or if Chinese, Chinese.


So if a British person says Asian, think more Indian than Chinese.

There were reports about bombs and other attacks on public transport. People were smashing stopped tube wagons as they shut down the subway system. Guess they trigged an overall stop of public transport.
