Yes. Most girls don't have a lot of money here so a taxi is somewhat of a luxury for them and they usually end up costing $2-$5 USD, while making logistics a lot easier. Re-assuring them of this will sometimes sway girls who are on the fence to come out.

Can you guys please stop giving your phones and wallets when robbed by an inferior kid without a weapon? Nowadays even 5 3' skinny kids think they are the shit because many of the dumb guys just hand out everything on a silver plate without any resistance. If you're not severely drunk, taller, stronger, faster just resist and throw them against the curb. Only hand over your valuables if you are threatened by a big group or with weapons.

95% of Colombians have no clue how to fight so if you're gonna do it, just smash him in the face and throw him on the ground and start stomping him, should work. Then again, you never know if he has friends with weapons nearby so you should be careful when fighting. Still, beating the living shit out of a 140 pound skinny fat shit head with a bad hair cut is a lot of fun.

Throwing the face against the curb or an elbow usually works to convince these guys. It's just a kind of annoying to deal with them every other day. I mean if they try to get my valuables they should at least be a little bit professional. Gypsy pickpockets in Europe will steal your stuff discreetly, some people are taller, stronger and some people will put out a gun/knife. But come on, if such a weak skinny guy tries to rob something what's that? Do they want to make me laugh at them or what?

Where are you hanging out in Medellin that you're constantly being hassled by thieves? Its never happened to me there, maybe they are getting more brazen because there's so many more foreigners there now and many of them are low T nerdy digital nomad types.

Most of the time it happened in the northern parts of Poblado and estadio area in Laureles. In contrast no problems in Robledo and Belen.

Well, the next time some small skinny dude walks up with a butter knife and demands my wallet, I promise you I'll fuck his shit up. He'll have an American size 14 stuck very far up his ass.

It's too bad that small skinny dudes don't usually rob large, muscular Gringo men in a fair and honest fashion.

In 2013 I bought a piece of shit Alacatel with 9 numerals in Medellin and did just fine. I wonder how all those billions of people ever got laid before the i-Phone? It must have been some sort of sorcery.

I've been staying near Estadio on la 70 con 46B for the past five years and never had any problems but that is the area where that Japanese guy was shot and killed recently so no doubt there is riff raff out there, I try not to be around during a Nacional game.

Well that's certainly a silver lining if it gets rid of the digital nomads.

Also would help in bringing down the rising gringo airbnb prices.

I say bring on the 5'3" weaponless 12 year olds!

so how did you dial the 0 (zero) ?

I also got an Alcatel 10.52D with 16 euros ...and it`s dual sim ...but it's hard for me to imagine a world without Whatsapp .

A good subject to debate would be apps commonly used in Colombia . (for example in Ukraine everybody uses Viber but Whatsapp is not so common)

There's no such thing as zero in Brewdog's world.

At least in Bogota there was always people selling them in the nicer areas, just guys walking around with backpacks in the streets. I'm no expert but they were all knock off versions of 15k+ watches and I think they wanted around $60-80USD each.

I was at an Israeli hostel and a lot of guys seemed to have them.

I asked the border guide for a pen to fill up the customs declaration . My motives for visting Colombia ? Tourism ...yeah that kind of tourism.

First impression : The road from the airport is awesome .Pretty clean . 10 euros for a burger and a beer ? it's like i'm still in Europe .

Of course i got the gringo tax but it's not so bad for my first few hours in Colombia.

at least i avoided the cash exchange at the airport where 1EUR = 2400COP official is 3150 Smile . I used credit card withdrawal .

I ate at Barbacoa Burger in Manila

what is "Propina"? is that the tip ? it says something about a voluntarily 10% something.
