Just go to any college or university in your city and you'll see massive numbers of highly educated people who believe all kinds of stupid nonsense: body-positivity, political correctness, multiculturalism, etc. etc. etc... As for OP's question, I'm not sure about Satan, but my ideas of what's possible and what isn't underwent a radical alteration on November 8th last year. We now live in a world where Donald Trump is president. Is that any weirder than an evil, nigh-omnipotent being?

In the beginning Mankind had charge over creation. But because of the fall they were deposed from their office and an administration of Angels were put in their place.

Deception, Lex Talonis and cursing are all legitimate form of judicial actions that can be undertaken by those Angels because mankind is fallen and therefore by the very nature of their corrupt nature this could continue on and on.


Also God cannot simply overthrow those powers including Satan without legitimate cause lest he get accused justly of being arbitrary and given his character that demands that he be just,he must find a way to redeem a remnant of mankind whilst being just as well as overthrow the spiritual powers that have turned corrupt.

However God via his people Israel and the birth of the Messiah outmaneuvered those heavenly powers and they committed a crucial mistake. Killing Jesus not only ensued that God's justice is satisfied since the sins of all those who believe in him are punished in Jesus but that killing an innocent man stripped them of all legitimacy.

Also those who are Christian cannot be cursed by Satan because by merit of their faith and Christs Blood the believer is innocent.

Hence sooner or later they will be thrown out of their position of Authority including Satan.

Satan is still currently God of this world. Meanwhile God is holding off overthrowing him until sufficient numbers of people are saved. Because when God overthrows Satan its going to be wrath on humans as well that are not saved.

God is only involved in this world because Christians pray to him otherwise its Satan's Turf. Prayer gives God "permission'' to act in certain ways that are not related to judgment.

It's very easy to deny Satan exists and that education and logic is all you need in life, when you chose to never fight against one of the devil's most powerful enslaving addictions. Conquering any powerful addiction is often a battle against inner demons and powerful evil...but the challenge I proposed is one that almost all men worldwide can relate to.

Any man who makes it to 90 days without sex and without masturbating a single time, very quickly learns that some sort of spirtual faith is a way more powerful tool in that battle, than basic education or rational logic.

I think you'll find that their survival rate is exactly the same.

God is not a spiritual vending machine where one can simply pray and do a formula and he does it.

Its specifically those who are saved that can pray to him for help and even then he doesn't always save their lives or other peoples lives. Which is a good thing since God doesn't actually really need them to continue their work on this earth and they get to join him in paradise.

Only instances Christians are supernaturally saved is when God has them on a special mission that they must complete.

The only instances of miracles occurring in scripture is when it accompanies prophecy and the preaching of the Gospel. It is a temporary thing when the Gospel was breaking new ground like during the time of the Apostles come in mind which only seemed to last for a short time while they lived. It is specifically limited to certain geographic areas and people and never once did that alleviate the need for Science and Technology.

Even if you don't personally believe, your moral and cultural standards are informed by the belief system that you're essentially describing as stupid. You may be a good person, and I know many atheists who I would say are better people, man for man, than a lot of believers—I don't doubt that. Over time the accumulation of disbelief leads to things like the Bolshevik revolution, destruction of stable gender roles, and other social mutations. One cell that doesn't abide by the set principles of the organism is a harmless aberration, but a clump of them is a tumor.

A hell of a lot of people have been slaughtered in the name of religion. Perhaps we need fewer Gods and the moralities that those religions impose upon their believers.
