I don't think this is enough of a cultural shift. In your twitter response you say that the paygap is a myth, but that doesn't get to the point, not even close enough.

Look, ask yourself a question honestly, how do feel if women earn the same you? Does that feel ok? Maybe it's not an issue for you. But for me, when women I personally know earn more than me it pisses me off. It's just something I feel deep inside and I cannot switch it off. I don't know but I guess many would feel like this. I would even say it is an intrinsic part of being man.

If this is something that makes me feel bad, it doesn't make sense for me live with it for the rest of my life. That is too much to ask a person to tolerate.

The thing is that is the point we need to be making. We need to say that we are not happy to compete with women, and that we are not happy if they earn the same as us. It's not about fairness, it's about what we want and what we are willing to accept. It is unacceptable for women in general to earn more than me. Not only am I not working for any company that pits me against a woman, or tries to make one my equal, but those companies promoting these ideas are actively out to hurt me, and hence I consider them my enemies.

By 'leveling the playing field', so to speak, these companies are taking away from me the most important thing in my life, my manliness and any status/power/privilege it carries. That is a serious offense but as it's not illegal people think it's ok. But it's not.

It's not wrong, but natural and human, to expect to earn more than women.

There is nothing wrong with you rolling up on twitter and straight up telling them how feel/think.

"Fuck that Equal Pay bullshit. I'm never accepting that. I need to earn more than women, and I wont accept anything less. This advert is a personal insult and attack on my identity, and I will take action I find appropriate."

We need to be more vocal about not accepting equal pay. We need to let them know how we feel about it.

Even better, its rare imported car not easily available. I saw once or twice Corvette, regular Z06, older model and it drew attention more than for example Mercedes CLS class or even Ferrari! Because everybody knows what Ferrari is, they might not have seen it in person though, but people are surprised more when they see American muscle car such as Corvette.

There was a time in my life where I really aspired towards owning a German luxury car.

No longer. Over the years I simply don't want to be associated with the people I've seen driving those cars.

I just picked up a '16 Genesis Coupe R-spec a month ago, fun for drifting and overall fuckery. It's a relatively cheap source of 350hp. I plan on driving it into the ground and then supporting Ford's return to American Greatness by picking up a GT500 that's rolling out, maybe stripping out the insides and converting it to a stunt car a la Kurt Russel's ride in "Deathproof".

But yeah anyway fuck Audi.

Also, if only VAG were so committed to honestly meeting US/Euro emissions regulations for the sake of their customers, they wouldn't be paying back $1.3B to buy back all of their non-compliant 3.0l 'Clean' Diesel TDI V6s off the road in addition to the $10B+ they spent buying back the 2.0 TDI cars.
