There is also a theory that the Bronze Age Collapse was due in part due to a comet strike (fire from the heavens destroying Sodom and many dark nights of storms, rain, and ash).

I did not present the facts very clearly. My apologies.

Taking shiny rocks means the owls will eat your baby. Taking any rocks of any type let's just say within the boundaries of Volcano National Park will lead to bad luck until they are returned.

Therfor, since the shiny rocks are still rocks, on top of the owl issue, you will also have bad luck.

This may be the governments way of keeping kids from touching rocks in an area where rocks are very hot, and limiting their liability in burn suits. My little brother took shiny and regular rocks. He has no kids, but has asthma.

I don't make the rules.

It's a phenomenon definitely worth monitoring and posting about in this thread. If we start to see a lot more fissures (and similar things like massive sinkholes) happening at the same time in various different locations then it could be an indication of large scale continental or global seismic activity.

At the moment it's too early to say.
