So in the game websites, I see there is a lot of condescension towards big western cities like Toronto (Roosh did a video Toronto Sucks).

However, watching youtube pickup videos in cities like this makes me wonder why? If game is a numbers game, wouldnt having more numbers help? And girls dont seem that much different than a midwestern girl?[/u]

No the entire attitude of some of these cities is hostile. You can't magically change a city's culture like that. In cities like Toronto and D.C. girls have more options and therefore are bitchier unless you have some kind of inherent worth. Social circle is king in all of these kinds of cities if you want to get out of having something average.

1. Why would I choose to live in a place like Toronto when I'm living in one of the best cities in the South United States? There's better places hence why we don't choose to live in a place like Toronto or D.C. You don't see us bashing big cities in general here. Just those toxic cities.

Basically because those cities have more of the "top 1% of men screw everybody" effect*, that competition is high, and the quality of women is relatively low. It's not about the population size, it's more about the western bit.

*Does anyone know the scientific name for this? I.e. like how only 1% of elephant seals reproduce, but in other pair-bonding species it's much higher?

I was gonna say "hypergamy" but then Googled and learned that that's not actually a biology term.

Polygynandry is the most accurate term. Polygyny could be accurate as well, and is easier to say. There is no specific word when dealing with the "top 1%". But polygynandry implies few men to women in a mating circle, which is what we are trying to define.

I think "The Polygynist 1%'ers" is the easiest term to use.

Regarding OP's question, i think he needs to travel more and he will recognize that culture, women, and men are not the same wherever you go.

But what is the name of the mating process, like elephant seals, where there is no courtship or pair-bonding process -- the females simply try to gravitate as close to the center of the mating area for a quick fuck? Those biology folk have names for everything, there must be a specific name for that.

Gorillas have polygynandry too, but they have a more ownership-based system, i.e. the strongest gorilla controls a territory and the females contained within, and they mate with him on an ongoing basis (kind of like wealthy muslims and their multiple wives as opposed to tinder hookup sluts).

This won't be popular but I'll admit I fall under this generalization as well.

A good percentage of guys who have to learn game, probably 50%, are playing catch up in developing their social and dating skills because they weren't developed during their teen years. In turn this forces them into scripted stereotypes of PUAs (big hats and makeup, dark triad bad boy/fuck boy, spam approaching dancing monkey, gym bro whos only hobby is lifting, etc) and while you can get success with those types of "game" the issue is that women very easily compartmentalize guys and react accordingly. 90% of guys game is 1 dimensional so they only get 1 dimension of treatment from women. If they fall into any of the mentioned pua categories then 99% of the time it's terrible.

The same way guys know how to "game" certain types of girls (daddy issues, bottle rats, rave girls, etc) to get what they want (sex) women also know how to game PUA stereotypes to get what they want (attention, validation, free stuff) and the way they do that is with:

-lies
-cheating
-flaking
-stringing you along for attention
-etc

Think about it, if you were a girl and you wanted to get what you wanted and you knew the guy fell under one of the pua/player stereotypes how would you game them to maximize returns? By banging him the first hour or stringing him along to make him think he's almost there?

When women come across a guy whos "normal" or as the community likes to call it a "natural" (takes care of himself, has a grip on his career, has abundance, dresses sharp, has a multidimensional/interesting personality, knows when to be alpha, knows when to be "beta", knows when/how to flirt, lead, escalate, etc) she'll treat him like royalty because it'll be a good hookup and in her mind she's thinking "i'm almost there" in terms of commitment the same way the PUA is thinking about a hookup. It's game reversed on you.

For every guy who says "X western city has terrible women" i'm sure he knows at least 1 "natural" of equal looks and status who says the city has amazing women. That's because the "natural" isn't playing catch up and hasn't boxed himself in to 1 dimension of game with 1 dimension of treatment.

Don't get me wrong, certain cities have their own issues (toronto/DC SJWS, LA flaking, NYC 3 digit notch counts, etc) but those issues don't just apply to the women and there are plenty of good women to be found in those cities. Certain foreign cities do make it easier for a variety of reasons but the one thing they all have in common is that you're not like the local guys. And if you were to ask the local guys who fall into any PUA category they'll tell you the same, "the women here are terrible".

Given the option yes I'd choose Moscow over LA because it'll be 10x easier but when you hear "all the women in x city are trash" it's safe to say you're dealing with a guy who's still developing himself and hasn't calibrated his game yet.

I agree with most of your statement but this. You've dodged around the issue more or less.

It would be

A. disingenuous to say that some of these cities don't just flat out suck compared to others even in the United States. Not to mention NYC being one hell of a place to get pussy so I don't know why you would add it to the list of "terrible" cities.

B. Also the simple fact that cities have their own personalities that work better for some guys over others. It's not so much that guys are socially awkward but that it takes a certain kind of guy to do well in X or Y city. I love Houston and have it great here, but on the other hand in L.A. I don't get the same level of play I do here. Why? Because it takes a different kind of animal to do well there.

Though I will also admit that there are a lot of socially awkward guys out there involved with this PUA garbage.

While you're on YouTube, search using these terms "Chanty Binx Big Red", "Feminist Protest UofT", "Smugglypuff", "Gregory Alan Elliott", "Janice Fiamengo", "Lauren Southern Toronto".

Toronto real estate is also unnaturally expensive to live in compared to real economic powerhouse cities like New York, but with less the culture & poorer quality women.

There are literally thousands of people from questionable jurisdictions who drop a few million on a 70-year-old Bungalow in North Toronto because American federal agencies are more strict with regards to that transfer of money. Downtown Toronto is also increasing with 60-70+ storey condos in the downtown core where foreigners "invest" in it at a larger scale than real estate in Manhattan Fifth Avenue.

So in other words, Toronto is like the Dubai of North America (expensive, no fun, lack of sex) with SHE-RIA law, not Sharia Law, Sheria Law.

The misconception about Toronto is that since over 300,000 immigrants live in Canada per year, then the variety & quality would be feasible. Not really. Reason is that once an immigrant female speaks to a social worker or other Canadian bureaucrat like teacher or Professor, she is more likely to become a man-hater just like the local women.

King of PUA Mystery originated from Toronto. It was an urban folklore that Mystery invented the Mystery Method because it wasn't easy to get laid in Toronto in the late 1990s-early 2000s at the peak of Mystery's career.

Well, one thing to consider is Roosh has been to many cities in Europe and Latin America. So he would compare his experiences from those cities with Toronto. Toronto does have a lot of attractive women, but also has it's drawbacks. Fortunately there are a lot of beta men that have a lack of self confidence, fashion sense, and traditional masculine virtues. You can capitalize by actually not being one of those guys, and actually by becoming a confident well dressed masculine man. I'm also living in a suburb of Toronto. My problem with Toronto is that its a very expensive city to live in, its a suburban city with most of the action happening downtown, and the dating market can be competitive with some stuck up women. But there are still some great women out here in this city, and you can still have a good time. If you have the chance to leave this city, I highly recommend it. Ottawa was a better city IMO, and had way more attractive women. But if you have an opportunity to live abroad the women are even better. Tbh, it all depends on your situation, don't worry about what other people say and do you.
