Help me understand this from a Game perspective?
So I was watching this documentary on Chad Le Clos (who I am a big fan of) - swimmer who beat Phelps in 2012 olympics - same guy who was shadow boxing in front of Phelps in 2016 olympics.

In this at 39:00 he explains why he had bad performance for a while - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSaNmVZ6A5I&t=2360s

A girl broke up with him??? He has got tons of money, fame, looks and what not??

How in the world could a girl break up with him?

Did the other guy have game? Could Chad have "anti-game"?

Based on my societal experiences I just dont get why a girl would pick anyone else? Doesnt make any sense.

Michael Phelps is 100x more popular than that guy and his girl broke up with him once too.

There is a lot more to relationships than Money or Status. That isn't a guarantee that a woman will stay with him. Maybe she was tired of him, found another man, he cheated on her, he became weak, he was emotionally unavailable, etc.

Women are looking for a guy that's going to be around and that doesn't have a lot of stuff to do so that he can spend more time with her. The guy with time is worth more to her than the guy with everything but time. The guy that's willing to trade his dream for her dream is worth more to her than the guy that's chasing after his own dream. In her mind he wasn't the ideal "partner" because he has a bigger goal and that bigger goal isn't her.

"Alphaness" and value isn't everything. It's probably 70% of the things in consideration at best.

The rest is things like logistics/proximity/social circle, and a "connection".

Alpha always needs a side of Beta.
Being on the road a lot means she may be bored and look for "adventure"

"I love a fulfilling and sexual relationship. That is why I make the effort to have many of those" - TheMaleBrain
"Now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb." - Spaceballs
"If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine" - Obi-Wan Kenobi

I respectfully disagree. I've said this before, but I think it bears repeating -- a woman mustn't be a man's raison d'etre. If she is, she won't be his woman for long. Despite their protestations to the contrary, a woman would rather play "second fiddle" to a man with higher priorities than be "everything" to a man with nothing else going for him.

When it comes to women, you have to understand that no matter what you do, they're going to find fault somehow. If you're always working, you'll be accused of not spending enough time with her. If you spend every waking moment with her, she'll quickly become bored and need "space." If you're going to err, I'd err on the side of spending less time with them than more. You ever hear the phrase "You don't know what you got 'til it's gone"? Same deal. When you deprive her of your presence, you give her an opportunity to miss you. Something that is "high value" won't always be available, after all.

This should go without saying but I'll say it anyway, don't go overboard and think you can get by with only seeing her every few weeks or months and expect her to remain faithful to you.

As for why a girl would dump a high-value man?

Remember: Never underestimate the rationalization hamster. The same female operating system that can come up with a million things it loves about you, can quickly turn and come up with a million things it hates about you once it suits its purpose to do so.

Welcome to human nature. That's the thing that nobody talks about in game community. This is the that magic thing that makes Britney date some Kevin, drives that girl to break up with sport god Phelps and allows me, a regular guy, to date cool beautiful women I don't "deserve".
