I have an account on Vietnam Cupid. Most of the user base is "average" to "cute" to some are "attractive". It isn't an endless line of smoke shows. Keep in mind that the most attractive women in any country aren't going to be online. You need social circle game in any country to access that level. Vietnam is no exception from what I can tell.

Seems like the other cupids, for the most part the girls are legit, but VC seems to have a higher amount of fakes. You'll see the weirdest stuff written in girl's profiles, stuff that just doesn't make any sense. Maybe some idiot writes their profiles for them and they are real. It's hard to say.

But while for most of the cupids, the talent is very poor, the talent is decent on VC (assuming 70% of the good ones are real). Another negative is that many of the girls don't speak a high level of english.
If you do sign up, I recommend only buying one month.

Fwiw, I plan on going to Vietnam for the first time in Jan or February. I signed up on VC about two weeks ago.

Hi I have followed this forum for a while and finally set up an account to post. Thanks to prior contributors. The information have been invaluable. I am currently pipelining w/ okcupid and likely wechat in the future. W/ plan arrival in HCMC on 12/2. How many contacts would you say is needed in order to approach a 50% lay count over 14 days? I am vietnamese by birth, speak it conversationally, and would classify my game as beginner/intermediate (4 SNLs from cold approaches in Vegas. Big Thanks to ThoughtGypsy and his girlfriend for hosting and making Thanksgiving dinner for the RVF crew here (Filipino style!). It was truly delicious, remarkable and many said one of the best they remember. It certainly was for me.

What a great group of people we have here. It will be sad for me to see many of them moving on in the coming weeks.

I've only been in Vietnam for a few days, but I'm liking it so far. Before this, I was in Jakarta for the weekend and I'm glad to be out of that shithole. Saigon is a bit more manageable and cleaner than Jakarta. There is also stuff you can do during the day and it feels more "Asian" to me in the way people act, the lack of English only signs, etc. I feel more relaxed here as well, granted I've been taking it easy. I've only been here a few days but it doesn't feel as "scammy" as I thought it would based on some posts I read on here. However, I'm also Asian so don't know if that has an effect (probably blend in more).

My first date that I had set up in Saigon flaked. Not that hot so deleted her.

Second date didn't flake but she showed up with a friend, which I don't think was part of the plan. It wasn't so bad because she looked better in real life. Like from a 6 to an 8 (subjective). She was super cute and smelled nice. Her, her friend, and I chilled at a cafe for a little. They both like Korea which is good for me. There seems to be a Korean factor here but definitely not as pronounced as Bangkok (but this is just based off a few days here). On that note, there are so many Koreans here. Some Japanese as well but not as much (for some reason I feel like Japanese don't really leave Japan much). The Korean and Japanese businesses are everywhere. A Vietnamese man I met today told me that Japan and Korea are the top foreign investors in Vietnam, which is definitely evidenced by all the Korean and Japanese brands one sees on the street like Family Mart, Hollys Cafe, etc.

I eventually convince the girl to come back to my place... but her friend comes, too. I don't really know what to say (too polite) so we all go. Nothing is really going down sex-wise but the "connection" is solid and she is really digging me and ok with me touching her. I even put my hand on her pussy (like above her pants) below the table but don't do anything further. - Compared to the few girls i talked to last night, she seemed like she had traveled more. I think this had a negative effect on her personality. Haha, also, the dumb, uneducated ho didn't know how to use my laptop and was like touching the screen and shit thinking it worked like a tablet or phone. Good thing i have a screen protector.

Even though I didn't bang, it was an interesting first night out in a totally new country. Not sure I'll go out again unless other people want to (trying to move away from nightlife) but might have no choice as my time is limited (I keep saying I'm gonna start doing more daygame but is that really plausible for a short-term stay in terms of quick bangs?) Met some guy who said food up north ~Hanoi is better so we'll see.

Afterwards, we went to get bubble tea around Bitexco Financial Center, which is this brand-new, swank skyscraper that has a "sky deck" (decent tourist attraction but all those things pale in comparison to their equivalents in NYC IMO due to New York's skyline). This area, at night, around Nguyen Hue Street, had a decent amount of cuties walking around (like "8s" maybe a couple of 9s - but those mainly were bar girl types). The thing with these Viet girls though, in my opinion, is that they're not as "polished" as their Korean and Japanese counterparts (probably because Vietnam is still third world). That is, you see girls with decent faces and figures who could probably look better if they knew how to present themselves just a little bit better with makeup, dress, etc. I haven't been to every country in SE Asia but I could see "hottest in SE Asia" but "hottest in all of Asia" seems like a stretch (all opinion of course...) I'm not sure I'd come all the way here just for the girls again, but definitely some decent looking girls around. Bodies I'd say are somewhere between the NE Asians (aka nothing) and SE Asians like Indonesians - I might've said this already.

Anyway, we were looking for a pharmacy and finally a taxi driver took us to one that was open.

I got the impression that the pill itself was over-the-counter, too as the guy asked me "one time or every day?" when I was trying to buy the Plan B.

Tinder is enough in Saigon. It's like almost every local girl between 19 and 30 uses it.
Never been to Hanoi so I couldn't say how girls are over there. I keep hearing that Saigonese are more into foreigners though

Direct can be tough. It is just not the local culture. Even in bars locals don't really fancy being approached directly. Of course for expats it's another story.

The smartphone culture having swallowed everything around here, it is almost odd for a single person no to be on Tinder or another dating app.

I've been pipeling on both tinder and vietnamcupid, just that the language barrier seems to be quite challenging for communicating with them. I figured in person, I can at least use non-verbals and hand gestures, plus I can understand a little of Vietnamese.

^ Don't get put off by naysayers. Most people around here don't even do daygame. They just state opinions about it.

I did a bit in HCMC but the main challenge was actually locating sets. Walking Street is being done up for Tet at the moment so there isn't as much traffic as usual. Try VinCom mall and report back on how it goes for you.
