I hope you'll bear with me on this, so I'll start out with the meat.

Every pervasive societal trend can be traced to the manipulation of a primal biological driver in human nature.

In this instance I believe the primal biological driver is children seeking attention and the manipulation of that driver is the selective providence of societal attention.

Children (or more specifically non-viable individuals) seek attention as a survival mechanism. They can't survive on their own so they need confirmation of their existence from capable adults. The more confirmation they get the more resources they secure. The loudest chick in the nest gets the most food, even as others starve. Only careful k-select behaviour will negate this (and in hard times even k-select parents will still opt to send the smart kid to college and the dumb kid to work, hence academic achievement was once a means to secure attention and therefore resources).

So how does this tie into the freaks on the first page.

For the same reason that we have the term "we must celebrate diversity".

Read every word separately and marvel at the sheer marxist genius of it.

We. Must. Celebrate. Diversity.

Who is celebrated? Diversity.
Who gets that monkey-brain hit of attention? Diversity.
Who's biological drivers are fulfilled? Diversity.
What do you need to do to get that attention? Be diverse.
What is the exact opposite? Be normal.

Who will starve in the nest? The normal ones.

Everyone should understand now why this "gender is a construct" bullshit is pushed so ridiculously early in marxist school systems now. Who gets celebrated? Mary CIS? Johnny Heterosexual? Nope. It's the transgender kid. Not "accepted". Not "treated like everyone else".

So brave, they are. So lucky, are we to have them. Smart kids? Who gives a fuck. Athletically gifted? Don't care. Track records of success and achievement? No doubt due to the hold-over effects of discrimination.

But put on a dress and get hormone therapy? We could not be prouder.

The irony is that this behaviour by definition will cease the second it becomes stale and old-hat, but by then the damage will be done and the elites will try to ram home another form of societal decay posed as virtue by leveraging their ability to choose what behaviours will grant special levels of attention to children. So far the up-and-coming safe bet is adult-child sexual relationships. As insane as that sounds, take a look at those pictures again and tell me how they would have looked 20 years ago.

The gateway to this drug of attention lies in the old-media and public education/college. We each have our role to play in slaying those two beasts, but the most important part of the equation still lies at home.

Sons, daughters, nephews and nieces. All should be given plenty of attention for the right reasons or they will seek it for the wrong ones.

Yeah I agree it's about attention, but not sure if it's really a "top-down designed" process.

I think it's just a manifestation of the so-called "attention economy".

The fact is that it's increasingly getting harder to make a living for many people - just recently there was a study that said that 95% of new jobs added in the US in the last 5 years or so were temporary jobs, not regular steady 9-5 jobs. I.e. the freelance / gig economy is one the rise. Some people thrive in that environment, but many don't.

In order to get these freelance / gig jobs you have to market yourself constantly. But also with steady job you have to market yourself, because jobs are less secure than they used to be. It's all about "building your brand". So this creates the mindset that you need to draw attention to yourself. Fact is, attention can get you MANY opportunities nowadays - just look at the Insta girls who make good $$ from their accounts, or even Mike Cernovich. Of course, ideally you draw attention to yourself with a skill, with something that you're good at, with something that provides value to other people. But many people simply don't have an exceptional skill. So they try to get attention with other means.

For some people this works quite well. There is this one guy on Insta - not sure how to call him, transsexual? Transgender? Either way, he wears makeup and women's clothes. He has a massive following online and recently he was the first "guy" who became the face for a well-known makeup brand (forgot which one). So I'm sure he's making good $$ with that advertising deal. Without being "transgender" that guy would be nothing special, just some regular guy who looks quite good, but that doesn't mean anything.

So if you're "normal" you simply don't get that much attention, hence less opportunities. Although this is starting to change, that's why you see increasingly girls jumping on the "alt-right" / conservative bandwagon and branding themselves that way on YouTube etc. Although in that case it's not about being "normal" either, it's about having that specific identity.

The US has always been a country that's very strong on individualism, and the current economical situation is simply spurring this attitude on even more. I think that's really the main reason behind this "trend".

They even restricted - and from what I hear, still restrict - Russian Jews from certain fields of study out of paranoia that they would once again get too aggressively involved in politics as they did during the revolution.

Aside from that latter aspect, we would have done well to follow their example of not wasting critical resources on so many inevitably unproductive graduates when all signs pointed to much different demands in the economy. Alas, after WW2 we could do no wrong and the cultural rot set in as sacrifices were forgotten as the middle class grew large and comfortable. Plus, we still had enough people to do the heavy lifting for a few decades, at least.

Like most parents, American middle class parents "want the best" for their kids. However beyond food, shelter and preparing for life, they've made it their mission to "put them through college" without ever thinking what, exactly, they are helping pay to produce. Unfortunately the parents are more concerned with their own egos than whether or not junior can get a job. Most nowadays don't even step in to challenge the kid who changes his major three times in two years among subjects with no demonstrable market value. A combination of ego and a warped sense of parental duty pushes this train off the cliff of financial destruction and career suicide.

Every middle class parent would rather say "my son, the barista with the BA degree" instead of "my son, the truck driver with the GED," even if the truck driver son makes more money. This same parental ego is what pushes them to demand their representative "make college more affordable!" by way of easy, cheap federal student loans. The so-called nonprofit college industry cheers this on and returns the favor by raising tuition to pay for ever more outrageous programs and costly infrastructure at the campuses, and the cycle repeats itself.

Realistically, I don't see Trump taking this one on other than by way of some occasional rhetoric, because Americans of all political persuasions are too self-interested to care or even recognize the magnitude of the problem. In fact, the biggest demand now isn't for some kind of sacrifice or reckoning, but yet another gimme - "pay my student loans, you bastards!" If he wants to get re-elected, he's going to have a tough time addressing this problem - the egos of those parents just won't allow THEIR special snowflake to face the music of reality.
