Hauled in before her boss, she was then told to hand over her laptop and ministry identity card and stay at home provisionally suspended on full pay.

The woman involved accuses the ministry of harming her private life with a "vindictive measure" that seriously harmed her professional reputation, Het Laatste Nieuws reports.

Her lawyer was not available for comment but the woman was quoting as saying: "I'm being treated like a leper," insisting she had the support of her colleagues.

Belgian media said ministry director Benoit Breyne had made the decision to suspend the worker provisionally pending further inquiries.

Belgium's top administrative court, the Council of State, said she had herself taken the risk of sullying her reputation by taking the pictures and disseminating them on the internet.

Happened in the Netherlands, too, with a woman working for a bank and moonlighting as a hooker. Thankfully she didn't prattle on and play a total victim card.

But this Belgian girl is hamstering like hamsters do. It is amazing how the modern state has regressed to the point where a lawyer is able to take on a case like hers because it's feasible she could win. It's impossible to fire many bureaucrats, provided they don't insult lesbian single mother indigenous transgender people (who identify as wheelchair users despite being born able-bodied) by telling them that their work performance was subpar.

Here in Australia, lawyers who take on hopeless cases risk disbarment from the profession. I am sure the same occurs in Belgium.

Thank god for private sector values. Free market companies are still subject to many employment laws, but they're a cut above the shit we see in the public sector.
