A look at Medium.com: Laughing at the Leftists Who Bash Trump
I have had a love hate relationship with the website Medium for a while. I occasionally go on to there and find some nice, well written, pro-Trump articles that stimulate and intrigue. However, most times, I go on to the site and find leftist crybabies writing hate pieces on Trump, or there are stories that make you laugh for hours after thinking about them. Here are a few samples:

First, we are going to take a look at some articles from the Editor-in-chief of ThinkProgress; Judd Legum, an idiot, among other things. Anti-Trump articles are pretty much all he contributes to Medium’s subsidiary site; ThinkProgress. It’s a good laugh reading a Judd Legum article; strap in boys.

On Steve Bannon:
Trump names white nationalist figure ‘Chief Strategist to the President’

Quote:In his role at Breitbart, he promoted and legitimized the modern white supremacist movement, sometimes euphemistically referred to as the “alt-right.”
Ben Shapiro, who worked alongside Bannon for four years as Breitbart’s Editor-at-Large, wrote that Bannon “openly embraced the white supremacist alt-right.” According to Shapiro, “Breitbart has become the alt-right go-to website… pushing white ethno-nationalism as a legitimate response to political correctness, and the comment section turning into a cesspool for white supremacist mememakers.”
Shapiro describes Bannon as “a vindictive, nasty figure, infamous for verbally abusing supposed friends and threatening enemies.”
Bannon gave a platform to Milo Yiannopoulos, a prominent white nationalist figure who was banned from Twitter for inciting racist abuse and harassment.

Ben, how could you! Seriously, it’s funny how little cuck Ben, a devout Jew, would talk about Bannon being a white nationalist. Didn’t he enjoy working at Breitbart until he quit over the Michelle Fields incident? White knighting to the max, first of all, second, if he knew Bannon had these views why did he continue to work at Breitbart for four years? That Cruz superpac money must of gotten to his head. Sad!

According to Jake Tapper, CNN Anchor and Chief Washington Correspondent, Bannon’s Ex-wife stated that in 2007, he stated in court that he:

Steve Bannon Wrote:“didn’t want the girls going to school with Jews... He said he doesn’t like Jews..."

Weird, considering the majority of Breitbart employees are Jews, and the most prominent is a Jew and gay! But Bannon is totally a bigot, guys. Hilarious mental gymnastics here.

Emboldened white nationalists celebrate Trump victory

Quote:Trump’s relationship with Duke is complicated. He initially was reluctant to disavow Duke’s endorsement.
“Just so you understand, I don’t know anything about David Duke, OK?,” Trump told CNN’s Jake Tapper. “I know nothing about David Duke; I know nothing about white supremacists.”
In a press conference shortly thereafter, he did nominally disavow Duke.

No, Judd, there is nothing complicated with their relationship. He wasn’t reluctant at all. He disavowed. Case closed. Judd’s article inspires projectile vomit, however I dug deep and kept reading. He later decides to throw people such as Alex Jones, and Mark Dice into his definition of “White Supremacists.”

Quote:Duke’s enthusiasm was shared by other prominent white nationalists.

The Saxon has awoken.

I feel like I am living in the fucking twilight zone. You’re having a tough time tonight, Judd. Low energy, Sad!

Enough of Judd, we’re moving on to Bullshit.ist; another subsidiary of Medium.

10 stocks that had double digit gains on Trump’s win that are terrifying

This gem of an article is regarding how scary it is that stocks are rising for various military companies after Trumps presidency win. What the offer doesn’t mention is that the entire stock market has risen. Not just the military companies.

Quote:Over 250 stocks on the NYSE and NASDAQ had gains greater than 10% on November 9th, the first day the market was open after Trump won the election. 10% is a huge gain for a stock, so I wanted to see why Wall Street would be so excited about these companies under President Trump. What I found is very scary.
Aerojet Rocketdyne Holdings, Inc., up 11.5%
This is a company that builds nuclear weapons, fighter jets, and a variety of other weapons. Trump bemoaned that our nuclear arsenal was falling behind Russia in the first debate (he was wrong) and repeatedly called for increased military spending on the campaign trail. This stock’s gains are especially troubling as nuclear weapons, if used, could lead to the destruction of humanity as we know it.

Fearmonger much? Of course companies are going to go up in stock. Especially when half of the US is convinced that trump will start WWIII; some leftists are smart I guess and decided to jump on the gravy train. However that train will never come, it has been derailed by Trump decreasing the risk of US-Russia conflict exponentially.

We move onto an article that was recently written by George Takei.
We Can’t Go Back - What Donald Trump needs to understand about Japanese internment

Takei is a real character, among other things; as stated on his personal website:

GeorgeTakei.com Wrote:George Takei is best known for his portrayal of Mr. Sulu in the acclaimed television and film series Star Trek. He’s an actor, social justice activist, social media mega-power, originated the role of Sam Kimura and Ojii-Chan in the Broadway musical Allegiance, and subject of To Be Takei, a documentary on his life and career.

He is a self-proclaimed social justice activist. You know the article is going to be good now! Let us begin.

His whole article is meant to be fear-inspiring, it tries to compare Trump's proposals on Muslims with Japanese internment. The elephant in the room here however, is that Takei doesn’t seem to understand the difference between illegal jailing of American Citizen (Japanese internment), and denying refugees(Muslims) citizenship/housing.

Quote:When the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, life changed for our family and thousands of other families like us. Suddenly we were presumed to be the enemy. We were questioned, followed, suspected, and accused of being spies or saboteurs simply because of our ancestry. The government that was supposed to protect us against mob rule suddenly had become the mob. It is hard to describe a more gripping, more pervasive sense of terror.
Quote:Donald Trump and his advisors do not understand that some history should never, ever be repeated. They do not know the anguish that it caused tens of thousands of Japanese Americans, who became prisoners in our own country. They did not live through it, and they cannot fathom it. But some of us did. Some of us remember. And we have pledged to never let it happen again.

My father once told me that American democracy is a people’s democracy at heart, and that it therefore can be as great as the American people, or as fallible. It depends on all of us. But our system is more fragile than we know. To sustain it, we must always cherish the ideals on which it was founded, remain vigilant against the dark forces that threaten it, and actively engage in the process of making it work. The election may not have turned out the way many hoped, but we must take each setback as a challenge to stand up ever taller.

What a wonderful idea, George. I completely agree. However, the dark force as you describe it, is not Donald Trump, it is the Muslims who are posing as ‘refugees’ coming over to our great nation trying to impose an authoritarian ideology on people who just want to be left the fuck alone.

Quote:I am rededicating the balance of my years to hold this country I love up to its highest ideals. I want to make a more perfect union, and require our government to stand for what is right, regardless of who occupies the Oval Office. Our fight will be harder under a Donald Trump administration, there is little doubt. But we must recommit ourselves, each of us, to ensuring that we treat all persons equally, that every individual and community retains a voice, and that at all times we have got each others backs. Nothing is more vital.

Oh, believe me, George. I am young, and I will fight for this country and for liberty until my dying breath. Unfortunately, it seems as though you are directly against everything that makes this nation great.

Bonus: I don’t know if this dude is a butt-hurt Hillary supporter, or a beautiful, shitlording Trump supporter. Either way, this is amazing: Are You Fucking Kidding Me?

Refuge and Fear in Trump’s America

Theringer.com Wrote:Riyad Alkasem likes to tell stories about this country. He tells them to American friends, feeding their desire to believe their country exceptional. He’s told them to Syrian friends, arguing that the nation he left them for is among the greatest in the world. He tells them to his children when they grow angry and afraid, and to himself when he feels alone and confused.

They are the same stories that America has always loved to tell itself: that this is a place where an independent-thinking immigrant like him can flourish, a country that has solved tyranny and delivered freedoms much of the world will never know.

He began telling these stories more than 26 years ago, as he sat in a college library in Syria, and he has told them time and again since he first set foot on American soil soon after that. Now 49, he tells them today, as he sits outside the restaurant he owns in the slice of deep red America where he has built his life: Hendersonville, Tennessee.

He talks in between bites of hummus and lamb. He wears a black chef’s coat and black curly hair, his stubble patched with gray. The sky is crisp, and the weight of this moment in history hangs in the cool air as he collects his thoughts. He is a Syrian American Muslim man, living in the South, married to a white woman, father to two college-aged biracial sons. Time and again over these 26 years, he has felt the full force of American fear and prejudice. Yet, he says, he lives the life so many immigrants believe that only America can promise. His restaurant, Café Rakka, serves Syrian dishes to suburban housewives and country music stars, and once hosted the Food Network’s Guy Fieri.

He worries, though. He follows the news from his home country, and he sees reports of endless massacres in Aleppo, where he attended college. He has watched as foreign jihadists have arrived in his hometown of Raqqa and built ISIS, the most brutal terror organization in the world. And in his new home country, he has watched friends and neighbors vote to elect a president who has vowed to strip Muslim immigrants of their rights. So he tells these stories, of what he fled in Syria, of what America promised and what it delivered, and of the spaces in between. But sometimes he stops. Sometimes he wonders.

“I ask myself,” he says, “did I spend the last 26 years of my life living a dream?”

“Or did I spend the last 26 years of my life living a lie?”

RE: A look at Medium.com: Laughing at the Leftists Who Bash Trump
My Homophobic Youth and the Moment that Changed Me

Not really about Trump, but still a very cringey victim complex type article.

medium.com Wrote:The 80s were an incredibly homophobic time to be a teenager. Comedians picked on gay people without hesitation and to much applause. Eddie Murphy in particular did brutal mockeries of gay people before falling from grace following an embarrassing scandal with a trans prostitute. Christian right-wing fanatics thought homosexuality to be a curable disease and advocated loudly for conversion therapies, a mythical “cure” that sadly endures. “Faggot” was the most common insult my friends and enemies hurled at each other and it was used freely, daily.

In grade school I had been a pretty active bi-sexual kid, playing doctor with boys and girls in equal measure up through third grade. But all that stopped once I got to middle school. I prayed at night for God not to “make me gay” and tried to avoid the uncomfortable truth that my own twin brother was most likely gay himself. I found the prospect of being a member of such a hated group of people to be absolutely terrifying.

It was against that backdrop of psychic turmoil that I went off to a Christian sleep-away camp in the middle of the woods one summer between 6th and 7th grade. Eagle’s Nest Camp was a richly diverse and progressive Episcopal camp and for all its flaws, it did help shape who I am today. If nothing else, it was a petri dish experiment for how people from extremely different circumstances and backgrounds could live together for a few weeks each summer. One memory stands out from all the others. I forget what the activity was exactly, but our cabin was decorating a banner with images of the things we most despised in the world. Maybe we were going to burn it and shed our sins or something, I don’t know. But I remember clearly that I drew a caricature of a gay man with a limp wrist and wrote “fag” with an arrow pointing to him. That was my one contribution to the banner.

A woman counselor supervising us and leading the activity got right up in my face and challenged me: “My brother is gay and that offends me that you put that on our banner. I want you to remove it.”

I squirmed defensively and probably refused, slipping away from her. She may have scribbled it out herself. But almost immediately I realized that I wasn’t comfortable with what I’d drawn either. I stewed in shame for the rest of the week and felt a sting every time I replayed the event. Gradually my feeling of having been wronged was replaced by the unescapable realization that I was the one who was wrong. I hurt this woman who loved her gay brother. Not only was she not denying that he was gay, she was openly standing up for him when he wasn’t even around. I couldn’t shake the power and clarity of what she’d said. I have no idea who that woman was, but the truth is she changed me with that one gesture.

By high school I met two of my best friends in the world who openly and gleefully talked about masturbation, pretended to hump in the hallways and pantomimed giving each other blowjobs in the backs of cars. It was no big deal to them and it blew my mind. These friends were my own personal sexual liberation movement. But I doubt I would have ever reached them without that course correction in my middle school years. My mind would probably still be closed.

The power we have to change the people in our immediate orbit is real. And we need to speak up now more than ever.

After reading this thread months ago I made some kind of mistake and get spam from these guys. This popped up today:
https://medium.com/cuepoint/licensed-to-....hk2r6nmx0

Licensed to Ill: The Beastie Boys’ Complicated Legacy
Sexism and homophobia are forever tied to the Beasties’ debut—30 years on, so is their maturity and repentance

Long article but the title basically says it all.

I found it somewhat fascinating to see the inverse of my opinion on the Beastie Boys.

License to Ill is a great album, one of the best albums with drinking as a core theme.

After that album they went on a 3 decade worldwide Free-Tibet and Mumia apology tour to show how submissive to women they are.

I see this as a bad thing, a massive display of faggotry. The articles writer thinks this is a good thing.

Anyway yeah necro-bump, don't get on their mailing list.
