Mattis apparently has aggressive views toward Iran which I don't like at all, but nevertheless he's highly, highly respected by the military, which we arguably need right now and we need a warrior that's gonna take no shit with ISIS. We just have to put our faith in Trump to steer whoever he appoints that have differences with him (inevitable) in the direction he wants.

I don't like Mnuchin for treasury at all. Is there anyone else on the radar?

Per Bloomberg, the list for SoS looks pretty weak.

There are two possible names for Treasury:
Jeb Hensarling: Representative from Texas, chairman of House Financial Services Committee. (This guy will probably be the most likely pick.)
Tom Barrack: Founder of Colony Capital, real estate and private equity investor.
Jamie Dimon is another name that's been mentioned as well.

Rhee sounds great. Education needs parameters and goals to be set but the methods should be up to the individual school systems. A family member is a teacher and was explaining to me that the idea behind common core is that if a student transfers from Oregon to North Carolina over Christmas break in 7th grade, they should be able to seamlessly integrate into the class with no catch up time. I find that to be completely "lowest common denominator thinking" and begs the questions, why move to a better community and pay more in property taxes if the quality of education is the same five towns over with property values 30% lower?

Common Core was created as a stunt so paper pusher bureaucrats could evaluate and measure outputs. For hack Govt workers the success of the program does not mean anything, what matters is the ability to guage progress infinitely.

If Common Core succeeded in boosting performance then it would have to ramp down which is a no no in policy programs.

So now you get some LCD program where programs are structured to lean towards the bottom with a heavy emphasis on testing scores which then get cooked by the teachers. Their measures go up while kids get more dumb and then end up justifying the need for more money and program expansions.

Localized school systems that offer different curriculum that caters to local needs and the abolishment of enforced school zones would mean schools would focus on quality education or risk loosing funding. DC hates that as it is difficult to normalize and track. Public Health suffers from the same dog shit approach. The women who dominate these fields are obsessed on evaluation processes and have no care for efficiency or results based systems.

He retired 13' so he'll eligible in a few years.

HOWEVER, Trump could get congress to give Mattis a waiver. After all the Repubs have the majority now.

Ari is no longer as powerful as he used to be, there have been a lot of changes in Hollywood. Besides him being Trump's agent, Trump sold one of his companies to ARI(the modelling agency). Ari is in a middle of a big fucking feud with a bigger more powerful agency and many of the top clients have left or threatened to leave. He has bought himself some time by getting a chinese billionaire to invest in company as he diversifies into non-agent areas.
