Got a girl who I've been friends with for a few years. We hang out every few months since we live in different places but often do trips and even share hotels. Nothing happens - somehow I can't get an angle. She's a good friend but escaping the friend zone would be nice. Anyone here ever succeed? Strategy?

I'm going to give you advice for the future, because you've likely already blown it with this chick.

The best way to escape the "friend zone" is to never allow yourself to be put there in the first place. How do you do that? It's really not that difficult. Don't make a practice out of doing favors for girls, especially ones you're not fucking. Don't allow them to use you as an "emotional tampon." It's not your job to help them navigate their way through life, or offer them advice they won't take. You also need to sexualize your encounters with them as soon as possible, the longer they see you as a non-sexual entity the more difficult your task in getting them to see you differently will be.

Sometimes girls who are interested in fucking you (or would be) will "shit test" you by referring to you as their "friend." Nip this shit in the bud right away. I've actually said this:

Her: I'm glad we're friends now.
Me: I'm not your friend.
Her: (playfully) What?! Why don't you want to be my friend?
Me: I don't usually want to bend my friends over and fuck 'em.

The aforementioned anecdote is 100% true, and I ended up banging the girl I was talking to. Your results may vary, as every situation is different. That line wouldn't work for me 100% of the time, either -- it completely depends on the girl you're talking to. The bottom line is, if you feel a girl is trying to steer you toward the friend zone, it's better to either throw a bold Hail Mary or bow out than allow yourself to become a slave. There are far too many girls out there in the world to let yourself to be relegated to some chick's fucking purse holder.

Repetitive, but Interesting thread. I joined to the forum because I was tired to hear: "You are a great guy, but i just see you as a friend", also i wanted to learn game and bang the girls who i really like.

How to avoid The Friend Zone?

*Don't be too Nice.
*Refuse to do favors for her.
*Sexualize and touch her as soon as possible. Don't be afraid, It is better a fast rejection than see How another man bang your "friend" in the first date.
*Don't act too needy or pay too much attention to her.
*Don't accept to go out with her everytime, make her clear that you have other important things and even other optional girls(lie if you don't have)

One phrase that Helped me a lot. "Try to bang every girl that You like, If you can't with one, there are still tons of available girls".

Relate to your situation. Move on, few years and pretty sure The girl is banging other guys while she sees you as friend.

Escaping the friendzone takes an exceptional amount of luck, coupled with favorable circumstances, outside influence, and more luck. I wouldn't even advise trying.

Drix sumed it pretty well with his post above. In fact you shouldn't do favors for any girl, except if the girl did it before. Do not invite the girl to an expensive place unless you got a bang first. Do not offer to help her move, help her homework, etc. without having gotten something first.

In short, to avoid the friendzone, avoid acting like a friend.

Good, everything I was about to say has been posted here.
Recap:
1. Never let yourself suck into the friendzone (this is kind of easy). Don't listen to her problems, compliment her in a "flirting" way, use kino, etc.
2. If you are already there... repeat step one, do not act needy, stop contacting her but make sure she sees you with other girls, act confident etc.
3 There is a video in Youtube, I don't recall if it was Corey Wayne, about a total transformation. Is like stop contating her, get new cloting, and other stuff, like if you were in a "total makeover" episode, while she keep following you in Twitter or Facebook. Then you contact her after some months. But I don't know if you want to invest time and resources.

Best way out of the "friend zone": Once you've banged a half-dozen girls or so in a fairly short period of time, or are even seeing two girls concurrently that you're banging, the whole notion of just hanging around attractive women you're not in a sexual relationship with one-on-one as if they're your drinking buddy will seem completely bizarre and absurd.
