I'm seeing two repeating themes in this thread - guys who know what G is talking about and want to add or get input, and then guys who haven't experienced suiting up properly or don't think it would work because of their town.

As a guy who's lived in Chicago, Orlando, NYC, and Vegas, I can attest to the power of the suit. For the next few months, I'm posted up in a mid-sized college town in the midwest. So my going-out attire has changed.

When I was in the other cities HELL YES a nice suit makes a difference.

If I went to the dive bars here, suited up, it wouldn't help - not because I don't fit in, but because drunk college chicks/pre-professionals don't really care about that. They want fun and validation. I'd only risk getting Jager spilled on my shit. However, I still wear a jacket and leather "dress" shoes when I go to 20-30 something yuppie venues. College bars I have cool jeans, sneaks and t's/thermals.

There are a couple insights I can add as far as toning it down, while still dressing like a grown ass man and incorporating G's advice.

First, there's a difference between a WORK suit, and a SOCIAL suit, AT FIRST. When you are balling - let's say you're a power attorney with fashion sense, there is no line. You wear a fly suit to work, and you can keep it on for drinks after. But if you're a guy that wears a Jos A Banks to a regular 9 to 5, G is not talking about that suit. He's talking about something on a higher level. I think the challenge some guys may face is they've only seen the 9-5 suit and don't really know the difference.

Second, the real issue with a suit is the "seriousness of it." Suits are associated with serious working business for most people. You want to get away from that "working" element, that over-seriousness, but still look sharp.

Notice in all of G's picture examples, the guys are having FUN. They are playing. They are PLAYBOYS. The suit isn't serious, it's stylish, it's smooth, it's masculine.

If you're in a place that's casual - dive bars, working-stiff happy hours, etc - here are a few tips for toning it down

These are subtle ways to tone down the seriousness of a suit, while still standing head and shoulders above the crowd.

If you're going out to a regular US bar, throw on a jacket.

I go to J Crew for a lot of my casual gear, but I have a couple suits from there that I had tailored to fit perfect.

Now I chose those suits BECAUSE the jackets can also go with jeans. I highly recommend this store - they just got a new owner who is taking the store in a great direction, bringing on highly respected designers and using better quality fabrics from small, well-reputed businesses. For a total suit newbie (which I was until recently) their suit dept is a good place to begin learning about fit, style, material, and look good walking out.

Another way to tone it down is to simply take off the tie.

Another more subtle way to tone it down is to rock oxford style shoes instead of high end loafers. Oxfords are great with a suit or jeans, and they can be very high end, but they take some of that seriousness out of the equation.

A nice suit, minus tie, 2-3 buttons left open at the top, (maybe with a cool necklace), wearing stylish, subtle oxfords looks awesome.

One more way to "tone down" the suit is to wear a checkered patterned shirt. It makes it less serious and more fun.

Grey suits are also a little less serious than the typical black and blue. And of course if you can find a patterned suit, go for it, but I think with that you need to know what you're doing (I'm not on that level yet lol)

Fuck guys im sold!!

My style is seriously lacking (think jeans & hoodies) and i realize its hurting my results. I was gonna buy a nice going-out outfit but i think im gonna take it all the way and get a suit.
Fuck yeah! Im 26 and broke as shit but i can rock this.

I feel like a retard for not seeing this myself. Im very tall and slim i know i will look awesome in a fitting suit. Actually i remember working at the airport in customer services and we had to wear suits there. And coincidentally the hottest chick there was all over me it was ridiculous, comparing me to hollywood actors and shit. I always thought it was my tight game but it was propably more that one time in my life i was wearing nice clothes LOL.

Reading through this thread has definitely raised my awareness. I'm now in agreement that jacket and jeans is wack. I can't unsee the image of a 90's comedian lmao...That's changing. Either jeans and casual top, or full suit.

Also, I didn't pick up on tailored vs. CUSTOM. Fuck man...gotta start making more money lol!

G - where do you like to go in NYC? XS and Tryst were my spots about 2-4 nights a week. We were probably in the same room quite a few times.

I have noticed that too. I think I have checkmated a few of the haters in the past, and the haters have one common theme among them: they have never tried it themselves.

This is a great point, and maybe one I should have made more clear years ago. I thought it was common sense, but I guess it isn't.

You when you wear a suit, it has to look like you don't have to wear it to work, and you are wearing it by choice.

If you can do that, it is the single most powerful and versatile weapon in your wardrobe.

Yeah, the "Champagne Close" is timeless.

I probably have used that one to swoop more girls than Mystery and Neil Strauss (add any other 10 weesh "puas") combined.

I am mildly surprised that that close didn't go more viral.

As far as the "car move", sh*t I haven't used that one in a while.

Real effective. And I have some real good memories.

I have said it before and I will say it again, I have forgotten more dope Game moves than most cats will ever learn.

As a tall lanky guy, the confidence I get from wearing a suit is amazing. I'll wear a suit with no tie even to some dive bars and if anything it helps because every other schlub there is wearing jeans and a plaid button up. I actually prefer NOT to wear a suit if I'm going to a place where everyone is suited up like a douchey K-Street bar/lounge.

Slim/skinny suits are great if you have the body for it. I buy inexpensive slim/skinny suits online and I get compliments CONSTANTLY simply because they fit me perfectly right off the rack. This is a new development for me, and I have to say adding suits to my clothing options has helped immensely. Changes the whole power dynamic when you're on a date.

Cost my good friend from HS owns a cars service, i helped him out when he was started it so i get a good rate. Also addition the lounge(s) i mainly take woman to the drinks are free for me or private events where drinks are again free. so many times my only direct cost is the car service for pickup which i get a deep discount.

Also i think most woman think there rich models

Is this because you are involved or connected with the Entertainment / Media Industry? Or did you have to do your groundwork to setup the circle. I used to have such a thing twice before, where being part of a circuit got these invites easy.

Power Networking, ground work. I dont work in media / entertainment .

The key people to know is professional 5pm-9pm ers as i like to call them.
Those people are

Event photographers
THEY ARE KINGS, when ever someone talks about they know some club promoter in X city i stop
Call the top 10 event photographers in your city and take them to lunch tell them your looking to increase your network and want to meet more people. Some may not need to meet you and send you an invite then and there. these guys are broke and dont make much money and would love a free lunch in exchange to send you a few invites that cost them nothing. One good event photographer is worth 100 club promoter in my eyes.

Event planers ones who get real work
Event pr specialist
Event producers
5-9 private party whores.
This use to be me, on a bad night i had about 10 private events to go to.

Those are the real basic for a real social network.

Also when i vist a new city i setup lunches with most of the people listed above.

There is a very very good book called "never eat alone" i recommend reading and doing what the book says if any one is serious about learning how to build a power network in general.

I always hire a car when iam overseas also i dont really travel to low cost nations so the car cost is the same if not more.

Another way i use black cars I Dont do this as often as i use to is
Black Car+Champagne+Photograph+NYC tour Date.

Real basic... I hire a car bring bottle of Champagne or two with my Nikon D 3000. Then we drive around for 2-3 hours at night taking pictures of things in the city and her. Conveniently end the date by saying I am just a few blocks from here, lets go back to my place and upload and edit these pic.

In some developing nations, drivers are easy and affordable for westerners to hire (ex: Jamaica, Phillippines) even if they aren't wealthy.
If you could work the logistics out (some contacts on the ground would make this easier), it'd be feasible to buy a car that's considered "nice" in that part of the world (ex: Honda Accord/Toyota Camry or even a van in the Phillippines, Toyota Crown/Land Cruiser or Nissan Patrol in Jamaica, etc.) and just do the same thing you'd do here. The main difference is that the driver would be on your payroll.

The possibilities with this one are endless-you're basically just "selling her the dream", and giving yourself so many ways to do it.

-The use of the car itself is already a DHV-how many girls these days get picked up in black cars on first dates? You're displaying a lifestlye that's obviously going to appeal to her.

-The fact that you can take the car anywhere in the city keeps the date interesting, since you can keep spotting and commenting on new things. You could even do some light venue hopping this way (stop off at a nice lounge for a bit, then hop back in the car and do more sight seeing).
You're bound to stand out in an age when most girls are used to bars, the movies or dinner for dates.

-Getting her involved by having her take pictures or taking pictures of her keeps her interested (in the age of social networking, picture taking is obviously big for girls) and DHVs you (you have a nice camera and can show your photographic experience).

-You've got champagne to loosen the mood, and you could probably add a little music too.

Put all of this together and just add a little game + some decent clothes (as described in this thread), and I don't see how you can lose.

From being on this forum as a member a couple of months you can see the legitimacy in his posts because even though he is a well traveled playboy with status you can still see the eagerness of him to still learn more and explore other avenues if life. Robots or frauds don't do that lol.

But the power of the suit and playboy lifestyle can't be ignored. I really think it is every man's duty to aspire to this level. When a man shapes all aspects of his "story" he can add and dismiss characters, plots, and events as he so wishes. All pieces of the puzzle that men go to to become a man, they reach a final point when the man is his own entity, almost like a corporation to where he becomes a Man (the capital is huge).

All the points you listed is dead on as to why it works.

I cant even take credit for the idea, my father who is a photographer in Jamaica thats his move from the 70s. My mother told me thats how he got her his photo-dates every friday. I just added the black car thing to it.

Also I once did a tour of some of the small chocolate shops in NYC. I dont recommend it to much traffic between shops and many close early. I found the photo-date to work the best you can go anywhere any time.

Without going into too much detail, you have two options:

1. Get some connections (The G Manifesto Way)
2. Make more money (Also The G Manifesto Way)

Keep in mind, this move isn't for every girl.
