Harrison Ford almost did not want to do Star Wars, because he thought it would be stupid. Then as it hit the success jackpot he knew that he could do roles he really liked. He only became a superstar after Indiana Jones. So had further plans ahead.

In contrast Carrie Fischer came from a well-off Hollywood family who got the role via 80% connections and 20% fucking. She said previously in some interview that she fucked a lot of men back then and was on drugs most of the time. She certainly fucked any producer who hit on her as well. Also like many women - when they are young and slim, they are attractive even if they are not really beautiful. That is why we always repeat to girls to stay slim and marry young, because even a slim 5 will get a quality man when she is 18-20. Doing it at 28 already destroys a great part of her beauty.

Besides - many Hollywood actors fuck the other cast and girls on set. In the first Star Wars and beyond the diversity police did not squeeze many young hot girls into Stormtroopoer uniforms, so Harrisson Ford's pickings were slim. He more or less had to fuck Carrie Fischer due to lack of choices.

Now as women are all superstars he can plow his way through the rebellion soldierettes in the fuck-friendly Disney movies.

There might well have been a decent amount of the actor in the character there too. Apparently it was Ford who ad-libbed the "I know" line in the Empire Strikes Back. The (awful) line in the script was "I love you too." Some game awareness there from the actor.
