Can't see how this is a murder charge.

OP alluded to some aspie-ness or something, and it seems most apparent in this comment of his. Stupid thing to say, and strange. It's like something you would say while play acting with your girl.

If attacked, restrain her, defend yourself as needed etc- but if the girl says I want to leave and you say "no you aren't going anywhere" you're now on some shaky ground.

Reading the transcript from Balcony Brah's phone recording is cringe inducing. They both sound absolutely retarded and crazy. Tostee showed very, very bad judgement in not kicking out this girl way before it escalated. Such quotes as GlobalMan has above. His reactions would certainly not match mine. The first time she gets violent, certainly the second time, she would be outside my door. Tostee instead begins arguing, being sort of threathening, trying to win the argument, when he should just get rid of her.

The girl is batshit crazy if you read the recordings, so that should factor in to it for the jury. Overall just very poor judgement by all involved, but let's not act like Mr. Tostee doesn't seem shady.

If he really locked her on the balcony and then went for pizza, in addition to telling her "no because you've been a bad girl" when she asked to go home, then I would be surprised if the dude didn't get any criminal charges. The reason I sympathize with this guy is because the general public will not give him a fair shake. Most men have not been with 100 plus women, I have, so I know how they are.
