The synchronized swimming team who took out Gold (and have repeatedly taken out gold over the past several games) was quite a sight. Ukraine were fourth - not quite as polished as the Russians but the first time they fielded a team at the games - so they've done really well considering.

Sure. IMO Ukraine did a good Olympics considering all the odds. No need for negging them. In general a very successful event for all EE countries.

Russia was 4th in the ranking of medals (because many athletes didn't compete at all because of doping allegations, otherwise they would be 3rd or even 2nd place).

What sort of jobs/careers are you doing there?
Where are you staying? Are you planning on moving thro various locations or are you settled in one place?
Are you planning on staying there long term/permanently?
Do you "live like a native" or are you partly(or wholly!) with an ex pat community? How much of the time are you speaking Russian? Whats your overall objective? eg lots of notches or LTR/picking a mrs etc?

I'm moving to Yekaterinburg in Novemeber to teach English for 6 months. I plan on waging war on every tinder / dating app I possibly can, as well as the surrounding towns like Chelyabinsk.

Does the night life die off during winter? Or will I still find plenty of tail at the bars even when it's below 0?

Well after 3.5 months out of Russia and talking to my girlfriend almost every day on the phone, she let me know that she will not come see me in the USA. It is a bit of a heartbreak for me because I will in no way get close to finding a girl like that again. She is actually really serious about me, but just cant imagine living in the USA. I officially swung and missed on my year of wife hunting. That being said, I will be back in Moscow next month to say goodbye to that 20 YO hottie and drink a beer with @_Cicero for 10 days in late November. I'll be doing some heavy recruiting in the next 6 weeks to pipeline the strike mission but priority of fire will be directed to friends.

And this is the great peril of overseas wife hunting... family girls will always be family girls. As great as they are, they aren't likely to leave what you see in them as so wonderful... a close love for family.

Can someone post the star trek guy since I suck at posting photos? These attacks are getting ridiculous. And yes, I can have basic conversations in Russian.
