The key is to actually look like you're having the most fun. People want to hang out with fun people.

When I travel I usually have a bottle of rum under my bed. Because why not.

I was in a hostel in Colombia with 7 other travelers I didn't know and had never spoken to. I awoke at around 7 AM, felt like complete shit from the night before, and grabbed my bottle of rum. I was sitting on the edge of my bed trying to force down this pungent cheap rum and making scowl faces with every shot I drank. Across the room, an Aussie chick was grinning and she said, "You look like you're ready to have a great day. Rum at 7 AM? You should hang with me. Let's get a jeep together into the valley" And we ended up have a blast together for a few days. I had never seen her before, but she apparently appreciated a man that drank hard liquor on the edge of his bed at 7 am.

Sometimes just being a drunken idiot works out ok. The girls that don't appreciate it, well, they suck anyhow.

We need international version of this Opener! Please everyone contribute!

I've not used the French version as much to give a proper feedback, but I can't imagine it going wrong.

Plural: "C'est vous qui vous amuser le plus ici, il me semble"
Single: "C'est toi qui t'amuse le plus ici, il me semble"

I've used this opener in 20+ countries to decent success. To be honest I doubt half even understood what I was actually saying however. Witty openers are overrated

It's a great opener or "ice-breaker" and even works great outside of "pickup"- for instance on groups of guys at career networking events.

That was my suspicion. Might work in the Anglosphere the way it was intended, but it's basically a two way social observation..with a slight cold read. But outside of our culture, it's not going to mean anything. So translating it into Tagalog or Czech doesn't make sense.
