I'm thinking about staying in Cordoba for 3 or 4 months. I'm not sure what to expect price wise. I'm hoping you guys can help.

How much would a 3 bedroom rent for?
How much will dining out cost (not too fancy, not too cheap)?
How much are some of the common groceries to cook at home?
What are some of your additional expenses that shouldn't be overlooked?
How much is a bottle of vodka at the store?
Anyone use a maid service?

How much are dance lessons?

All prices quoted below are in USD at the current exchange rate of 3.9pesos=1USD

1. Most apartments are not good for 3-4 month stays. The standard is a 2yr lease in an unfurnished apt. For a nice temporary furnished 3br in Nueva Cordoba expect $1200USD per month.

2. Dining out will set you back $10 per person, more if you get wine. Tipping is not customary.

3. I cook a lot, and my typical meal is a lean cut of steak with veggies, tomatoes and wine. A huge cut of steak will cost about $3USD, and a bottle of wine about $3USD for the basic stuff.

4. If you land in BsAs, you will have to pay around $150USD fee for your visa. If you decide not to get a temporary apt, it will be much cheaper (around $400/m for 3br) but there are lots of hidden expenses (building expenses, utilities, taxes, broker fees, lease breaking fees). Overall, everything is cheap here and they don't rip off foreigners at all.

5. Cheap vodka is about $3USD per bottle. They dont have premium stuff like Grey Goose so you'll have to bring that if you dont like hangovers. The best that I've seen is Finlandia and Absolut.

6. We have hired a regular maid. $8USD and she completely cleans our entire apt as well as makes us fresh squeezed orange juice. She is usually here about 2-3hrs.

7. Dance lessons at my studio are $15USD for 12 classes. They teach Reggaton, Salsa, and some others. Whatever you like.

Thanks gringoed. These are just the numbers I needed. I guess I'll be cooking at home a lot. How would I go about finding a pre-furnished temp. apartment ?

What's the internet connectivity like there? What's the best possible internet setup I can get and the price for that?

How much is a gym membership?

All of their temporary apartments have great internet connectivity. They do daily/weekly/monthly rates. Try to do at least 1 month.

Gym membership is about US$33-45. Beware the gyms here suck compared to what you're used to in the US. Better alternative is to run in the park, take dance classes, do push-ups, hardcore sex, etc.

Taxis are pretty cheap. About US$1.50 for a 5min ride. Getting from the airport to Nueva Cordoba is about US$12, which was about 30mins. Unlike Medellin, you dont need taxis very often here.

All the broadband here is cable. We are getting pretty decent downloads speeds, like 400kb

At the hot boliches, expect around $5 cover with $4 drinks.

Roosh knows a good resource for renting just rooms that are fairly inexpensive, I think he found his Medellin digs on the site but I can't recall it. Search his posts.

Those figures are accurate.

For the [really] budget minded, drink at the bars instead of clubs, or better yet: pre-drink, or dont drink. Then avoid clubs with covers. Also street game right outside the clubs, or at public squares at night.\

$10 of drinks/cover per night can mean the difference of sharing a room at a hostel ($10-12 a night) and renting your own furnished apartment (as low as $24 a night, based on a 1 month stay. Shorter stays are more expensive)
