House was born here(it's close call between Germany and France).
Danced based DnB was popularized here.
Trance got popular here around the same time it was going hard in France and Belgium after it blew up in The Netherlands.

Based on my limited observations, there is something to it. (East) Berlin is very raw and gritty. Its not a clean at all. Lots of graffiti, trash, and rubble everywhere. I think Berlin is like Brooklyn if Brooklyn was half the cost of living, got rid of 90% of its black people, and the hipsters decided to live in the bombed out neighborhoods that black people left behind.
That looks like Brooklyn hipster fashion, though nobody in the states would culturally appropriate Dia de los Muertos/sugar skulls...Lol. Who am I kidding!
1) So refugees can't afford to look like that and blend in?
2) that video had little to no female talent. Clearly a feminist director!
I'd fit in easily. But I'm still interested in the non ethnic Germans. Integrated 2nd generation Persians and Turks. And if there are any sistas...

Why did you guys go to Berlin expecting something besides alternative women? I am heavy into alternative types, they are my preference, so is the cultural that comes with it: clothing, music, personalities etc. So I knew going to Berlin i'd fit in and I did my research beforehand. I meshed well at house parties, night clubs, daytime meetups because these people were a reflection of my own personality.
It's like going to latin america and complaining about the women wearing high heels, dancing salsa and being emotional.

But there are hipsters in Mexico City, Goths too. Lot of heavy metal/American Rock is popular all over South America. Chicks I'm trying to bang in DR aren't doing Salsa, they're all on that Reggaeton.
Berlin is a legit fashion capital, along with London, Paris, Milan.
I expect Berlin to have
- rednecks and working class folks like America
- immigrants that have their own shit going
- blue bloods like America
- college kids
- cosmopolitans and yuppies
- hip hop fans
Last German I messed with knew a whole lot about cowboys and Indians. Threw me for a loop, but apparently there's German interest in that stuff.
It's like going to Japan and meeting a Japanese girl with an Afro
You don't expect it, but it happens.
Now the fact that you will get turned away for dressing too well - that's interesting.
Because that doesn't happen anywhere else in the world because Asia, Africa, America, Latin America - worship expressions of wealth. That's the baseline, Germany is the outlier on that. And I have a feeling that some of them thirsty immigrants who aren't dressed up will get turned away as well. So it's not dressing down, it's dressing RIGHT.
Germans are smart enough to say that even if you have money, it doesn't make you cool.
And to me, that's actually dope.
I wish some of the spots I go to would actually turn away these Transplant Assholes and their "too cool for school" chicks.

The best analogy I could think of is how would one feel wearing a blazer with a pocket square and expensive shirt, slacks and boots to hippie festival in a park. I dont know about you but I would feel out of place. Here is another example. The Airbnb I stayed at did not have a iron. I called the host and asked her where the iron was. Her response was "You dont need and Iron this is Berlin!" I am not kidding she was not trying to funny she was serious! FYI she is in her early twenties and a solid 7. Most of the clubs I went to everyone was really dressed down. I am talking no name plain t shirt, no name jeans and no name sneakers. With the exception of a few people I saw and when I went to Bricks. I was the only one wearing brand name stuff. Even when I went to Bricks which is an upscale club and I decided to wear a blazer. I felt waaaaay overdressed. Dont get me wrong people were dressed a lot nicer, just not as nice as I was expecting.
Berliner are weird in the sense they all like to dress poor per se but very eclectic\eccentric. The thing I like the most is that the girls were down to earth. They did not seem to sweat money anywhere near as much as girls in the states. Even the insanely hot ones! I got the impression to get a 7 or even a 8 you really did not have to have much going on financially. As long as you had your own place and can pay your bills and had some money to hang out on the weekends you would be good.

I think you hit the nail on the head with the description.
For those reasons I recommend brothers to go to BERLIN when they say they want to come to Germany. You get a little bit of everything and then you can decide if you want to try a more German city.
In my opinion that foreign influence + alternative way of thinking = profit for us.
Other cities are are NOT like that!
So in a turn of events I managed to land a German 8 - Yes the exact ones I was bitching about not getting in my earlier post. I couldn't believe it myself. She stared me down in the nightclub and with some game I managed to pass all the shit tests and even get over two instances of LMR.
Girls almost NEVER stare me down like that in a club or bar so I knew something funny had to be going on...
Upon future investigation a myriad of things came together for this anomaly to happen: (keep in my im mid 30s)
-Shes is a freshman in College
-Shes 20 years old
-Shes been in the city for 6 weeks
-She comes from a small village
-Her English is fluent as fuck and she even knows expressions.
and the biggest one
-SHE SPENT 1 YEAR in high school in America. Alabama to be exact.
These kinds of girls here are GOLD. I have had similar experiences with Ex-Aupairs here as well... When they have long term experience in America they are just so much more open to brothers. I asked her if she had dated a brother before and sure enough she said yes.
The average German girl or average 8 won't have these experiences, skills and influences which makes attracting them difficult. The constant German influence makes it difficult. Thus leading back to my original point that Berlin is going to be the best for us.

I'm fully aware of and normally advocate the conventional wisdom of inviting chicks to financially neutral joints to avoid expectations, but since I invited her and she was new in town I didn't mind springing for brunch at all.
Long story short, chick didn't say thank you, which though seemingly petty, is essentially a deal breaker for me.
Even if had we done something financially neutral, it would've took longer to discover her ungratefulness, so I see it as a investment in saving my time.
Anyone else can't tolerate chicks who don't offer to pay or express gratitude?

I've had a similar experience. I usually go for the we're splitting this meal unless i've previously fucked or I know the chick is legitimately poor and I invited her out to a place outside her means. That's why always on the first real date it's either starbucks or sushi. If a bitch can't afford a $8 meal then there are bigger problems at play here.

Do you find that splitting the bill at the outset has a negative effect on whether you smash or not?

Just came from a cheap date last night, she paid. I don't find it does, except with sistas. Even then, I run standard asshole game anyway so it's kind of expected at that point. I don't believe in the just "fuck it and pay." If she likes the game she likes the game, paying for her own meal won't turn her into "was going to ride him, but now I'll block him."

I've recently come to think of this as "true" lifestyle game.
If you were a musician, you could invite the chick to come jam with you.
If you were on a bowling team...
If you were into cooking...
This is definitely critical for LTR evaluation purposes, does she fit into your life? Can she assist or is she a burden?
