No, it's legit, all over the news.

FBI has 5 suspects in custody, questioning them now. According to multiple reports, suspects were wearing Arab/Muslim garb.

FBI initiated the stop on Belt parkway and called for NYPD backup before making the arrests. They had been tracking the vehicle.

A hazmat team has also been requested to the scene.

I just happened to be chatting on FB with a Colombian buddy of mine who lives in Elizabeth, NJ (I met him in Medellin) on Saturday and the news of a bomb in Seaside came up on my TV and I mentioned it to him, he said "its probably nothing", shit like that happens all of the time. Now he's blowing up his FB with posts about the story, he used to eat at the fried chicken restaurant that this Afghan terrorist guy and his family run in Elizabeth. My buddy used to post a lot of anti-Trump shit on his FB, especially about his immigration plans but I said to him that these attacks probably will get Trump elected and he agrees, adding that "we gotta stop taking in these terrorist scum bags man!"
