Leave them alone, rehabilitate them, or jail them, but enough of the blood bath. I hope this trash heap Duterte gets impeached. I am leaving now anyways, but will be glad to see him gone when I return!

Interesting that women and men have different chess rankings. I guess it is because women's lesser body strength makes it tough to lift the chess pieces, it would be unfair to have the same standards for Grand Master.

Duterte is scary. His recent anti-American outbursts... not good. At least it made me consider if moving back to China for the time being would be a smart move. I dunno. We'll see.

It's hard to say. I think he's going to cut a deal with the Chinese ceding sovereignty over the disputed shoals in return for some fishing rights and a share of the mineral rights. That's fine with me - I don't want WWIII over some Filipino shoals.

The way he runs his mouth is going to have an effect on US/Filipino relations. Foreign policy is not just shaped at the top, at the presidential and cabinet levels. The minions in the Manila embassy, at Pacific Command, in Washington have a lot of discretion to open up aid and military assistance programs. For example, a consular officer's discretion to grant or deny visas is almost absolute. Desk officers at the Pentagon and Main State and AID design programs, or not. Then the money is spent by program managers. They don't have to spend it all.

After enough of shit like Duterte's, a "fuck 'em" attitude creeps into a U.S. mission. And they do fuck them. I am not even talking about what Other Government Agencies can do.

I think once Trump is (hopefully) elected, Duterte will, say, shift down a gear, and get along well with the new, respect-inducing US leader.

Matter of fact, I don't see many world leaders willing to disrespect president Trump. Like, none, actually. For example, I expect Merkel in tears but crawling at the Emperor's feet, begging him "entschuldigung" and renouncing communism.

Here's something from just last night.

Last night, I was bored and went driving around with a girl. Wound up in Tagaytay, went into the mountainside Starbucks there at 1am. It's kind of a hopping place on the weekends as it's open until 3am, and also a rich kid hangout since it's a bit isolated, you have to drive there at night, no jeepney/trike.

Anyway, I've been to that Starbucks many times in the past year, and over time I've noticed more and more people there, more cars. But last night was just insane. The parking lot was over capacity, every car brand new and costing 1 million pesos or more, every area inside filled with early 20s or younger Filipinos, ordering 2000+ pesos worth of coffee/food. I guess this description doesn't do it justice: this is a very big Starbucks, two stories, with two large outdoor seating areas. And people were standing around for a seat at 1 am, spending significant amounts of money (for what is supposed to be a poor country). Most of the guys were sub-5, most of the girls 7+.

My point: along with increased nationalism and an influx of broke/seedy foreigners, the rise of Eduardo Betabucks is only worsening the situation.

Yes, I got that one too. I actually gave him some quick advice which I don't mind doing. I also get a few requests to meetup from members with 0 posts, 0 likes, 0 contribution in any kind of way. I really do enjoy meeting fellow members and these might be good guys but I'm not going to meetup with anyone who hasn't tried to be a part of the forum in a meaningful way. Too much risk, so my suggestion to the newcomers is to start participating.

THAT'S what they really hate, and they think that drugs are the cause of robberies, the addicts resort to robbery; or maybe disinhibited guys on speed rob on impulse.

When your phone gets robbed by some scumbag with a knife and it will take three month's disposable pay to replace, you don't care too much if the cops kill the assholes that did it. Most girls I know have been victims of armed robbery, all from theft of some kind.

In my experience, I have been holding hands with her in public and may be getting more hostile stares from guys, mostly older guys, not jacked at all. I'm not very big, but I usually outweigh them by 60 pounds or more and have been staring right back with a FU attitude.

I think men who feel weak, like understandably many men here do due to economics, put their hope for a guy like fearless leader to stand up for their interests, and like in other times when dictat0rsh1ps take over, they start to express their hostility more openly. I feel like in someplace like Davao, people are used to foreigners enough and benefit enough so they are not going to condone witchhunts.

I'm not sure one has to get out now but it might be a good idea to not flaunt your hot girl everywhere. I'm out of the country right now, but will be planning my eventual exit based on the grinding fatigue of dealing with pollution and traffic, not race hate. I try to plan to drive less.
