The key question is why the spike in violence now? Ask any "expert" to explain the cause of violent crime and you'll get a range of responses from systemic problems of poverty, unemployment, lack of education of inner city youth, breakdown of the family unit, etc. The problem is that none of those things explain the sudden changes in violence we're currently witnessing in the Midwest.

Thomas Abt, senior research fellow with the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, believes the issue is more likely what other political commentators have dubbed "the Ferguson Effect." Writing for The Marshall Project, Abt discussed what he thought might be causing the sudden spike in violent crimes in the Midwest:

It is unclear what is driving the problem, but my own hunch – and it is still just a hunch at this point – involves a criminological phenomenon called legal cynicism. Multiple studies have demonstrated that, controlling for other factors, when communities view the police and criminal justice system as illegitimate, they become more violent. When people believe the system is unwilling or unable to help them, they are more likely to take the law into their own hands, creating the cycles of violent retribution that were chronicled so vividly last year in Jill Leovy’s Ghettoside.


We have to ask, would comments like these by Obama cause people to "view the criminal justice system as illegitimate"?

Very nice, articulate writing. If you ever worked in the prison system you'd know the morons who run out and burn stuff are, like the great majority of criminals, dumber than a box of rocks. The intentionality you mention is a bit beyond their concrete, reactive minds. The outstanding, noticeable characteristic of violent criminals besides violent tempers is low IQ. I am a published researcher on this subject and someone who's worked in prisons for many years, and know exactly what I am talking about from both academic study and personal first-hand experience.

In California they've attempted for a while to corral it with long prison sentences giving rise to some outrage, and it has been to some degree successful. Just put a ton of stupids in prison, early, and keep them there a long time. Expensive but humane and effective. Earlier intervention could be more cost-effective but is politically incorrect ("He's just a kid!"). It also requires front-end investment the masses don't want to do.

In Sacramento, the state capitol for instance, I lived for years up to about five years ago and thugs were escorted off to the Central Valley gulags early enough in their roach-cycle that you could generally roam the downtown without harassment.

That's interesting, but not a full refutation of what I said. I agree there are massively idiotic Cro-Magnons that plague our streets and they're the biggest threat for the average pedestrian. Still, when this flock of barbarian hordes partake in group activity, it's only possible under a semi-intelligent personality with harmful intentions. I don't think your first hand encounters are the same as mine. I don't down play what you've seen to verify your ideas, but what I draw from is knowing savage and loathingly stupid dregs in their native habitat. These people are indeed impressively stupid, but every now and then one of their own with slightly higher IQ comes to lead the idle tribe into a grand criminal scheme resulting in a syndicate. Other times genuinely intelligent people cover for the criminals because their serve short term purposes for them. Why else do massive cover ups happen? People with power and intelligence rig the system for some unforeseen gain.


Another topic in itself, I do in fact know of reasonably intelligent, but otherwise unremarkable, people that support ideals counter to the American philosophy in itself for various reasons. Some of these people are college graduate "counter culture" activists. I knew these people first hand, so I can vouch for their intelligence not being bottom of the barrel. Most had no criminal record, but hate "the man" or crakkkas or systemic racism, yet privately supported to idea of overthrowing the government, mass killings of anyone with wealth and similar ideas. This is where I first because exposed to the "white people need to die off" concept also.

Here's an example drawing my two points together;
Deray McKesson. Yes, he's supported by bigtime conspirators, but he's still the public face of anarchy. He's still incredibly dull, unread and unremarkable. Yet look who funds him, legitimizes him, praises him and keeps him relevant. Who are these people? Low IQ can't excuse their behavior. The same goes for communist revolutionaries in US streets.

The scary thing about all this isn't the rioting itself; there will always be idiots in society doing horrible things; it's that in this particular case, the idiots have unwavering support from the nation's mainstream intellectuals. In general, well-educated Americans actively suspend all critical thinking ability when it comes to race issues, as even low-level critical thinking leads to conclusions that may be deemed 'racist' and get them in trouble among their peers. It's a case of history repeating itself, just like in the McCarthy era when people would vastly overcompensate to avoid looking like a 'communist,' or in the 1690's when people were horrified of being a suspected 'witch.' Social ostracization is an extremely powerful motivator.

If right-wing white nationalists all over the country began protesting, burning property, looting stores, throwing bricks at people, threatening blacks, committing murders, and attempting to bully the justice system into submission whenever a white person was killed by a black person, intellectuals would suddenly see how horrific, irrational, counter-productive, and... racist such behavior is. The white nationalists would be public enemy #1, ahead of ISIS. CNN commentators would prattle on about how they're an existential threat to the country and need to be wiped out.

But back to reality. Black 'racial justice' activists are engaging in such behavior, so instead, CNN is blatantly lying to cover up the protesters' calls for violence. People's minds are so paralyzed by the need not to appear 'racist' that many, particularly the highly educated, refuse to see anything wrong with BLM's behavior. And nothing will be done to stop it.

This Trump event actually went very well. They did have about 50-75 protestors show up and when Trump's motorcade arrived, they started to yell and screw their nonsense. They were initially kept across the street by the south end of city hall. After the arrival, they disbanded and there were only about 10-15 left. This event did attract way more Trump supporters than the last one which was held at the Pabst about 3-4 months ago. It was a very good crowd and the supporters were out in force. The only big issue at this event was that many of the supporters that arrived shortly before 5:00pm were not allowed in to the Pabst, despite having tickets in hand.

I was told that this was due to security concerns. The secret service was very involved with this event and there were some concerns due to the riots that took place in the Sherman Park area of the city. The Pabst theater is a small venue and I believe only has a capacity of about 1200-1400 seats. I got to see many of the supporters and I have to say that I got a good feeling about Trump chances of winning. The Pabst filled up quickly.

Never happen you say? Google Virginia's Racial Integrity Act of 1924 and sterilization act. It did something similar to what you are talking about up until 1979.

In the "White People don't give us money" video he said something that I must have glossed over in many other similar videos.

"I got home and somebody said there was a shooting on Sherman St. and Ayer. So me and my mom decided to drive over and see whats up" (paraphrasing)

In Boston, there was a shooting at my doorstep. When I got home, the whole street was taped off. But at not point and time did I feel the need to walk up and down investigating the whole thing.

^I know forced sterilization happened in different countries as well as US states at some point. I'm not talking about forced sterilization of people selected by race or any other criteria.

The idea is to be able to choose between getting sterilized if you need handouts (welfare or cash incentives) and pro-creating if you can afford it and choose to take responsibility for it. This idea is based on free will and very different from what used to happen, but like I said, liberals would be shitting bricks regardless, so it's not going to happen now or in the future.
