This has turned into the brothers business thread and for a minute.. I like it!
Iso 路 2016-08-04 22:12:00 路 #2902
Question for the brothers here. I'm wondering if this is a DC only phenomenon or its like this everywhere.

Any time I go out in the DC area to a bar that is not explicitly black, I almost never see black women at the bars. I could be at the whitest bar and there will be 10-15 black men there but never any black women. I'd say the ratio of black men to black women at bars that are 75%+ white is around 10-1. I can't explain that gap other than hypothesizing that black men are cool hitting on white women, but black women don't want to be hit on by white men. I noticed this in Europe to but I assumed that only African men migrated to Europe, not African women which would explain the disparity.

Black women are much less open to dating people of other races than black men, typically speaking. Perhaps women in general though are less open to interracial relationships than men are - the more i think about it.

I guess the obvious question with importing is the taxes and customs?

I know Canada is very tight with that nonsense, they want to "protect" their local industry.

@ISO / Heart Break Kid - can we take a break from the black girl stuff!

This stuff is getting old, I am sure we have gone over this a few times.

Show me another group of women that can match these girls, without the plastic surgery of course.

I wanna talk business and making money, that has always been an area that some of us fall short in.

Well, I'm not stopping anyone here from talking about stocks. There's an entire thread dedicated to it if you're looking for more info.

I never said black women were not attractive though, I like black women.

Black women(especially attractive ones) don't go to bars. They go to lounges with expensive drinks.

Taxes are meh... customs duties on the China side are the problem. 30-60% depending upon what it is. That is what sucks because if you were to flip it from China -> the US, it would be much, much less. Hence Trump and others advocating new trade deals with China or "Getting tough on China".

I don't know about Canada much. I know you guys tend to have more trade restrictions than the US does in certain things. I recommend getting very familiar with all the various taxes and duties restrictions so that you can recall it in a pinch, just incase you come across something potentially lucrative.

Black women(especially attractive ones) don't go to bars. They go to lounges with expensive drinks.

More specifically lounges that usually have separate sections for rap/jazz-downtempo/RnB/poetry or just an area with a DJ playing all forms of "black people" music. Lounges with patios are a usually a plus. At least in Houston it is (especially in the Fall/Spring season). The typical age group is ~25+ if I have to guesstimate.

But yeah, Kish is 100% correct. They wouldn't be caught dead in a bar with Top40 Pop or soft country music being played throughout. If anything your alternative-black chicks are more likely to be found in spots like that, and those are usually not hot and sometimes even gay. Also he is right about drink prices. Lounges in my experience never have the happy hour drink specials a bar has dollar for dollar. Beer will still be ~4 bucks at best. Sometimes a bucket can be bought for a decent deal but I think I can count on one hand how many times I have seen one good enough to bother with. Besides when hunting black women at a lounge, a bucket of beers doesn't look good optics wise, if you are not in a decent sized group.

We don't tolerate people talking badly about black women.

Start another thread if you want to whine and complain.

Enjoy! I went to Bogota a few years ago and had a good time. Its cheap and the girls are very good looking. I hope I can find some time to return in the near future.

I've got trips in October/November. Florida, Australia/Fiji and hopefully I can squeeze in Kingston before colleges get out in mid December.

I was going to visit Thailand again in October, but after 6 months the guy I was subletting under just blindsided me this week and told me he's not feeling our vibe. Gotta find a new place by the end of the month.

Don't feel comfortable setting travel plans until I find a solid place first. Glad I didn't buy a ticket yet.

This is been a phenomenon as far as I can remember... even when I first started going to clubs/bars.... There's always more brothers at these places. This is one of the many reasons I have had trouble connecting all these years.

That's a long post, but for the most part -

- Middle, upper class, college educated black people stick to their own. Especially the women. Survival instincts.

- Working class black people stick to their own. They don't really mix with anyone else.

- Working class white people do not exist in DC. They party in Virginia or Maryland in their own enclaves.

- Middle/upper class educated white people are the basic focus of this town that used to be majority black. So there are a lot of subtle things like 1) door policy, 2) not having "black" drinks like Hennessey, 3) No hip hop music.

- Asians - Indians and East Asians, Middle Easterners - if they're here and going out - they tend to be college educated and at least middle class - they tend to flock wherever the white people are, and the middle class and lower class black people are not. Until there's a debate, they're basically interchangeable with the white people in terms of experiences and expectations.

- Latinos/Latinas - are in Maryland, but the middle class/educated/professional ones have their own little scene that's really on a spot by spot basis. I can't even begin to tell you how that meshes with the foreign nationals. Language/Music/Culture are more so than color is the big draw/barrier. Plus the local Latinos are from El Salvador, a few from Mexico - they aren't partying in the City. But the transplants Latinos are from everywhere, and they find their niches.

If you see a mixed group of people partying - chances are high that
- they are in school
- not from here, or
- work together.

When you do see a sister at Bar Pilar or something,
- she's older
- she's with her white friends
- she's only into white guys
- she's not that attractive
- she's mixed and identifies more with the white side
- she doesn't relate to mainstream black people (which is fine, I guess) - but she assumes that every black guy trying to talk to her is in that mainstream of blackness (which is not fine)
- she's African. (The Ethiopian chicks are NEVER at anything other than Ethiopian events)

Occasionally, if the event has enough broad appeal - presidential debate watch party, you'll see mainstream black women - but even then, she's more likely to go where there are other black people.

Unlike NY or ATL, the DC blackness is tightly defined.

Great post WIA. This insight right here makes a past experience I had make so much sense. I was in a bar in VA and an Asian friend of mine ordered Hennessy. The bartender said that they didn't have Hennessy. At the time, I didn't think much about it. But now, it all makes sense.

I've witnessed bars play "white" music so that they don't attract a black crowd. Typically it doesn't work that well. I've seen black guys on the dance floor dancing to top 40 pop hits and even rock music. The only DC bar I've been to that had no black men played Backstreet boys and Spice Girls.

A guy I follow on Youtube just dropped a video about Africans and African Americans in Europe.

This is what I have been trying to tell you guys about. Its not as bad in Germany but like I have been saying.. This is one thing that makes it a slight uphill climb for African American guys here. When you walk into a spot or even try to get into a spot for that matter they will confuse you for an African.

This is one of the many tactics clubs use to dissuade blacks from coming to the club.

Don't forget the tight door policy.... No baggy pants, no hats, no hoodies, no sneakers, no boots. Lots of clothes typical blacks wear. Years ago I saw brothers get turned away from the door because their pants were too baggy.

It never crossed my mind while I was living in Germany if someone would mistake me for an african vs African American. My bank account is pretty solid and my style spoke for itself. I will say that I tried to reach out to some of the younger african guys around my age and noticed over time it did appear that they harbored some jealousy and resentment towards me. Especially in terms of interacting with women. I think I was more saddened than anything to see that 99.9% of the outside drug dealers all over berlin were African guys.

Meh. It's no different than some of the black owned clubs down here in the south that don't allow hats, jerseys, white tees, baggy pants etc. I'm all for fighting the good fight, but sometimes things need to be called like how they are. It's not the brothers in 3 piece suit or a polo and khaki's starting shit and fucking things up. Night clubs live off reputation alone and if your club gets shot up or gets the reputation of unsafe or unfun then you, the owner, loses. Now once they start rejecting carlton Banks or GQ looking brothers then you can say it's something more.

Sometimes it's the white boys in the three piece suit and gq'd up because someone talked to their girl.
Or because they didn't get any pussy that night. It goes both ways. I've been to plenty of all black clubs where everything was all good. And also been to plenty of mixed clubs where the white guys were out of hand.

@Kirdiesel - that YouTube guy looks African to me, only when he opens his mouth do you hear his Yankee accent. He admits he has solid African friends but wants to classify all Africans (Nigerians) as scammers.
I have never been to Poland, I have been to Eastern Europe.
This dude is saying Poland is such a lovely place and the people get mad when Africans want to marry their women to stay in the country. I find this ironic since Poles are dying to leave the country, once they leave they usually don't intend on moving back. Even my African friend who lives in Iceland, was complaining about so many Poles living there. For the record the Icelandic people hate the poles.
On a side note - I met Polish girls in the UK, they were overly friendly once they knew I was "Canadian". So it seems it isn't only Nigerians that are trying to hustle their way over to the west.

Clubs and Bars all over the world, have been trying to exclude black men from their premises. This has always been part of the game, black men have always found ways to access women using unconventional ways like street game. I am talking before it became mainstream, with clowns like RSD and others putting a name to it.

Yesterday afternoon I went to the new hot spot in town. A roof top pool lounge with some serious hotties, usual gold-digger types, wannabes, Russian girls with fish lips and red bottom shoes. All of them taking selfies like mad and pics of each other. I happen to know the doorman from a previous life and he let me in. I inquired as to how much to use the pool, I was told it is a $200 membership which gives you other small perks.

I can see they are keeping this spot exclusive, good for me because I can get in. Not so good for everyone else.
