He also is fluent in Spanish, which Clinton feels can help her win in Florida, Colorado, and Nevada with Hispanics. The number of Hispanics in Florida has increased 60% and is 20% of the electorate. She's banking on winning Florida to give her the presidency.

According to her campaign, they feel if they win both Florida, Virginia and Colorado they win the presidency.

I don't believe Crooked Hillary's "reaction" is an attempt to comically respond to multiple reporters all asking questions at once, as some have suggested. I'm not a doctor, but it looks as if she had some sort of minor seizure or stroke. This seems much more likely to be the case, especially when you consider how she's been dodging interviews and press conferences this year.

True story:

I had this friend from middle school I fell out of touch with. Bumped into him in college. He hadn't aged well. Short, chubby, balding, and he didn't drive. WTF?! Who doesn't drive? Turns out he'd gotten Epilepsy and wasn't allowed behind the wheel.

But somehow he didn't let any of this bother him. Joined a frat. Met a sorority girl -- taller and extremely beautiful. Saw them together in the mall back in college. Once again my reaction was: WTF?!

Tim Kaine is a surprisingly safe pick by Clinton. Fairly well liked former-governor turned senator from a battleground state in Virginia. Less popular than his predecessor Mark Warner (also the other senator from VA), but not disliked. Has that down-to-earth vibe that Clinton is unable to pull off if her life depended on it.

However, here's where I get extremely cynical and go full Confederacy. Kaine would likely be succeeded in the US Senate by Terry McAuliffe, the carpetbagger sitting governor of VA. McAuliffe chaired Bill Clinton's 96 campaign, was head of the DNC from 2001-5, and chaired Hillary's 2008 bid for the nomination. This carpetbagger was born in New York, lived in Illinois, and then took over VA. He has tried to give 300,000 VA inmates the vote, because we all know they'd vote democrat. Fortunately, the state courts overturned his executive order just this week.

So I see this pick as less about Kaine as VP, but more about moving McAuliffe up in the world.

So while Trump may poll well there I don't think it has that much of an impact. Conversely NOVA is full of contractors and lobbyists with no loyalty to anyone who doesn't continue the path of government largesse.

Virginia is very much an uphill battle.
