Christie's speech was somewhat of a letdown. He oversimplified to absurdity when bringing up Syria and Assad and holding him chiefly responsible for the brutality there. Could've been a Democrat speaking during that part. Otherwise an interesting and smart take to include the crowd in his speech like that.

Trump Junior's speech though, god damn. Invigorating, 10/10. He also has the exact same body language and mannerisms as his father.

Carson's speech was great as well. Everyone's going to remember the connection he makes between Clinton, Alinsky and Lucifer. I guess that's extra heinous for Americans to hear (I'm European and our politicians never mention religion in their speeches).

Trump must have these guys fired up and bringing their best. Like a true leader does.

The Republican Party is broken, the leadership has not represented rank and file Republicans in a long time so we are finally taking action. That's why there was record breaking turnouts for the primaries.

The only viable strategy for changing things in the foreseeable future is to get involved and change the existing party, not trying to start another party. It just won't work. After decades the Libertarian Party still only wins an occasional election and all the other alternative parties are much further behind.

What am I doing? I'm showing up at the precinct meetings. I'm showing up at the county Republican Party meetings, I was a delegate to the State Republican Convention. I do what I can to bring up the issues that I care about with some success. This is what's happening with the Republican Party.
