A San Diego man with a Donald Trump yard sign in front of his house confronted a group of would-be vandals with a rifle on Wednesday evening. The vandals panicked and dialed 911. Police questioned the resident, Taren Meacham, but did not arrest him.

Local ABC News affiliate 10 News reports:

At around 10 p.m., a neighbor reportedly witnessed a group of four friends who had been walking down a sidewalk in the 100 block of West Juniper Street meddling with the campaign sign. The friends appeared to have been drinking.

Witnesses told San Diego police, the neighbor allegedly exited his home with a rifle and threatened the group using profanity. At one point he allegedly told them, “I’ve been waiting to use this.”

One of the people attempting to vandalize the sign recalled the event from her perspective:

Ashton Ferejan says she panicked when he pointed the gun at her, her husband and friends,

“I kind of just screamed ‘get back, get back,’ some of us yelled, my husband was like ‘are you serious, put down the weapon, this is ridiculous,'” Ferejan said.

Neighbors reportedly know Meacham, who owns a tattoo shop named “Love and Terror,” as a calm person. Evidently, however, he was prepared to defend his political preferences and his property.

I don't want to derail this thread just thought I'd share a story.

I'm at this house party and the US elections topic comes up. I'm from a country where it probably doesn't matter who wins though I believe Trump winning would be beneficial for us in the long term.

Everyone starts dissing Trump. I've been part of this forum long enough and really wasn't having any of it.

I had to stand up and tell everyone to calm down.

I then started on a rant about the media, internet and losers that influence people's ideas. Progressed onto everything I've learnt about hillary from the forum and how she'll end up fucking up our own country in the long term (digressed into the middle east's shitting on women thing - lost it here went into a epic rant couldn't control myself).

Towards the end of it though instead of abusing me everyone pretty much everyone except bar two retards agreed that if Trump wins the election the world would be in a better state. It feels good to influence people towards our ideas without explicitly stating you're into this culture.

The police questioned the guy and didn't make an arrest because he had every right to defend his property from being destroyed by vandals.

Hillary is inherently crippled by a fear of appearing weak because of her gender, so she counteracts this by being extra hawkish. Think Cheney/Graham warmongering x10.

The common opinion is that she'd start WW3 by fighting with Russia and Iran over Assad in Syria and the regime in Iran. Syria's been long gone for a while, but Iran is a nationalist behemoth of ~78 million disaffected citizens that have been praying for peaceful regime change since Khomeini revealed himself to be a despotic con man. Hillary's meddling there would ensure that Iran would never become a US ally again, and that Russia and the US would remain in a perpetual cold war until end times.

Edit: Iran is also one of the few nations that has been fighting ISIS from the start. War with them would all but ensure the rapid multiplication of ISIS and a strengthened Saudi Arabia. So then you would have the U.S. allying itself with Saudi Arabia and ISIS to fight Russia and Iran lolol

Such comic-book notions now dominate our political discourse, distorting reality and making it nearly impossible to objectively assess complex issues. Trump, for all his bizarre commentary on domestic issues, better grasps the subtleties of global politics and the dangers of thinking ourselves infallible and invincible.

She won't be able to hide for much longer. If she really as so far ahead, do you think Obama would be so rattled right now? Normally I don't watch TV anymore but a friend is over at my house here and wanted to turn on the local news. No surprise a dishonest media outlet, Channel 12 Phoenix (KPNX), spewed a massive amount of anti-Trump propaganda. Kept repeating that he has a negative approval rating about 5 times within two or three minutes. Then, the terrible media outlet made it seem like the violence at the Trump rallies was the fault of Trump supporters. Again, completely dishonest and full of lies.

I also agreed that it's a bit too early to worry about anything. Over the next couple of months, we will be seeing an increase of attacks from Trump and Clinton via TV ads, social media, news, etc.

My contract will take me to retirement, there is something liberating about being in terminal paygrade. My Trump gear comes in next week, Im going to start going to base early and put my MAGA hat on the dash so everyone sees it as they come into the building and Ill be wearing my Trump shirt to the gym too.

I love a little project mayhem, I was thinking of trolling my Tinder profile with a line at the end: "I want to bang a chick with my Trump hat on, swipe right to audition. Lets make Tinder great again!"
