Nope, this isn't a joke. I'm a fan of Qabalah and some forms of occultism, and as I was researching, I stumbled upon a weird subset of the MGTOW community: guys who have spirit girlfriends. By that, I mean that they actually have forsworn real women and instead try to have sexual and romantic relationships with ghosts/spirits. This is some tumblr shit right here:

They're just degenerates and libertines, who would probably molest children if they weren't afraid of getting caught. A man (or woman) who isn't interested in the opposite sex does something productive with his time, like St. Paul or Mother Teresa, rather than inventing imaginary girlfriends. Have some charity/compassion - life has many facets and getting laid is but one of the many. There is more to a man's worth than his ability to get laid.
Maybe these days, men have come to think that their self worth correlates to their smv - but is it really true? Self worth is much more and goes beyond these things

While I agree with you, the MGTOW crowd aren't sincere - since they spend most of their free time fantasizing about women who'd never give them the time of day, and imagining their own sexual failure is because they're "too nice" rather than the obvious fact that they're desperate losers.

So in reality they equate their worth with SMV even moreso than most guys who can actually get laid, they just sit around resentful at the world for their own self-imposed lack of worth.

(They also selectively use traditional gender shaming when it suits their interest; they "shame" men with girlfriends for example as "pussy beggers" because they are so female-dominated that they can't possibly image a man in a relationship not being pussy whipped; yet when they're told to stop acting like children and "man up" they all of a sudden renounce "gender shaming" as just a social construct).

This essentially puts them in the same class as welfare leeches who sit around their section 8 apartment all day blaming "racism", "capitalism", "angry white men" for why their lives are so shitty, instead of the fact that they're just lazy, entitled neer-do-wells which everyone but them can easily see.

Not that I'm a fan of MGTOW, but they actually do discuss those things on their subforums, so let's not go overboard on the hate. Just because they have a fundamentally different way of life than you or me doesn't mean we have to resort to feminist taunts of "tiny dick", "basement dweller" and "loser".

MGTOWs do not focus on solutions and are not solution orientated. We do not sniff underarms for baking soda or regular deodorant yet, but we still expect style and grooming and without having to discuss it because good hygiene it is not up for debate here.
