Gee, couldn't imagine getting angry at the type of woman who would be seen in public cackling with her lawyer during divorce hearings.

How about this. She's a whore and probably a lying one at that, and he's an emotionally unstable dumbass who was lucky enough to make a lot of money because he was blessed with good cheekbones.

I often complain on here that the difference between men and women is that while both date losers, only women will marry them and then expect them to change into saints. Guys don't marry whores and expect housewives.

Well, Depp proved me wrong. He did just that.

This whole topic really puts me in a bad mood because it's an example of the worst of human nature all around. Plus, it makes George Clooney look good by comparison -- and lately I've been hating Clooney because of his politics. But at least Clooney wasn't dumb enough to make some bimbo rich through marriage.

I haven't read the thread since it got past the first page. Obviously this was a setup and it was called out as such, early on.

I'm not really into all this celebrity gossip type stuff, but I like Johnny a lot. Probably to do with the fact I'm a massive Hunter S Thompson fan. Those two got on famously.

I was wondering what was up with Johnny though when he started to bloat a bit. Usually these Hollywood stars are so high on life and full of vanity that they wouldn't let themselves get into that state, and when you win the handsome good looks lottery of life like Johnny, you probably would want to hold on to them. I would anyway.

So it looked like he was going through a bit of a rough time of it, whatever it was. Now I find out that his mum died and they were very close. She had been ill for some time apparently. It explains everything. That kind of thing can burn any man to the ground. Fame, money, celebrity and all its trappings don't count for much when you go through that.

Yes, it's always good to maintain frame and self-differentiation, but that is easier said than done, especially if your're not a lizard. I think Johnny is one of the good guys and it got to him.

As for the rest of the debacle, it's all been covered really. He'll come out of this ok and on top I'm sure.

And Amber will forever be known as the girl who so crassly screwed Johnny Depp (in more ways than one), and kicked him when he was down. But I must say this is classic passive-aggression from a woman. I know that many here understand passive-aggressiveness, but I'm not sure if it's clear that people who have this frame of mind really can not miss an opportunity to hit when you are at your lowest. Passive-aggression quickly turns to good old fashioned aggression in my experience.

That is the problem with passive-aggressive people. You can put up with their shit and laugh at it and dismiss it, but always be aware, if you really become vulnerable, these people will stomp on your head like the true vipers they are. I think there was a bit of this going on here. Johnny was probably at one of the most vulnerable points in his life, falling apart with it all, even. Then BAM! He got hit where it hurts in a sucker punch. The timing is more than suspect.

I worship no man. And I certainly don't worship Hollywood celebrities. But what the hell, I'll make an exception for Johnny coz I like him. And he plays guitar (a very cool guitar). I wish him all the best.
