Youtube is such a failure at controlling attention whores, fake thumbnails and overall shitty videos.

The platform should have details on the thumbnail such as like/dislike bar, an option to ignore an entire channel, an option to delete suggested content off of your channel homepage, options to straight up remove content from particular countries; "not interested" option isn't good enough.

But alas they don't because this would hurt revenues and butthurt attention whores. Clickbait titles would cease within a month and return a bit of normality to the whole website.

It isn't enough you simply close the window because they have had your view count and this goes towards their ad revenue. If some dickhead marketeer in a shop says "FREE STUFF" and you then have to pay a subscription to their magazine to get free stuff you'd tell them to fuck off and stop falsely advertising.

Do it on Youtube? No consequences!

Just came across this article in Golf Digest, titled "The Secret Life of Cart Girls" (referring to the girls who drive golf carts around the course to sell you beer):

Not too much interesting about it, as you might expect of a story about interacting with men written by a typically solipsistic woman.

But there was one thing that I noted. I just read LOZ's brilliant post on the Year Zero ideology, and so this paragraph stood out to me.

She likely believes in the Year Zero idea that men should be re-made to feminist specifications.

Sam, on the other hand, seems to have the right intuition.

Summer is finally here and the weather is good enough to go out for walks/runs in the evening. There's something very relaxing to me about going for a walk or a run on a nice summer evening. Anyway, all the dog walkers are out in mass numbers too and I don't mind dogs but it bugs me seeing girls out with dogs bigger than them which they clearly can't control. Yesterday I was out and this skinny 5'1 girl has a dog (pardon my ignorance of the breed) which is twice her size. As I am walking towards her I can see that the dog doesn't want to walk and with all of her force she cannot move him. As I got closer the dog lunged at me but I was aware enough to simply move out of the way. I just shook my head and walked away. But what's with small girls buying big dogs?

On second thought, maybe this post should go into the Haters Lounge thread lol.

I ate lunch out today, sat at a booth, and began thinking. At restaurants I am generally predisposed to choosing a booth over a standard table with chairs. I'm sure most others are like this, but why do we choose it?

Theory 1: Comfort factor, a booth feels more secluded than a table, making the meal more private and intimate, but still you feel as if you have more room at that booth

Theory 2: Novelty factor, essentially everyone has a table at home they use for most of their meals. When out, why sit at a boring table when a sweet booth is available!?

Any other thoughts, theories, or random bullshit musings on the topic?

There is definitely a Return of Kings article worth of material about this.
The town I live in has girls walking dogs everywhere, and if I am on the sidewalk and see a woman and a dog walking towards me, even if they are on the other side of the street, I know that by the time they reach me, either the dog, the girl, or the leash will be blocking my path, and that is a good day, because it means the dog hasn't lunged or snapped at me.

I think it is mostly a case of Schnauzerhausen by Proxy, and that the woman is consciously or subconsciously acting out either her lust for power, attention, or general misanthropy, but letting the dog do all the heavy lifting for her.

I have tried chastizing them, or telling them to control their dog, and all they do is laugh at you, and this includes mothers with children, and even little old ladies, so it is definitely a phenomenon, and not random bad luck.

And you are so right about the ones with big dogs. It is like they are trying to effect a mojo-slide, where in their fevered minds, all of the power and danger of the dog becomes actually their own personal power again through proxy, like a dangerous version of moms who let their kids tear up a restaurant, and smile beatifically, pretending to ignore how annoying it is for everyone else, and daring anyone to say anything.

Once a doberman looking dog almost latched on to one of my fingers as I was passing by, and I said to the owner, "You're lucky, that was almost a lawsuit," and she just got that "Huh" look on her face like she had been slapped out of a deep sleep.

Another time I was walking on a sidewalk, no dogs in sight, past a pickup with a shell that was in a driveway and sticking out into the sidewalk. As I passed, a fucking pit bull stuck its head out of the shell and snarled at me.

I jumped back, and the woman was sitting right there, smirking at me, like she was getting off on seeing what her dog would do.

"Did my dog scare you?" she said hopefully.

"No," I said, "your dog startled me. You scare me."

There is no doubt that this is a thing, and that there is some twisted girl reason for it.

I am not sure what you could do about it because these women can't be shamed or made to see reason. I thought about carrying pepper spray, and that might work, it's just I don't want the dog to have to pay for her bad behavior.

And don't bother asking them if their dog is friendly, they don't really know, and wouldn't really care if they were wrong and their dog bit you.

The only plus side is that because they never train them, often you see women having fights with their dogs, arguing with them when the pooches don't anticipate their needs, just like they would with a man. At least that is good for a laugh.

Hater's Lounge is for things you personally hate. This belongs here because it is a general menace.

The topic of dogs and women with dogs has been coming up a lot here on the forum lately. Surely this is due to the prevalence of the ubiquitous "dog-mom" trend.

Women generally make poor dog owner's because dogs are basically 100% reliant on humans. They've been bred that way. This means they look to humans for all of their direction and life support. Women are not very suitable leaders for such an animal. They can't be effective fathers and they generally can't be effective dog masters either. A dog needs discipline and a firm hand to be trained and become well-behaved. Masculine traits.

I went skydiving for the first time a couple hours ago. I felt more scared going up in the plane then I did jumping out of it. I also noticed breathing through my noise was harder than I expected; it felt like I was drowning in an ocean of air as it rushed into my face.

I'm back on solid ground, but my I still feel a little lightheaded.
