Edit: I read up on the "hermeneutics of suspicion" for ten minutes on the internet, which is probably as much as this lady did. It means "the process of analyzing something from a bad faith standpoint". In this instance, she's right about the hijacking. Feminists have been relentlessly dissecting all aspects of society, from public transportation to college entrance exams, all using bad-faith judgement. Now a handful of bloggers turn the tables and they go apeshit knowing an accusation of bad-faith on their part is 100% true.

I don't care how educated a woman may think she is about us and how much she has "studied" our "methods". Before I did law and my MD/PhD I was a psychology major with a minor in sociology. I will let you guys in on a little secret that non STEM PhDs will not tell you, humanities based majors (especially those with terminal degrees) have an inferiority complex. They know they are full of shit (imposter syndrome ) so they use shitty statistics and big meaningless word salads to prop themselves up. Lawyers know what their function is, as do Doctors, engineers, and mathematicians - woman's studies PhDs, Gender studies PhDs and the like know they really aren't shit, so they over compensate with esoteric language and aggressive word salad.

And yet THERE IS NO SEXUAL VIOLENCE!!! Sexual violence connotes a person who physically coerces another person into having sex, or beats them up if they refuse to have sex.

If their idea of "sexual violence" is a reference to what people write, well, that's even scarier. When the written word is thought of as being "violent," that's the start of the end of Freedom of Speech. Words can have meanings, but they cannot be "violent," unless you really stretch the definition of the word "violence" or create a new one.

This is newspeak at its worst.

Back to the presentation: Out of everyone named, NONE have ever been linked to violence of a sexual nature. I'd even go so far as to say none have committed violence, even when violence was directed at them.

Labeling bloggers and writers as proponents of "sexual violence" is not only in accurate, it's potentially libelous. It's defamation of character.

Since bloggers are (mostly) public figures, libel laws probably don't apply. But...I wonder if there is some loophole here, since several of the bloggers mentioned write anonymously. I'd like to see someone, someday lodge a defamation of character suit against these feminists when they publicly accuse men of things that have no basis in reality.

"Violence" is a serious charge, and the word shouldn't just be thrown around.
