Often it truly depends on some exec's terrible decision. In truth Hollywood always had the job to indoctrinate the public. I have read it in old journals that were written in the 1930s. But regardless of the indoctrination points dropped (usually a few or one per movie so that it is hardly noticed), they did not go the route of pure open Soviet propaganda, so that the entire script was warped in order to satisfy every fucking whim of the social programmers.

Now it seems that Hollywood has partly termed that the audience is dumb and indoctrinated enough to swallow the whole gender-feminism-SJW-bullshit dildo.

It only gets painful when they pump 200 mio. $ into a movie and then not even get the investment back. In reality they intended to milk the Ghostbusters into a 3-movie multi-billion dollar franchise.

Instead Deadpool seems to be going that way. By the way - Deadpool was blocked by a moronic Fox exec and only after getting fired was Deadpool made with a tiny 58 mio. $ budget and making almost 800 mio.$.

What the execs are forgetting is that the public will likely never be brainwashed enough for a "funny" SJW-feminist movie. The reason is because it is utterly against human nature and psychology.

Wow, I can't believe someone actually green lit this piece of shit. This movie is going to be a complete and total disaster and I can't wait for it to bomb. Any hope of having a decent sequel died along with Harold Ramis. The only reason to make another "Ghostbusters" movie would've been to have one last hurrah for the original cast, a nostalgic send off for the series' original fans. No one wanted, needed or asked for a feminist Ghostbusters flick.

I wonder what sort of impact, if any, this movie sinking like a turd at the box office will have on future releases. How much money does Hollywood have to lose before it starts placing a greater importance on their films' financial success than simply using them as vehicles to push their politics?

I love that Midnight's Edge pointed out how Amy Pascal can't even write. That's fucking hilarious. Seriously, how did she even get that job? I assume she's so obsessed with sticking women in lead roles (even when they're not appropriate for them) because she's resentful of how much dick she had to suck to get where she is now. How unbelievably arrogant for her to assume she would know more than Ivan Reitman about what to do with a "Ghostbusters" movie.

Just because SHE wanted to see an all-female team, she thinks the whole world needs to see it. Well, hopefully when this film inevitably bombs she'll learn the lesson that even though you can serve us all shit sandwiches, it doesn't mean we'll like the taste.

According to Ben Shapiro, Hollywood went "liberal" during the Baby Boomer era when metropolitan, college-educated young adults of the counter culture era began replacing the old Hollywood establishment who had been much more conservative.

I'm thinking Hollywood may eventually end up turning away from the progressive, PC line of movies and TV shows sometime in the near future; the huge success of anti-PC shows like the Sopranoes leads me to think this.

I'm also definitely not of the opinion that the majority of youth or audiences are nearly as liberal as is made out to be, but rather these messages are just AstroTurf to audiences by the liberal Hollywood establishment; therefore the negative reaction on Youtube to this trailer gives me a lot of hope.

The Internet has given rise to a lot of independent voices, and the Establishment doesn't like that; this is why I believe we're seeing such shameless pushing on the part of far-left SJWs in the media today, they sense their stranglehold over the media faltering and are reacting out of fear.

I think you present some good points and I hope you're right about the future of the film industry. I enjoy movies as both a source of entertainment and as an art form, but I have my limits on what I'm willing to watch. We all know Hollywood loves to pat itself on the back for its promotion of leftist/"progressive" values including homosexuality and transgenderism, etc., but such films at least in the past (though they'd frequently be showered with praise and awards) have been relegated to only a few titles and aren't the overwhelming majority of work being produced.

If the urge to continue pushing politics irrespective of what audiences actually want to watch continues, it may be necessary at some point for us to start producing our own content. For those of you reading this who think it's a waste of time to get involved in such business, need I remind you of the power of narrative? It's how the leftists have been able to get away with everything they've done. We could try explaining to people what it means to be red pill until we're blue in the face and most still won't get it. People aren't compelled by argument most of the time, in fact, they usually double-down on their own beliefs when they're challenged on them. So what's the answer? How do we deal with this? Well, here's my take on it:

Get them in a dark movie theater, aim them at a giant screen with great sound, putting them in a suggestive state. Tell them it's impolite to talk during the movie, as it prevents others from enjoying it (but also has the great benefit of preventing counterargument and practically forces them to just sit there, shut up and watch/listen). Since people are usually more persuaded by their emotions than rational thought, a well-crafted story presenting our narrative could do in two-hours what a hundred expertly written articles could do.

Ben Shapiro has a video on YouTube on how to combat leftists where he basically states that the reason conservatives keep losing arguments is because they're trying to appeal to logic whereas liberals are appealing to emotion. We know from practicing game how you shouldn't try to appeal to a woman's logic, but should stir her emotions in order to elicit the desired response. Well, filmmaking would be our chance to game on a global scale.

I saw Civil War today (pretty good) and during the previews, the trailer for Ghostbusters came on. When it did, an audible groan/huff went through the audience as if everyone wanted to say "I'm already sick of this shit".

Regular people are objecting to this kind of crap agenda pushing, even if they can't exactly pinpoint why.

Article above in today's Entertainment section of the local Fairfax papers. What gets me is that it's written by a man. If I hadn't seen the photo I'd have sworn it was a typical leftist female journalist.

The story, the cast, the feminist message, the dark feel - that is no problem at all.

I can think of multiple ways of doing a better Ghostbusters.

They should have done a Ghostbusters 3 and built it up to a franchise.

A potentially funny cast that could have consisted of sons and daughters of the original crew would be:



Winston's son - genius, super-nerdy on the autistic spectrum, but funny - he could literally play his part in the British sticom IT crowd and it would be fine.

Aubrey Plaza could play the daughter of a scientist who is born a genius (rare, but do exist), who is a misanthropic bitch who hates people.



She is actually one of the rare actresses who is funny.

Then you could add a super-heroic guy into the mix - making him the son of Bill Murrey's character. He banged a woman, who was very hot, but also very dumb:



Chris Pratt could pull off that likeable, heroic, but dumb character. They could also do the Ghostbusters more action-oriented and would need a more believable character who can pull off athletics. He would be that team-member. And he would not be a dumb receptionist.

And then you could get Dan Aykroyd's kid on the fat side, grubby, always horny and with little success with women:



There are also a myriad ways to make the new generation of ghosts be more modern and exciting.

a) let video game characters appear live via a mixing of ghost-tech and video-games

b) sexy ghosts of both men and women who turn out to be creepy

c) Ghostbusters visiting lower dimensions where Ghosts reside

d) One Ghost even joining their crew and aiding them becoming a 5th Ghostbuster

etc.

But of course when you have to make feminist SJW themed idiotic crap that adheres to intersectional feminism, then you end up with Zoe Quinn masterpiece Depression Quest while selling it as the next best thing since Halo.

By the way - the movies will become worse with each year, becasue the propaganda moves forward and the elite are not stopping. Also Disney has become emboldened by the success of the Star Wars Justice Wars. In that universe you will see trannies galore and probably in the next installments even interracial trans-species trans-gender pedophiles who enjoy fucking sheep and dead bodies for fun. That will be Star Wars in the year 2025 and if it makes a billion, then they will push further.

This movie is proof of how women, especially feminists, can never be pleased. It wasn't enough to have one female Ghostbuster, they wanted an all-female team. They couldn't make a direct sequel because it would acknowledge women weren't intelligent enough to have come up with the idea of the Ghostbusters business model or technology first. By rebooting the franchise, it could now push a feminist/SJW agenda showcasing women as "strong, independent and intelligent entrepreneurs".
