Massive good news for American expats and travelers indeed, if confirmed and soon implemented.

I wish the Vietnamese authorities would also extend the visa-free time period existing for people of 5 European countries (Germany, France, Britain, Italy and Spain), because the current 15-day period is not enough actually, for serious and committed travelers.

RE: Ho Chi Minh relocation?
Flying in late tomorrow night, spending the first couple of weeks in a D1 hotel or airbnb while I scout out the city and find a suitable long-term spot. I've looked through some housing options and the mid-range studio/1br places are pretty terrible value. Finding a roommate and going with a higher-end 2/2 place with great logistics seems to be by far the best bet. If you've come to the same conclusion, hit me up. I'll be in town for at least May/June/July and would be down to split a place, three months for starters.

I'm an early 20's poker player, also own a business back in the States, would love to kick it with some forum guys while I'm over here. I'm down for anything except drinks. Also will be looking for a solid weight room and mma gym, Saigon Sports Club looks top notch but it's way out in D7. Anyone find a place they'd recommend?

I've been going to Saigon Sports Club for ~1 month and it is awesome but it is just to far away, especially if you like to work out when there is rush in the traffic. I'm about trying new gyms in the coming days.
Also i will send you a PM.

Yeah I was worried SSC would be way too far out unless I actually decided on living in D7 but all the comments in this thread and all the others on the forum pretty much agree on not staying in D7. SSC looked awesome not only because of the immaculate facilities/weight room but because the monthly fee was inclusive of 12+ martial arts classes per month which I was excited about. I'm down to help in the search for another gym starting tomorrow.

RE: Ho Chi Minh relocation?
I'll be landing in Saigon in approx 4 hours. Currently at my stopover in KL where I have been sleeping basically on a park bench for the past few hours. I've got 3 cute girls keen to meet with me in the first hours of arriving, not really sure how to juggle this.

One of them is sweet and wants to cook me dinner. Another wants to see a movie. The third I get a bit of a slut vibe from.. I think my decision has been made for me.

RE: Ho Chi Minh relocation?
Two weeks in Saigon, I'll give my best on a rundown. 24 years old.

I've gone on dates with 3 girls, all from vietcupid. My first date was with a girl (21) I had been pipelining for two weeks before arriving. She was a 7.5 and sent me a nude so it was an easy decision to meet with her on my first night. She turned out to be really pleasant and spoke perfect English - she drove me around looking at apartments for 4 hours over 2 days and I went on a trip with her to Phan Thiet for a day. I secured the notch on our first date, about 12 hours after landing in Vietnam. I've seen her maybe 6 nights since then. She's shown me heaps of cool little coffee shops where all the Viets hang out and always does her best to pay half which I don't often accept. I think she'll be in my rotation for a while Wink. If anyone wants addresses of some nice places for dates, let me know.

The 2nd girl (20) is a virgin and probably a 7. I’d say an 8 body and a 6 face. I've seen her twice, both times we have gone out for dinner, the 2nd time ending back at mine. I would have almost certainly had the notch on our 2nd date if she were not on her period. I'm not 100% sure I want to get the notch though, she is a bit clingy and lives around 5 minutes from me, ha. Good English but her voice is annoying. So I think a virgin notch is there for me but I'm not sure that I should. I am seeing her on Monday and she is bringing me two towels because I mentioned I needed some.

The third girl (19). When I first met her she was picking me up from my place and was decked out in riding attire; helmet, face mask, jacket and a dress down to ankles, (nothing worse than a tan for Vietnamese girls). She lowered her face mask and said hi, so I jumped on being 95% sure this was the girl I was supposed to meet. I barely knew what she looked like, I had seen just two photos of her – one of them she looked like an 8 and the other a 5 so I wasn’t expecting much. I tried to engage in some small talk on the way to dinner but she was barely understanding me and spoke very softly so I thought I would just wait until we arrive to wherever we are eating. At this point I'm thinking "hmmm this is going to be pretty average", but as we turn up to eat and she drops down to jean shorts and a singlet.. Gentlemen, it was at that moment that I knew I wanted this notch.. It would be mine! I didn't even go in for a kiss on the first date, we were in public the entire time and by the time she dropped me home it was 9.30 and she has a 10.00pm curfew, so we parted ways without any bold moves on my behalf

Good update man.
Where did you find the apartments that you looked at and what district did you end up in?
I stayed at a hotel on my last trip but will definitely get an apartment next time

Probably will be back in September so if you are still in town we could get a beer

RE: Ho Chi Minh relocation?
Continued...

Our 2nd date yesterday, she picked me up at 10am, giving me plenty of time. We went for breakfast, then for coffee, and back to mine on the pretense of watching a movie. I had her on my bed for 90 minutes and it was nearing 4:00pm before I finally got the balls to kiss her. There was a tonne of kino beforehand but I just never felt comfortable going in. When I did, she was very receptive and there was almost no LMR, until I reached over to my drawer and pulled out a jimmy. All of a sudden she pulls the blankets over herself and says "why do you have those! Do you do this all the time?" I just laughed it off and said that I always had one 'just in case' (thanks Roosh) and continued turning her on and it was all good from there. I don't think I need to tell you gentlemen how incredible her pussy was Wink She had a hard time taking everything but it was definitely in my top 2 or 3 lifetime notches. We met again today and spent the whole day in bed, I had to bail on plans to meet with girl #1

So only 2 notches in 15 nights, but they are both quality girls which is what I am after. I could probably have 6 or 7 online notches with 5's and 6's but I don't think it would do much for me. I do tend to rely solely on online dating, but it has been good to me so far. Admittedly it is a bit of a crutch. I would find it hard to day game until my Vietnamese becomes somewhat decent I think and I don’t drink much or have any interest in night game.

I think that's all for now. Any questions regarding anything like prices, places to go, attitude and attractiveness of girls, please go ahead.

TL;DR - Online game is great. Girls have been really pleasant so far and I actually enjoy their company, even after sex ha. If you are staying long term, get a girl to help you out with finding a place, etc.. Makes it so much easier

I've ended up on the border of District 5 and 8 which I am kind of regretting as it is a little far from some places, but at $380 a month it will do. How long are you thinking of staying? I can get you in contact with the guy I used, I found him on the HCM expat page on facebook, I filled out a form of his, and he basically sent me about 20 different apartments to look at over viber. I had a look at about 5 of them before settling on where I am now.

Hopefully I'll see you in September!

RE: Ho Chi Minh relocation?
Man I am getting close to zero IOIs while out and about during the day as an athletic, decently dressed early 20's guy in HCMC. If anything, girls are going out of their way to completely ignore me or look as far away from me as possible. This wasn't the case at all during Burn and I's short trip to Da Nang. Anyone have any insight? I really wanna bang a quality chick that ISN'T online/on Tinder and super westernized before leaving and I don't at all mind investing some time to make it happen.

Oh and if you're around and want to grab some lunch/dinner/coffee/whatever feel free to hit me up.

Grow some balls and approach girls that you find attractive instead of waiting for IOIs.

Anybody know of any older guys (40+) who've made the move to relocate to HCM or other parts of Vietnam, either as a long term temporary move or perhaps permanent?

Curious as to their experiences.

They might have noticed you before you noticed them, and are shy or attracted enough that they don't want direct eye contact. Approaching will "call the question".

Agreed. Approach anyway, but make sure you try not the "scare the cat," as Roosh says. In my experience, Vietnamese girls are notoriously skittish during the day.

Business-looking girls/women are a good bet.

Also, don't zoom up on your motorbike and stop by some girls either. A forum member did this and ended up scaring the living shit out of the girls. He knows who he is...

RE: Ho Chi Minh relocation?
My three months in Saigon is officially up. I'll definitely be back; I've been around and HCM is without question one of my favorite cities. Had some crazy experiences, met some cool ass dudes, and even met a memorable chick I genuinely enjoyed (and a few more not so memorable Tinder hoes). Chilled with a couple of Viet ballers visiting from the States who invited me to their hotel party complete with ketamine, hookers, and a personal DJ mrgreen Checked out Da Nang with the OP and we were both huge fans of the place.

Most of the data on the city has been covered by guys much more knowledgeable than me but one thing I will say is Vietnamese women are sharp compared to their SE Asian sisters. I'm not saying they're intellectual powerhouses or philosophers but they seem to be hungry to learn and are pretty tuned in socially. It seemed like a ton of the girls that spend a lot of time around foreigners have realized that the overwhelming majority of them are complete pussies so if they are attracted AND don't see you as a provider they will mercilessly shit test you. If they're with their gay BFF, he will join in. Hold your frame and breeze through it and she'll melt like butter. Not only that but you have now earned the gay BFF's respect and approval and he is without question the best wing you could ever hope to have around here.

Till next time!

I spent time in HCMC but want to explore more options for a return trip.

^ Can't be nightlife bc HCMC is better in that department. I think Hanoi is (relatively) more walkable with more balanced cooler climate....not as scorching as HCM.
