Mother of Sanaya Sahib confesses to toddler’s murder

Quote:THE mother of 14-month-old Sanaya Sahib has confessed to the murder of her toddler after she was charged by homicide detectives today.

While Victoria Police released few details over the arrest, they confirmed a 22-year-old woman from Heidelberg West had been charged with one count of murder.

The child was found dead in Darebin Creek early on Sunday morning.
Sofina Nikat faced an out of sessions court hearing at approximately 5:45pm.

The court heard Ms Nikat made a “full confession to the murder” of her baby girl, Homicide Detective Senior Sergeant Stuart Bailey told the bail justice.

She had been held in a secret location by police for the last few days and was reportedly in the care of social workers.

Channel Nine aired footage of the woman being escorted from the hearing.

The network reported there was speculation the book Ms Nikat was clutching was a copy of the Koran.

The family of the deceased said they had no comment when asked if they knew of the recent developments, but according to Channel Ten crime reporter Sharnelle Vella, “police phoned the family a short time ago alerting them to the fact she [Sofina] had been charged”.

Quote:The Herald Sun understands the post mortem is expected to show that the little girl died of smothering, though according to The Project, the family deny that claim.

“Investigators are no longer looking for anyone else in relation to this investigation,” police said.

They refused to go into any further detail over the allegations surrounding the woman.

A post mortem is expected to show she died of smothering, however police media said the results have not been finalised.

The CCTV was taken from security camera vision outside a resident’s house nearby.

“The woman clearly is walking with a pram, it’s difficult to determine immediately what is in the pram as she walks towards the park and towards the road that leads to Darebin Creek.

“However on the way back, the pram is clearly empty.”

Police have not commented on what — if anything — was captured on CCTV cameras located near the park where the abduction took place.

Truly awful. What drives these monsters to kill a baby? But more importantly, what brings them to want to bring a child into the world? What has to switch, or better off snap in one's brain to do this? There are plenty of agencies willing to take in children and many with no questions of why.

Why? Because it disproportionately affects men, not women. Women are very rarely given the death penalty. They are one percent of death row inmates in the US, and only forty of them have been in executed in the previous century.

And making matters worse: because capital cases have a seriously unhealthy rate of failure. Especially in alleged rape cases, where the Innocence Project and other similar bodies keep turning up DNA that contradicts the victim's hysterically impassioned cries that "It was HIM! Women kill their babies. This is an unfortunate reality. It happened in the past and will continue to do so.





Women are responsible for most child abuse as well.

Personally I think that women are woefully under-nourished before, during and after childbirth. The orthomolecular doses for pregnant and feeding women are 3 times what I take, and I take in some areas 50 times more than pregnant women take in conventional supplements. Lack of nutrients will create post-natal depressions.

A lot of it would be prevented by solid food and good supplements. And another part would be avoided if grandma was living close by and women had the support of other women - or at least other mothers were nearby and found out the mental instability of those killer-mothers.

But this won't happen anytime soon. Psychopaths will do bad things - some fathers will sexually abuse their kids and some mothers will mistreat, abuse and kill their children. Society (and good medical treatment and nutrition) can prevent some things, but other than punishment there is little we can do.

Of course now women are getting a pass for those things and there are calls by feminists to not even give those women jail-time. RIP modern society.

Like in other such cases, I suspect the motive was an escape from single mom status, in favor of a particular man or to raise her value for men in general.

p.s. On Sunday the copper in charge was giving a description of the then-suspected perp on the radio. He went through every factor (height, weight, clothes etc) EXCEPT race until the very end where, and I shit you not, he actually choked on the words "man of African extraction".

Actually the scene should be taken as an insult by religous people - as if a mass murderer is shielding himself with the Bible.

While I am usually quick to point out the defects of Islam, this time at least Islam is off the hook. She may have shielded herself with the Most Holy of Holy Books, but the killing your own infant is not condoned in the book. Though there were known cases in Saudi Arabia where mothers did the same, but then shifted the blame to the maid and she got executed. Either way - in Islamic countries she would be executed.

Ah well - in the West they will just plead mental stress, terrible abusive experiences with men, rape-victim, racism, etc. - and she will be free within months.

Asked later why she did that, she said it was her favorite song and always would be.

In this case, it was a little too late in the game to blame her behaviour on dietary deficiencies during pregnancy.

Women will abandon any responsibility, commitment or vow as soon as it no longer brings them status...then hamster a way to look like a victim. These are just extreme examples of the same principle.

If she didn't think the baby would bring some kind of advantage, she would have legally murdered it 14 months prior.

It always seemed to me that they were always like this, just playing along with the rules of society, thinking they had everyone fooled, until one day they went too far, and everyone got mad at them, and now they are scrambling to make it seem like they are human beings, just like everyone else, only they don't quite know how to do it.

I could imagine their friends, grilling them in the horror of what their friend has done, and the sociopath, not quite knowing why everyone is so mad at them, gamely trying to use all their usual excuses to get out of it:

If you are morally capable of murdering your own infant child you are not fit to be alive. This abhorrent behaviour is not one of a human but of a beast that is not deserving to breathe the same air that civilized folk do.
