One shift that has made a hell of a difference in my life is getting away from the alpha/beta dichotomy and seeing that all things are relative. I think that's the biggest lesson any man coming into the manoaphere can gain from the incessant talk about being alpha in all situations, bro. Everything is contextual.

Just because these guys aren't great looking doesn't meant they aren't making 1.75mil a year at a hedge fund or in their own businesses. They may be alpha as fuck in one facet of life.

I see it happening so much today. Chubby/skinny, ugly, glasses-wearing hipsters getting with solid 8's and 9's. I feel that the legitimate reasons for this phenomenon include:

• There are far more betas today than years ago (obviously), and it's growing at a fast and irreversible rate.
• The ratio of men who want to settle to women who want to settle is off, tipped in favor of men. (While the opposite applies to men and women who want to casually go out / bang.) So some attractive women are forced to settle for less quality than they are due to fewer options.

My prediction is that because of this, in the next few years we'll either see a lot of these attractive women letting themselves go quickly, or cuckolding will skyrocket.

Anyway, post pictures, videos, TV shows/movies, real stories, etc. of beta/cuckold/feminine men being settled on via a sad process of elimination by carousel survivors / good girls, and take a stab at the psychology behind this phenomenon.

A lot of couples from my Facebook that I’m considering posting as well. That’s where most of this is coming from. It’s real-life couples, not so much couples in the media.

Yes, it’s a trend. I see these types of couples in small town America as well as larger EU cities. It’s everywhere in the West and now the image is even being used in German advertising. You would never have seen this 10 years ago.

While there are more of these guys than there used to be
women not only settle for them, they deliberately seek them out. It has nothing to do with providing but everything to do with emotional control. These guys will never challenge her on any of her Western independent BS. It’s like having your own personal lapdog.

We are entering a world of the alpha, player and the beta chump, with very little room for anything in-between.

I don't understand why this post exists. Who cares what men look like? Women want a man who is a good provider or a good father. That's what they've always wanted.

I don't get what the argument is.

Women go after Beta-Bucks and divorce them. I've seen it a handful of times. Hot chicks, get a dorky tall guy with money, 5 months after the baby is out the divorce papers are on the table. She lives happily ever.

Instead of just looking at their attractiveness individually, you should look at their body language towards each other. Do they look affectionate (especially from the girl towards the guy) and do they look like they have plenty of sex?

I have seen couples like this and half of the time it takes me a while to realise they're a couple because the girl looks somewhere between cold / distant to just-a-friend towards her guy. The other half I see the guy being excessively affectionate towards his girl while the girl looks chilled and nonchalant, or in other words, he plays the feminine role and she plays the masculine role.

It's a kind of game between my girlfriend and I to observe this as we walk around our city. She loves doing this, because our body language is so vastly different to them. She walks half a step behind me, holds on to my right arm with both her hands, leans into me with her head on my shoulder, her eyes entirely on me, carries all my stuff etc. In contrast, we often see couples where the girl is attractive (because I don't bother looking at fat ugly bitches) and the guy looks beta (we don't use this word, usually we just note how skinny and effeminate the guy is), and their body language has one or many of the followings:

- No handholding, they look like friends walking around
- Handholding in the wrong positions - the girl has the leading hand (this is the most common)
- Handholding right technically but the girl leads and drags the guy around
- Guy leaning into his girl, looking at her the whole time, while she observes the surroundings
- Guy walking behind his girl
- Guy carrying all her shit
- Guy excessively mate-guarding *

* sometimes I'd check out the girl a little too much, and then look at the guy. With older guys, I was used to them throwing me a "hey watch out mate" look, but with younger millennials, they seem to lean into their girl and hold on to her tight as if they're scared of big bad meanie me, i.e they act exactly like a girl. They do what my girlfriend does when she notices other girls checking me out.

Some of those couples are people my girlfriend knows - her female friends date or marry those wimpy guys. Those women tend to be religious and/or rather sheltered, and the guys happen to be in their social circle. The women don't really get to meet men better than those fellas. My girlfriend would comment on how the guys behave like teenagers around their girls, sometimes even on occasions like their wedding day, which disgusts her.

Now, if you observe those sorts of stuff between a couple, do you think the guy is banging her brains out regularly or do you think he gets pity sex once in a while? Do you think he's getting served by his woman or is he doing the serving?

Those women will inevitably cheat on those guys and swing to another branch if they can. If you see them in a relationship with those guys, it's mostly just for convenience, they are available for the taking by a stronger man.

The rare woman is happy with a beta man. They settle, for a myriad of reasons.

Though, betas do match up with one type of woman in my personal mating algebra (and observation): the alpha woman.

Alpha men best mate with beta women (the natural, feminine woman) who will eagerly fulfill normative female roles and behavior within the relationship. His alphaness inspires her to behave in concert with her personality. She offers him an easy relationship, and most often attractiveness and good mothering skills for the kids.

Alpha men and alpha women compete too much, leaving neither happy. There can only be one King. Though, this matching can make for some good sex in the short term.

Beta men and beta women sometimes match. Though, I still hold that no woman is truly happy with a truly beta man. Usually, these guys have at least something going for them in terms of their communication style with the female. You will see this match working sometimes because many beta women, especially of lower attractiveness, are just happy to have someone and moreover someone who doesn't make them insecure for a variety of reasons. I'm a vocal non-fan of women with low self-esteem due to their never ending compromises and actions that are for nothing but to serve and preserve what self-esteem they have. They're bad in relationships and are thus natural leftovers for the beta male.

That leaves the unnatural alpha woman and the unnatural beta male as the other match. I think that this is the best match for both. The alpha female gets to be King, which is her strongest personality drive, and the beta male gets to have a boss - which makes him feel secure. In addition, many alpha women are attractive; this feeds the beta's low self-esteem (similar to how a beta female's self esteem is boosted by the alpha-ness of her man). He's less likely to run from the alpha female to serve his self esteem. Though, the alpha female will likely be sexually miserable in short order. If she's smart, she'll stick with him nevertheless.

That's my pet theory on ideal couples matching.
