Last summer, my buddy and I were walking around NYC on my birthday, killing time in the afternoon before we went out to dinner with some other friends that night.

So we're walking through a park and he says, "Dude, there's a girl on the bench over there that is definitely your type." I look, and sure enough, there is a gorgeous, petite blonde girl wearing yoga pants, talking on her cell phone (my buddy is into thicker girls). We sit down at an open table nearby, and I decide to wait for her to get off her phone. After about 5 minutes she hangs up, and starts walking toward us. As she gets nearby, I hold my hand up. "Hey." She pauses for a second and looks at me. I smile, and wave her over. "Come here." She walks over, smiling slightly. "Yeah?"

"Hey, I'm Dagonet. This is my buddy (name). It's actually my birthday, and we were just hanging out at the park here. But I noticed you and I wanted to say hi before you walked away." She blushes and smiles. "Hi, I'm Tomi."

At this point, my buddy, who is a little bit socially awkward, stands up and says "Uh, I gotta go find a bathroom, I'll be right back." We kind of laugh and he walks away.

So Tomi and I keep chatting. I ask what she had been up to, and she says she had just gotten done with work. I ask what she does, and she says, "I'm on Fox News." And I ask "like, as an intern?" And she says "No, I'm a host. Well, I just started doing segments." She explains that she had just done a video that got popular in which she lambasted President Obama for not using the phrase "radical Islamic terror."

I tell her that's cool, but that Fox News is too liberal for me. She laughs, thinking I was joking. I wanted to explain to her that I was a neo-reactionary who thought we should reinstate the monarchy, but I figured I'd let it slide. But I think I told her I was supporting Trump, and she said she was for Jeb Bush, I think. That should have told me everything I needed to know, but I was blinded by her good looks.

After that, we bullshit for a little bit longer. She says she lives in California, and I tease her that I thought I had finally gotten away from all those West Coast wannabe-celebrities. She never totally warmed up, and she told me she had to catch a plane in a little while. I asked for her number since I'd be back in CA soon, but she told me she had a boyfriend. She said I should follow her on Twitter (LOL). So I got her full name and looked her up later. I guess she was serious about having a boyfriend in the military.

Ultimate takeaway: She definitely has a thousand-cock stare, it seemed like she was the "perfect" girl on the outside but had a piece of her soul missing. Wouldn't be surprised if she has been passed around by a ton of guys (possibly even sexually abused when younger-- I've gotten that same vibe off of girls who had been through that). Anyway... WB.

Speaking of which, in Australia it's not uncommon for companies to have a "no changing tyres yourself" policy for work vehicles. You're supposed to just call the road-side service and stand there like a child, instead of just spending 10 minutes to swap it with the spare like a non-retarded person with a non-emaciated body.

If I ever have a company, the policy will be "if you get a puncture, and you're male, failing to change the tyre will be grounds for wearing a tutu for the rest of the week". No reason to interrupt work. Hell, I've driven to work with a snapped clutch cable before.

I have no problem with her saying this. She's an easy 8.5 or 9, is famous and has probably got a lot of money.

I think I did it right, later in my life I have done it more times together with a professional car mechanic who helped me on repairs of my personal car. It's really not a rocket science, although some mechanics like to portray this as something sophisticated to inflate the value of their trade.

There are people who will say that you need a certificated plumber to connect a washing machine or a certificated electrician to install a wall socket, but mostly those are plumbers and electricians who feel bad that their trade is a simple one and dissatisfied with the fact that these things can be done by almost everyone, so they want to undermine your confidence an look like important professionals like surgeons or engineers so you would pay them.
