The cost of purchasing an apartment in the city center of second tier Polish cities has dropped by about 25% since last summer. Crime?

Has anyone been following the prices in Germany? My hypothesis is that we will see "white flight" from German cities either eastward or to the US.
Parzival 路 2016-03-09 15:43:00 路 #8327
Prices rise. There is a lack of apartments and rooms. Even before the refugees because students and other people all moving to certain areas / cities in Germany. Because of all the eco laws its very expensive to build new houses and apartments. That's why the construction of living room was behind the need even before the refugees. Now it got worse. Less and less people can afford the rent.

Quote:In the northern Swedish town of Ostersund police women has warned not to go after dark alone on the road. Warning cause nine violent robberies in less than three weeks in the city with 45,000 inhabitants, writes British "Telegraph". It is believed that some of the attacks were carried out by foreign offenders. the perpetrators have been described as "foreign-looking".

Since the beginning appeared in Sweden several reports of refugees, the women had sexually harassed. It began when the Swedish police was accused in January to have covered up sexual assaults of refugees on women at a rock festival. Sweden tabloid "Expressen" wrote on Tuesday that women in Sweden have a sense of fear.

For her warning, the police were severely criticized.

I spent a couple of weeks in Ostersund in 2001.
It was almost entirely Swedish, perhaps a few people with Spanish blood(but who spoke Swedish) but otherwise very homogenous.
I remember it as a very tranquil place, still and quiet apart from the cackling of geese on the lake.
Even at that time, there was a marked difference to Stockholm and Gothenburg both of which had of course more non-Swedes.
It was a sleepy kind of place, but the people were polite and helpful and (once you got talking to them) quite friendly.
I got that feeling of 'social trust' in the place.
I never felt unsafe in any way up there, even when wandering around at 2am in the areas where the late night bars were.
Sure, there was a few drunken revellers shouting here and there, but generally harmless.
I did much of my European travelling in the mid to late nineties and the early two thousands so Multiculturalism was already upon us in Europe, but not to the same civilisationally threatening extent it is today.
As I said before, I'm wary of travelling to some of these beautiful places now as I don't want to sully my memories of them.
The exceptions would be the more far flung parts of Europe where the Globalists have yet to destroy, ie. much of Ireland, parts of Scotland/Wales, Portugal, Andaluc铆a, much of Switzerland, and large swatches of Scandinavia too I'd wager and most of Eastern Europe too of course.
Even some rural parts of France are still largely unenriched.

The morons in our government are seriously worried and, after conducting a training exercise with the army at the Greek border last week, now say they are ready to erect border fences at parts of our border with Greece. I don't believe their lying mouths even for a second but it's good to know that they are scared. Not of the refugees but of the inevitable backlash they will experience.
Parzival 路 2016-03-10 04:36:00 路 #8335
A big argument for taking all those so called refugees are economical reasons. That Germany need skilled workers for the future, that closing the borders would destroy the idea of Europa and would be expensive. We already know its nonsense.

http://www.zeit.de/wirtschaft/2016-03/fa...ls-phantom

Quote:The mere digitization will change the working world of the 21st century in a way that is recognizable at best rudimentary today. An increasing number of locations and automatic machines are replacing human labor. That alone will completely change and reduce the demand for skilled workers.

Quote:The Switzerland provides a prime example of how expensive can be the seemingly cheapest way. As in the 1960s lacked workers, guest workers were brought from abroad. With the result that a labor-saving modernization of production processes was omitted. Instead of using machines in many places continue to work with his hands. Was correspondingly small, labor productivity - that is, what could be created per hour of added value. Creeping Swiss industry lost its international competitiveness.

I did work in the field of digitization and how it will mostly change the work culture. About 40 % of the jobs we have now will be not needed any more in the future and those we need are jobs where you need high skills and be able to transfer your knowledge. The Germans with no jobs are already the ones with no education or that are not able to transfer their skills to new jobs.
Germany did this mistake already in the 60s and 70s with the turkish workers and we face massive integration problems with them.

http://www.welt.de/wirtschaft/article153...ollen.html

Quote:In the worst case, permanent controls at Europe's internal borders Germany would cost up to 15 billion euros per year, a team led by Gabriel Felbermayr has calculated. Every German citizen would be an increase of up to 182 euros poorer year in one of Europe no longer open borders.

The cost for the reception and care of refugees were recently estimated at 20 billion euros a year.

They talk about controls, not close the borders. A big difference. So a truck driver has to wait 20 minutes instead of just driving form one country to an other. Also for the ones that care about the real suffering of refugees from war, it just mean that at the border they get their documents checked. In January 77 % of the people that got to Germany did not have legal papers. We could select quite a lot of fake refugees, terrorist and criminals just by bring back border controls. A country should keep the power to control who is coming. This don't mess up the laws and rights of free trade inside the EU or the rights of the Citizens.
But to select who is coming will reduce many social and criminal issues.

Quote:There were strong words, the Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche in autumn was the coming to Germany Refugees: Of course, not every one of them was a brilliant engineer or mechanic. But who leave behind his entire life, was highly motivated.

But so far, Daimler has not a single refugee permanently employed. And so are the Stuttgarter not alone.

The 30 largest listed companies in Germany have brought since August 2015 only a few refugees in jobs, apprenticeships or internships. This has resulted in a survey of the ARD political magazine "Report Mainz" among all DAX companies.

Only two corporations, Beiersdorf and Vonovia have, by its own account since hired refugees firmly. Beiersdorf is a temporary permanent position. Vonovia explained without mentioning a specific number, the company has "first refugees from Syria" busy since early February.

So even the big German companies that push for the pro refugee agenda that they are all skilled workers realize now, they are not.
Even more the economical and political elites seem to realise that you can not trade and switch humans like stuff. They are in total deny of culture, values, tradition, moral and personality.

When your company start to use machines instead of human labour, those people that lose their jobs will not all become IT specialist out of sudden. Humans can not re-program themselves all the time for a changing work demand. Furthermore the boundaries of culture and its different shape of behaviour and values is seem by them as not important. What take me to some surprise because all big companies also produce outside of Germany and they did already encounter that. When you start a factory in China, Vietnam or India, you will face different things. They will not act like your used German workers. Education and culture is different. This is nothing new for big German companies and still they jump on this big pro refugee wave by ignoring all common sense.
But faced with the reality they don't hire those people because they can't use them.

Germans mix immigration of skilled people with refugees and asylum seekers. How arrogant is it, to say you help war refugees just with the intention to drill them into your future skilled worker? On the other side you have strange immigration laws that make it kind of hard for people with real skills to work in Germany. Why do get 3th world people free language and job training but student from a foreign university will have a hard time to get a working visa in Germany?

Why do we don't control who comes to Germany?
Why don't we select those who have a right to stay and those that don't?
Why do we spend billions on integration but then Merkel claims those people have to go home after their war is over?
Why do big companies cry for a lack of workers but don't invest in job training of their own employees?
Why do we need integration into the social welfare system when its already at the peak and will blow up soon?
Why do Germany need low skilled immigrants when the digitalization will reduce 40 % of jobs and the rest will be high skilled?

For the image that Germans are logical, practical and smart, there are quite a lot of stupid actions out there by the elites.

Quote:Much of the coming to Germany Refugees has a newspaper report that no valid identity papers when entering. In January, 77 percent of all recognized by the federal police in the border area were migrants does not have sufficient personal documents, said a spokeswoman for the Interior Ministry of the "Berliner Morgenpost".

http://www.welt.de/politik/ausland/artic...linge.html

Quote:According to the European Commission, 60 percent of refugees have no right to protection.

Both numbers are just for january but they give an impression that the elites are aware whats going on.

Well Daimer is seen as a big and decent employer. When you work there, you kind of made it. Good salary, holidays and stuff like that. Even for simple workers. On the other hand I know a girl that did study with me, she did an internship there and considered it boring. You only do your task, they say they want you to be creative but at the end just accept her way of doing. People compare each other on a bench mark, even interns get compared like that. Look my intern has this and that qualification and this stay abroad. The human value do not really matter. Thats her opinion. So when you did an intern at Daimler, its a big name and nice to get a certificate there. At the moment I would worry more when I would work for Siemens or Volkswagen.

I can agree with the point that a rich and strong country like Germany take real refugees from wars and help them. This is a non economical point of view, its a human one. The strong help the weak. But I still don't get why we have to take everyone without check their papers and intentions. Even more when many of them have no legal right to stay, nor do they get deported. Some can not get deported because they have no papers. Furthermore I prefer a solution down in the area with camps. I'm glad and proud about the other European countries, they stand strong for Europe. Just by create enough pressure with those people in Greece Merkel is forced to do something. Its a way cheaper to help countries like Jordan to build up camps then to bring them all to Europe. Also the Saudis should take those people because they are the biggest troublemaker down there.

We all went to kindergarten.

Imagine you are teaching a kindergarten. You come to class and someone writes on the board "RVF SUCKS". You look at the class and everyone is edging in their seats. Eyes are darting around. Someone is in trouble.

What do you do?

Do you quietly erase the comments and start talking about math?

Or do you reprimand the class, and cancel recess for everyone unless they offer up the perpetrator?

The refugee crisis in germany is a lot like a badly managed kindergarten.

The students must adapt to the culture of the classroom, and they themselves make sure they adapt to it because otherwise everyone will be punished. It is not " fair " but it works, and something similar should be done for the refugees.

Quote:Austrian Interior Minister Johanna Mikl-Leitner them will now take hope. It sends out a clear signal that there will be no chance for them to draw on their own in the north of Europe. "My position is clear: the Balkan Route will be closed permanently and indeed," she said of the "world". "The uncontrolled mass influx via this route must be history."

She speaks of what has long since become a fact. the Slovenian Government Since Wednesday turned back strictly to the Schengen rules at the borders. Croatia, Serbia and Macedonia agreed with this decision. Other already consider a stronger border protection, the refugees should seek new routes. Europe is closing.
Mikl-Leitner sees an "alliance of reason" at work, together with the desire to bring back order to the last refugee chaos in Europe. Such is the purpose also of the European Commission, the EU interior ministers will discuss this Thursday. By the end of border controls in Europe will fall again.

To enable this, Greece is stopped at a consistent protection of the EU's external borders. All refugees should be registered no later than properly from mid-May. The Schengen States will also end the "policy by Winkens" of refugees in the north and apply the existing rules.
Mikl-Leitner advocates to send a clear signal to the refugees that they can not beat on your own through Europe. "If Europe consistently signaled that there is no uncontrolled mass influx into Central Europe, then the pressure to migrate from Turkey to Greece will fall," she said.

Anything else would mean that more people come. "If further false hopes, then thousands of people will continue to make their way -. With the expectation to continue to choose the most economically attractive country"

Austria did work hard the last weeks to close the borders with the other european countries. Who could guess that little Austria that was before that the loyal dog to Merkel could be able to do this.
Well they fear the next election, the FP脰 is a right wing party that push for a harder line against refugees and immigrants. So if the now government don't act they will lose.

We live in a world where stating the flipping obvious makes you a fascist. When Der Spiegel says 'more than a third' they mean 'about half'. The likes of the BBC have actually reported this but its tucked away on their website and well.. not really reported at all.. I know pointing this out makes me a fascist etc. but when this becomes more well known I will be able to reduce it to a phrase like- the 'West Balkan Exodus', shrug, and then blame our government for not doing more to help these poor people who actually live just over the border from Hungary. Hey presto - instant Halo restored..

Up until yesterday I used to think I was as knowledgeable as I could be on the impact of immigration in to the UK. I met someone through my work that changed that. We were talking and she got to explaining about the place she came from, which is Cambridgeshire, a county in England.

Most of you will know of the world famous Cambridge university, which is the main town/city of the county, and the capital of the county. It is situated in a region called East Anglia, which today is primarily an agricultural region. Cambridgeshire is home to 'The Fens', which is a large area of fertile land, which has been irrigated with dikes and canals for many hundreds of years. A great deal of the crops require labour intensive harvesting, which is seasonal work. One of the main towns that deals with this is called Wisbech(pronounced wiz-beech), it has a population of approx. 16,000, historically they have taken the seasonal harvest work. It never paid well but it was on their doorstep.

Over the last ten years or so, the area has changed massively. With the free movement of labour, Russian 'gang-masters' now employ thousands of Latvians and Lithuanians(somewhat ironic, leave the FSU, travel to the UK and be a slave of a Russian, it's progress! Thanks EU) and many of them live in ditches. Yes, I'm serious they live in a ditch like a hobo, thousands of them. If they are lucky, a dozen of them will be able to rent a house and sleep 4-6 in a room. Much of the workforce is employed illegally, there are night-workers in food processing factories earning the same as day workers. It's been going on for years right under everyone's nose, and it will continue because too many people are making nice money from it. The lack of work for the 16,000 natives is not a problem. The plethora of social problems caused by thousands of illegal workers in a small rural town is not a problem(many of them are alcoholics and live on cheap vodka).

I was quite shocked to hear how endemic and widespread this was. I knew there was a small problem with illegal workers in some of these agricultural areas where a seasonal workforce is required, but I never realised it was actually a big problem that is being ignored, and/or covered up.

The conclusion of our conversation was that the EU has, despite being an apparent champion of equality, human rights and other "right-on" ideas, is just creating massive financial iniquity. One of the main reasons for the migration, is the economic factor. Simply change your location and become richer, it's like the original American Dream, but without the hard work. The EU brings poor lowly developed countries in to its fold, and the bankers' buddies have a new potential workforce who will work harder for less than the entitled native Euros.

The other surprising thing about the conversation was that I initially read the woman as being a 'rapefugees welcome' type. She was early 40s recently divorced(potential feminist), practising Christian, community do-gooder type. She was staunchly anti-EU and against the migration.

What was not surprising was the negative social and cultural impact. This is where the seeds of conflict are being sown. I don't agree with Samseau about the level of conflict that will ensue, but I agree that it is inevitable. I don't think it matters that people disagree on something like that, as both can accept that the immigration has to stop, and that nations have to consolidate to survive.

I would like to see nationalist orientated politicians from around the globe become more united. Are any Euro/UK politicians(who are anti-EU) openly supporting Trump? They are on the same page politically: build a strong nation to survive and prosper, don't let bankers and corporations dictate policy, reward workers. It would galvanise their movements and raise profiles and levels of credibility.

@GT:

That's good, but it's a token gesture in my eyes.

Nationalist orientated politics does not mean nations, or groups of nations, can't have agreements and so on.

The problems arise when homogeneity is forced upon societies, at various levels, socially economically etc.. Perhaps the amalgamation of entities currently controlling Europe think that humans are adaptable enough to go through with it?

The European Union is as big a mistake as the Soviet Union was, and is as doomed to eventual failure. Such a project will always lead to Balkanization eventually, just like it did in the former Yugoslavia. Look, Charles de Gaulle once famously quipped, in his frustration over the difficulty in governing France, "How can you govern a country which has two hundred and forty-six varieties of cheese?" ... and de Gaulle only had France to worry about. The elites are being wilfully ignorant of the impossibility of the EU project because they are trying to satisfy globalist assholes like Henry Kissinger who once famously quipped, "The problem with Europe is... it doesn't have a phone number." Yeah well, it did just fine without one before fuckstick Kissinger came along and it'll do just fine without one after he's gone. Europe doesn't need a God damned phone number. It's just got far too many varieties of cheese.

Germany's interior minister has said stolen files detailing hundreds of recruits to the Islamic State militant group can be assumed to be genuine.

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-eas...49?SThisFB

Quote:Files obtained by German, UK and Syrian opposition media are said to identify IS recruits from at least 40 countries.
Some 22,000 names appear to be listed but most may be duplicates.
Names, addresses, phone numbers and skill sets are listed on official-looking forms.

Quote:One file refers to a German recruit who used to be "in sales" and now "wants to be a suicide bomber", while another would-be suicide bomber (nationality not given) formerly worked as a "tobacconist in a restaurant".

This should be a big boost to authorities who are paid by Europeans to protect them. What it should mean, is that these peoples beds are empty come sunrise, the jihadis no where to be found.

What it will likely mean, is that Europeans are told to exercise caution and stop being "racist".
