Last minute dates?
Anyone have any thoughts on asking a girl if she wants to meet up later that evening rather than arranging something more definate for the following week?

Does one give the impression that you're a non needy, indifferent busy guy with an unexpected vacancy in his busy schedule rather than the other?

Usually a bad move unless this is a fresh pickup and you somehow transitioned into "what are you up to" convo and she replies something along the line of she's practically bored as fuck and you can try to bounce her to a cafe or bar. If this is a followup instead of a new pickup, you can try do a probe text and feel her mood. If she's very listless in her reply you can bet she has no interest in going out with you or even talking to you at the moment. You need to always give the impression you've got shit to accomplish or other girls to bang. I kinda see where you're coming from but even if you have unexpected vacancy you're putting to much value into her regardless. Just my 2cents.

You really have to go by "feel". (so to speak)

"Does one give the impression that you're a non needy, indifferent busy guy with an unexpected vacancy in his busy schedule rather than the other?"

I really think there is a paranoia out there with all this "non-needy" vs "needy" stuff.

I can appreciate the concern when someone is a beginner to this stuff, but as long as you don't act like a dork or a beta, you should be alright. This focus on "technique" is way overblown.

Your efforts are way better spent on Style, instead of technique.

I can tell you that guys that really swoop girls don't care about this crap.

If the iron is hot, swoop the girl.

If you can tell it needs more work, schedule out the swoop.

Its really that simple.

I am 100% with G on this one.
I have a girl recently that is a very attractive Brazilian (HB7.5)that I tried to talk to on a social networking site. Everytime I would email her she would send me one word answer so I stopped talking to her. A week later she starts sending me all these hearts and love tags. I finaly emailed her this week and said that we need to stop this playing around and go out for a drink. She wrote me back "I Agree call me" and gave me her number. This morning I txt her to invite her out. I told her I have a lot to do today but maybe we could meet up. She came back with the excuse that she had a bday party to go to. I then txt her "cool maybe another time". Funny thing is about 15 min later she txt me back saying "Did you mean to send me that txt? I think you sent it to the wrong person". I was a bit confused and I asked her what did she mean. Then she tells me "you said YOU were free and we could meet up later". I thought for a sec and said "well i guess that is an invitation" . She the says "well that is what you wrote right". So now we are going out together this evening.

If that was confusing- this is how I broke it down. Normaly I would sweat the girl to until she gave in or rejected me. This time, from the first time I emailed her after a few one word answer emails I wrote her off but didn't burn my bridge with her. She then came flirting back. Then when she gave me an excuse in her txt, I acted as though I didn't care and MAYBE next time we could do something. She then came blazing back.

So if a girl is "really" into you, your last minute dates will not be a problem. As long as you get your style down. You don't have to be a jerk to show "Alpha" traits. Just focus on being smooth and nonchalant everything will work out if she is into you.
