I was reading "Bang" in late 2012 ish. What really got me over my anxiety to approach was the part where he asks the reader to imagine the worst things that could possibly happen. Those things had already happened to me in DC at that point anyway so I figured I had nothing to lose and went on one of those kamikaze nights where I just said whatever I felt like without regard to the consequences.

By the end of the night I was convinced that it didn't matter much what you say to them, if they like you you can say whatever you like, if they dont like you then nothing you can say will work. I had more luck in my approaches when I stepped out of my regular personality and acted obnoxiously. I'd like to think I've calibrated it a bit better now.

Yeah, but there is some truth to it.


Surely, we do not want to get caught up with fatalism or shit that we cannot control directly; however, we should all recognize various obstacles and that there are a variety of factors affecting our gaming success or our bargaining power or from where we are starting.

good looks
wealth
social circle

Some of these can be controlled in the long term or cosmetically, but some of them are more longer term prospects.

Frequently, we can find areas of advantages in some weaknesses that we have in order to exploit, but we do have to contend with some social and physical reality phenomenon that are very powerful forces.

I like this. I'm definitely a newb here. I've noticed I can say whatever I want to 6.5 and lower, and they don't even give a shit. Just want the D. It's not the biggest lesson and maybe not even red pill, but I just realized the following has stuck to my unconscious for some time.

I would say 1) Girls are much kinkier than guys and enjoy being submissive the vast majority of the time, use that to your advantage. One thing I'm starting to understand but still trying to internalize.

Our self esteem and sense of self worth are based on our interactions with other people: how they perceive us and how successful we are in getting what we want. Applied to game, the more beautiful girls we can get, the better we feel about ourselves. The problem with this is that it makes us dependent on girls, their feelings and opinions, and even vulnerable to manipulation.

What's going to happen when we get old and less attractive to the opposite sex? I know there are men out there who get beautiful girls even in their 50s, but let's be real here: there will come a point for all of us when girls when girls will not longer be attracted to us.

The solution is to develop a sense of self worth independent of game results. At this point, I don't know how to do it, but this is something I need to work on. Maybe it will come naturally with age. I also believe that even at a younger age, if your self esteem is high regardless of success or lack thereof, it will help you become more successful.

Regarding your point 2 above (bolded by me for ease of reference), or any of your other points, I am not attempting to suggest that you are wrong about any of it, even if some of the points that you are making are not within my experiences.

Whether you are correct or not in your various theories, there is going to be some potential truth in what you are saying and some evidence of such, otherwise, you would likely not be able to reasonably come to such conclusions.

I believe that I sufficiently understood your point, and I did not assume that you were necessarily referring to one night stand situations, concerning just meeting a girl and her coming to her first impressions and inclinations.

When I am mentioning the back and forths, I am suggesting that there can be a lot at play regarding whether a girl is inclined to bang or not (even if it could take her several weeks before she follows through with it). I don't recall how old you are Brodiaga, but I am in my late 40s, and certainly over the years I have had to adapt my game and my style based on my age.

So, yeah, age will also depend, to some extent, where you are at (geographically and culturally), and then what the competition is like and the poole of available chicks.

Guys are lucky to some extent because looks are not as important to girls, but still the various attributes you have and how you play it is going to need to be adapted as you get older, and likely the approaches you take and what you can get away with...

What happens to be your age Brodiaga?

I've had the same thoughts as you. My self esteem has usually been pretty high. It wasn't until I hit a few rough patches in my life and wasn't out interacting with my social circle or new people, girls, that I then realized how much my self-esteem seemed to be tied into how well I was doing with all the people I interacted with on a daily basis.

As I get older(29) and after doing much more introspection and research into how to overcome what is clinically considered my "false self" I realize that being comfortable with not being out there in public and instead spending more time developing my inner self, is making me that much more aware and able to be someone of substance when I am back out there engaging the world. When I feel sure of myself in certain situations after getting to know my real true self it somehow has created this confidence that is congruent with my internal dialogue that is running independent of what somebody or some group thinks of myself.

It's actually freeing in a sense that Nearly all of my energy is spent being congruent with myself and not impressing and also forces me to be more present and pay actual attention to the clues people are droppping around you almost constantly. Taking those clues and using them to your advantage, now that to me is what it means to control a group or command your presence. Strong Inner Game = Strong Outer Frame.

Fair points all, and we agree in most places. You say it's not totally black/white, okay, let's expand it to 5 possibilities which cover all the bases -- Red, Orange, Yellow, Pale Green, and Green.

I agree that some girls are more of a waste of time than others, and sometimes a guy is able to determine that early on, and other times, it may be a bit more ambiguous.

Fair points all, and we agree in most places. You say it's not totally black/white, okay, let's expand it to 5 possibilities which cover all the bases -- Red, Orange, Yellow, Pale Green, and Green.

To spend anytime on the first 2 is a waste, in terms of potential benefits vs time cost. An orange girl might be, say, a flat-out golddigger, so it's not impossible but you don't want to.
Yellow can be convinced so if she's hot enough and single and willing to drink with you then it's your judgement call. Game on.

Yes, in my view, the five categories would be a lot more helpful in framing the situation and acknowledging quite a few variations in chicks.

Whether a guy uses two categories, five categories or 100 categories, the guy develops his own framework and approach, and ultimately, a lot of RVF guys are going to be consciously considering the situation a bit more in terms of self improvement.

As you seem to acknowledge, guys are going to have different approaches and experiences and world views that will cause him to categorize the girls and to figure out whether it is worth his time to attempt to game them.

The devil's in the details of application, but I think that you have reframed the situation with considerable clarity. Thanks for that.

During your first approach, or while on a date, ask yourself.. "what do I need to do right now so I'm not kicking myself later?"

This helps me rediscover my balls and keep things on the right track.
