We all love Donald Trump. The Donald Trump thread on this forum has over a million views, and over twelve thousand posts.

But wouldn't it be great if there was a way to help Trump win, instead of just posting about him?

Not many people actually volunteer for campaigns, and for good reasons. If you want to volunteer to knock on doors, or put together yard signs, or even join a telephone bank, it's a big commitment. You have to drive down to wherever the campaign headquarters is. You have to find parking. You have to go through orientation. It can easily kill whole evenings, or even whole days. Since Trump fans tend to have jobs and social lives, it can be hard to find the time.

But now there's a new way you can help Make America Great again: TrumpTech's internet-based Callfire call bank. There's zero time commitment, and all you need is a phone and a computer.

Here's how it works:

1.) Trump's campaign will send you a link to a signup form via email. You'll give them some simple information about yourself, and set up a login and password.

2.) You'll use this login and password to go to a site called CallFire, which will ask you for your phone and give you a selection of calling campaigns to join. Campaigns in this context are things like, "Iowa - High Priority Reminders" or "New Hampshire Get Out the Vote!".

3.) You'll click on a campaign, and a second later you'll get a call on your cellphone. You'll pick up the phone and Callfire will automatically connect you to a potential voter.

4.) The callfire site will display a short, simple script for you to read. Here's a sample.
Hello, my name is Samuel and I'm a volunteer for Donald Trump.
Election day is this Wednesday, so when you go to the polls, remember that Donald Trump is the only candidate who has a gold-plated yacht and married a supermodel.
This call paid for by Donald J. Trump For President Inc. at http://www.donaldjtrump.com

5.) One of a few things will happen when you read this script. 70% of the time, the caller will hang up on you. 5% of the time, they'll get mad and swear at you. 20% of the time, they'll tell you how much they love the Donald. And 5% of the time, something fun will happen.

6.) You'll check a box on the website, saying whether it was a live call, an answering machine, or you got hung up on. Then you'll hit the "next call" button, and the system will automatically connect you to another voter.

A call takes about 30 seconds, maximum. And any time you want to stop, you can just hit the "End Session" button and log back in later. Only got 10 minutes a day? That's 20 calls you can make. Can't do anything one day because you're busy? No problem. There's zero commitment required. Try it and find out you don't like it? You don't have to ever do it again.

No gas costs, no driving, no dealing with any weirdos at a campaign HQ. It's the easiest method of volunteering imaginable.

Unfortunately, Trump's volunteer section on his website isn't quite where it needs to be, so if you try to volunteer via the website there's no guarantee they'll contact you back. If you're interested, send me a PM with your email address and I'll ask the campaign to send you a sign-up form. (It can be a burner email, and you don't need to give me any information about yourself beyond the email address.)

My favorite fun incident so far was a guy who seemed to think that Donald Trump was sitting right next to me, and was very insistent that I pass him a message. (He thought Trump was being too mean.) Since I didn't want to disappoint the guy, I told him that I would give Donald the next message the next time I saw him.

Lastly, I've been told that top callers will receive prizes of some sort. Maybe Trump hair gel? A signed copy of Art of the Deal? Who knows? (I don't get any prizes for recruiting you guys, I just thought it was something the rest of the forum would be interested in.)

I'm not in the USA, otherwise I'd try this. It sounds very fun!

Question: what happens when someone starts talking to you, no matter their tone? Are you allowed to chat with them or you have to hang up within a preset time limit?
And most of all, what do these calls actually accomplish? What's the theory behind them? Is anyone really persuaded by someone calling and saying "hi, candidate X promise to take care of veterans"?

Captain Shane - in all sincerity and no snark now that the Trump Triumph cavalcade has left New Hampshire to tee up SC, NV and Super Tuesday (I have strains of Good Bye Super Tuesday playing in my ears to parody all of Trumps GOP and DEM competition - maybe I will write up some humorous lyrics). Anyway this callfire system sounds like an easy way to keep fighting for Mr. Trump... I was a ward coordinator - signs, Tee Shirts and bucking up supporters against DNC and GOPe attack ads and know I am good for at least a half dozen votes if not more for Mr. Trump.

Therefore as I said with no snark very interested in any scripts you might suggest that would be more effective.

My buddy volunteered and the script is an outline and there is no call quota as you are not being paid but they do track those called by either address for a friendly door knock or cell phone and email for a friendly call and then they track where the most receptive folks were for get out the vote basics, do they need any literature or signs, will they need a ride to the polls, are they leaning Trump but undecided all the basics of getting a sound "ground game" in place for proper follow up...

Bottom line is the script is flexible so if you have a better script and can explain why it is better for our reference that would be a huge help and contribution!

The primary purpose is Get Out the Vote. Not everyone follows politics, and not everyone remembers when the elections are. Is it effective? Well, look at Ted Cruz. No one likes Ted Cruz, but he won in Iowa on the strength of his GOTV efforts. When people talk about a "ground game", and how important it is, this is what they're talking about.

As for the calls themselves, you've got a lot of leeway. Chat as long as you want, or move on to the next caller. You're a volunteer, not a paid employee, so as long as you're not being an autistic weirdo you can do what you like.

Nope. You're not actually dialing anyone, the callfire software is doing the dialing and then connecting you. No one will see your number, and you don't give them your full name.

I would say something along the lines of "today is the day to get out and vote, if you have a candidate you want to vote for, be sure that you go vote" if it is the day of that state's primary. Or if the primary is coming up, "the primary is 3 days away, remember to vote on that day". Keep it simple. Trump is at an advantage as the front runner because the more people that go out and vote, the better he will do.

I won't deny it, 20 years ago, I registered as a democrat and when they would call, it sometimes sounded like they were trying to get me to vote for Diane Feinstein or Barbara Boxer or whoever(I never voted for either of those hags) and was ultimately the reason why I left the party and registered as independent.

I don't really have an exact script, but telling someone to vote for him because he has a supermodel wife won't work.

Start off by asking for just 60 seconds of their time. It'll take more, but they won't know that. And then just ask questions, intelligence is the key.

Before you even talk about Trump, I'd ask:

Have you made up your mind about who you're voting for?
What is you're number one issue this coming election?
Would you consider yourself moderate/conservative/very conservative?
What are your thoughts on the economy?
Etc

"It sounds like Trump is the perfect candidate for you." Go for soft close about trump after your questions.

Rejection is more than likely.

Deflect with "I hear what you're saying, but do you like the Idea?"

Blah, blah, blah

"Exactly the true beauty of the campaign is..." Go for harder close on Trump with list of facts.

Rejection is still likely.

Go for hard close on Trump, appeal to emotions and close with "If you give Trump just one chance, the only regret you'll have is that we didn't vote for him 4 years ago."


You get the idea. Gather intelligence, run first pattern, deflect objection, run second pattern, deflect objection, run 3rd pattern, on and on and on.

I think thats a great script if you can feel out who youre talking to. Its fucking funny and different from the same shit they probably get day after day. Whether or not you change their mind, that will be remembered.

Yeah it can be a funny line to throw in one of your patterns. But to have that as the only thing, will never work unless they were already Trump fans. There's no way you can feel someone out by just saying "hello".

Gathering the intelligence through questions, that's where you feel out the person.

Well yeah you obviously wouldnt lead with that. But we're on a game forum, I don't think too many people here would have problems asking a few general questions and then taking the conversation where they want it.

Yeah, the overall script could be "optimized" and made better but at the end of the day you're just shooting the shit with some random people. I don't want to come off as a salesmen. Just a cool dude who likes Trump and if you don't, thats fine.

And I know I'm in the minority but if I just got back from overseas and didn't know anything about the election, that line would go a long way towards getting my support.

I heard it was a hair cut from his stylist. And appropriate hair coloring to match his hair color.
