On the sixth of February one of the first global meetups of the Roosh forum/Return of Kings occurred in Sydney, Australia. It was not endorsed by Roosh in any way due to security concerns but still held as a sign of solidarity between a renegade group of forum members and reader of ROK.

This is the first hand account from one of the group leaders..

Quote:Before 8pm I arrived earlier to reconnoitre the general area. It became clear that the original meetup space, the ice cream shop, was not going to be ideal because there were too many tourists, and the crowds could possibly hide a SJW ambush. I quickly looked around and emailed instructions to move the rendezvous point somewhere close by, but isolated enough so you can make individuals apart.

The first participant (let's call him BlackHat) came around 8:05pm. We exchanged the passphrase, shook hands, then I instructed him to wait for me back at the ice cream shop - if there was an SJW ambush, I didn't want it easier for them to come down on us grouped up.

I sat there for another five minutes, then ten... I noticed another well-dressed asian guy walking up, followed two other guys... plus a girl in a red dress. This, coupled witht he fact that one of the other males were sporting a large hipster beard, set off alarm bells in my head.

I observed them quietly as they stopped at the renewed rendezvous point. I saw them split up - the bearded man walked towards me, then right past me... then a few seconds later doubled back to me and uttered the passphrase.

At this point my heard was pumping. But I stayed calm - I had sunglasses and 10 cotton balls in my mouth to disguise my appearance. I just naturally took out my phone, showed him the time, and he walked away.

I sat there for another few moments, heart pumping. I observed them regroup again. The asian guy was checking his phone again...

It was time to leave. I got up and walked away, and picked up BlackHat. Told him to follow me. I'm not sure if i was able to disguise the panic in my voice.

After ten minutes of walking I felt safe enough to slow down and reconsider the situation - As far as I could tell, we dodged a bullet. Unfortunately, it seems the first Sydney ROK meeting would only be between two men. However, it was possible that we could group up with another gathering that I was aware of from PMing another RVF member.

In the meantime, we were safely hidden amongst the crowded rabble in one of the most beautiful venues in the city - Opera Bar, underneath the Sydney Opera House, overlooking the Sydney Harbour Bridge.





We were just two men, but we drank and shot the shit extensively over a multitude of topics. For the both of us, perhaps it was the first time we felt truly comfortable letting our guards down to say whatever was on our minds, without fear of judgement.

As we drank, the asian guy from the possible infiltrator group kept trying to message me. I made it clear why we had chosen to leave him and his group behind:







After reading this report /thread-53619...pid1213300 it seems they were genuine. However I do not regret taking evasive action given the current hostile climate.

Some hours later I received a message from the second Sydney meeting group. I arranged for us to meet at a second venue close by.

Eventually we meet. The first Sydney ROK meetup ultimately was composed of five men.



We were a varied and diverse gathering. Three of us could be said to own their own businesses. We were from completely different backgrounds and work industries. Some were more interested in the political discussion, others balanced it out with conversation about game and the nature of women.

We sat, drank and chatted until 2AM in the morning. We exchanged numbers and promised to meet again in a month's time.

In conclusion - Our meeting was a resounding success, despite the SJW lynch mobs and possible risks of infiltration. I look forward to our next meeting.

I still don't get why, even after reading the other thread, the guy bought a girl along? It was made very obvious to not do so.

Seeing that all these other meetings went ahead makes me wish we'd continued with the Melbourne one.

There were actually two Sydney meetups. In the wake of a few cancellations due to fear and the events described above we all joined together to form the one large group. The accounts above were written by one of the group leaders (not me) who went to extensive measures to make sure this went off without a hitch.

For guys who have never posted pictures before, upload or email the picture to your computer and open it with MSPaint. Then use the resize feature, 20-25%. Lastly, it's better to use the attachment option within the full edit / reply screen so at a later date you can remove if needed (usercp allows you to manage all attachments).

Agreed. Even if a member has good intentions, if they can't follow instructions they are a liability.

Agreed. Even if a member has good intentions, if they can't follow instructions they are a liability.

I simply can't understand how someone fails to understand a few simple instructions. I mean it wasn't like they had to learn and recite a chapter from the King James Bible.
