Been getting more numbers off of Okcupid then I do usually. Unfortunately, just like with getting numbers with real world approaches, most of them go nowhere. Typically what happens is the girl will text me first after I give her my cell via messages on Okcupid. She'll be super enthusiastic and friendly and open to meeting up down the line. When I text her a few days later after the initial text exchange she basically goes poof with no warning. It's giving me flashbacks to what old school Mystery Method stuff about how even if you impress a girl in the club and get her all pumped up and excited and get her digits but when she goes home (without you) and wakes up the next day she'll start to have second guesses. I'm guessing it might be a better idea to push for a meet up right away during that first text change instead of just chatting aimlessly back and forth but of course the girl could still bail before the arranged meet up. I don't really see any solution to this though so the only thing you can do is be stoic and accept that girls will always be flakey (which you can't control) but to cultivate an attitude (which you can control) where you won't let it affect you.

As for the weird messages from girls you guys been getting, one girl I was texting with was talking about how she had been sexually assaulted before even though I had only just got her number the night before. I hit her up again the week later asking if she was free to hang out any day that week and she responded with "I just got out of therapy but I'll let you know". This girl has gone poof but I'm wondering if that was for the better and that I've dodged a bullet there. Another girl was talking to me about how she just had her first panic attack. I don't know about you guys but it seems like these days I'm see a pretty high rate of mentally damaged chicks under 25 whether online or in real life. Wutang, I registered at OKC two days ago. I didn't do online game for about 7 years or so. Lately following this thread here and there I pushed myself to give it a try...

I at first set the age range between 24 and 28 and I was astouned how consumed/washed up the bigger part of them looked. And some girls I messaged wrote me back in a very aggressive tone so that I didn't saw any light at the end of the tunnel. Some girls have sheer catalogues of requirements listed in their profiles that made me squirm with vicarious embarrassment.

Setting the age range back to 19-22 helped a lot. I noticed that the responses I got were a way more friendly and more often you could catch a glimpse of energetically behaviour.

Met a Korean-American divorced single mother doctor yesterday. Am I mad? I mostly just use okcupid to find girls from other countries here in the states and search by languages spoken, whether it is South America or Eastern Europe. I started talking to a Russian girl on OKC and it turns out she isn't actually local, but in a small town in Russia. I have considered visiting Ukraine or Russia to try to find a wife and give up the game and start a family.

The girl I've been talking to on email the past week says all I have to do is say the word and she will come visit me here in the states. I was astonished that she was so eager to fly halfway around the world. She is 28, teaches music to children and does not own a smart phone and likes to cook. She does not even own a computer, she uses her friend's computer to send emails.

The only thing, she does not have skype, or any sort of way to talk to me on the phone, we have just been writing emails. I just emailed her to go ahead and come and see how it goes. Have I lost my mind? As for why she is unmarried, she is in a small town, doesn't like her dating prospects locally, is a schoolteacher and doesn't meet many men in her day to day life. If she was in the west, would likely be getting hit on all the time. It sounds like she is husband hunting, wants an american man so she can relocate to the states.

Okay, so maybe she's feministy. What "modern" professional Western woman these days isn't? Doesn't mean she's automatically a SJW out for blood. I would have listened to her talk about the film and asked her what specific reasons she liked it. You find out about her and why she thinks the things she does and where her philosophies lie. In the meantime she's left with the sense that you know, actually care about her and her life. Women usually have that as a bit of a requirement for sex, even for a one night stand.

Once you're face to face with her in the field there's no huge rush. If she goes into a diatribe about how all men are pigs you can always pay your check and bounce at that point. I dated a cute Mexican girl that was 28 and seemed like she'd be a solid prospect if I decided to turn in my player card. The one thing that nagged me was why the hell wasn't she married. When I asked she gave similar reasons as the ones you listed. Turns out she was lazy, didn't like to listen, and didn't know how to cook. All of those are major deal breakers for Mexican men. Always do your homework on a girl who is close to 30 and unmarried, especially one that hails from a culture where people marry young. Usually it's a telling sign that there's something off with her.

One of the few advantages of living in New England rather than Old England: the weather here is absolutely abysmal a good six months out of the year. Big snowstorms can start rolling in as early as late October, in December and January the temperature can fall well below freezing even without wind chill - frostbite in minutes. February you can often expect a storm a week - last year they all hit on weekends. Sometimes it snows into April. And then the spring is often dismal and rainy, like a London winter.

And then the summer is hot and humid as hell. June and September are usually pretty nice. Wait, why does anyone live here again?

If the girls stayed home with Netflix every time it snowed a couple inches, they'd never do anything. The government spends a huge amount of money on snow removal - sometimes they ship equipment overnight by rail and truck to Washington and points south if it looks like they're going to be under-equipped. The crews are usually hard working and on-point getting it cleared and the roads are often good to go just hours after the snow ends. Yep I thought of all of this. I had her write down "eradicator ♥" and take a photo of it so at least I knew it was her in the photo. But it did get even more sketchy today, she says she is in love with me. I've been emailing her about a week, and not every day, and not sending long emails or anything, just basic messages. I think it is still possible she is just after a USA husband to get out of Russia and sees me as a winning lottery ticket. The Russian girls that I have dated in the usa said they had to win a lottery of sorts to get a visa to stay and work and live in the states. Regarding mindset, the best way to get into a relationship, paradoxically, is not looking for one in this first place. You're taking auditions. Continue dating girls, seeing other girls on the side, live an exciting life, and one will eventually push for commitment on your terms (because she's asking).

More actionable advise. Stop online dating. Join meet up groups (my dad met his last girlfriend through the sierra club). Go to a salsa/tango class. Be a social butterfly and tap into new networks (you do this by talking to everyone), being the new guy on the scene when you have your shit together always open doors. Break your daily routine. Go to a different coffee shop, grocery store, library. Befriend gay guys, if you spin it right and politely rebuff their advances, they're an awesome resource. Tap into your existing social network and ask them to help you find an girlfriend material chick (sounds beta but worked for me) as some friends might see you as the player that's finally trying to settle down and make it their quest to have a part in that. Travel, even locally. I always seem to meet random people I would otherwise ignore when I'm in a new environment.

I spent about an hour sending messages on POF the other night. I hear what you're saying about OKC, but I think it's possible that POF might be a poor man's Tinder in that there are a few girls of that mindset there as well. OKC is just way too sophisticated an app and too much like Facebook - too easy to use as an attention whoring platform.

For my trouble I managed to make a date with a tall early 30s blonde a few towns over from me. Got a couple of numbers on this pile of shit in the last few hours after messaging about 40 girls. I usually never bother mentioning the shit I go through - but one girl sounded alright then said when it came to phone number/meeting up that she's going to be busy for the next two weeks.
