Guys, Use This Savage Moment in Our History to Further Yourself
The horrendous treatment faced by Roosh, based on media lies, slander, the worst kind of violent threats from thousands of people, the media's enabling and ignoring of those threats, and almost every other 1984/Kafka's The Trial trope you can think of, shows us what we are up against.

Enjoy your life. Relax. Have fun.

But know this. You must invest in yourself, your life, your abilities, become the best person you can be.

By all means donate to ROK's Tip Jar, buy Roosh's books like there's no tomorrow and support in other concrete ways.

But we need the best you possible.

Get to the damn gym. Get through damn school, whether as a lawyer, accountant or paramedic. Get your damn plumbing or carpentry certification. Learn that damn language or take that damn code-writing course.

I know pretty much all of you have committed yourselves to self-improvement. You would not be here otherwise.

Yet this all-out war on us and our ideals should make it patently clear to you all that we need to take ourselves individually to another level. We are a group, a fraternity, a brotherhood, more than the sum of its parts, but we still require individual parts.

So upgrade, uplift, inspire and demand more of yourself. Great challenges lay ahead.

When they come looking for us tomorrow, they're gonna be looking for fat fucks with neckbeards in My Little Pony t-shirts. You know, all the media stereotypes.

Make sure you're not that.

Lift. Groom. Dress well. Juice. Meditate. Do facial yoga.

I agree with all the above, except for one: This whole lifting business is nothing but a vestige of a deeply feminized society. And mind you - that's coming from a guy who's hitting the gym at least five times a week - I LOVE working out. However in the past few years I have completely shifted my focus from lifting weights to core exercises and functional training routines. I also have been engaging in aggressive combat training which is distinctly different from martial arts being taught in the West. We are talking weapons training (e.g. knife, stick, pencil, chair, paper clip, etc...), hand 2 hand combat against multiple opponents, ground fighting, etc. We are NOT talking about silly kicks, 1-on-1 boxing techniques, or what have you - fighting without rules. Shit that helps you in the street, not in the dojo.

If attacked in the street by a group of assholes, may that be a mob of white knight SJWs or a group of migrants - sure, good chance I'll be injured or maybe even killed. But I am more than capable of inflicting extensive life changing damage if attacked and have no compunction about doing so. I have never started a fight but I have always finished it.

I keep seeing numerous occurrences where our brothers or their families are being physically threatened just because they happen to hold a different political or religious opinion. It's due time that these kinds of threads are met with appropriate action. We as men should not accept a state of affairs which relegates us to the ashbins of society and neither should we be forced to walk in its shadows.

True that, but you forgot one essential thing, believing in a higher-power.
If you believe in that, you know that you are on this hearth on a mission.
And when times will get really difficult, this will make the difference between the guys who will give up under the pressure and guys who will keep going and keep fighting for the greater good.

I don't consider myself as a paragon of masculine virtue but:

Lift - yes (4-5 times per week)
Groom - yes
Dress well - yes (I am the best dressed man in my office)
Juice - sometimes (it is expensive and it takes ages to clean the juicer)
Meditate - sometimes but in the Biblical way:

Joshua 1:8 Wrote:This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate in it day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Facial yoga: er, what's that?

I haven't arrived but I've left.

While we're on the subject, tell us more about this-who's a good source for training like this? Ex-Army, police, bouncers? I guess it's informally organised?

This is a great topic and thread. Thanks for the reminder and rear kick in the behind Garrett84.

As far as: Juice - sometimes (it is expensive and it takes ages to clean the juicer)

I stopped juicing bc of the reasons you mention. Now I replace juicing with smoothies made in a blender -mostly Kale, broccoli, spinach, bananas and apple to sweeten it up. Also add frozen blueberries. It is a lot easier to make than juicing and you have the fibre. Do this every morning. And in the evening -- always have a large mostly green type of salad.

When Arnold first began to promote bodybuilding they compared it to beauty pageantry, and I agree. The body looks different when it has been trained lifting weight and doing more core functional workouts.

Look at Sambo, Systema, Krav Maga - it helps if your instructor used to work as a bouncer. As a matter of fact - if you're out there partying try make friends with the bouncers and ask them where they train. Not only will they completely open up and probably let you in for free - those guys face assholes every single day and have learned the hard way what works in the streets. BJJ is great but it mostly works against single attackers and that is very rare in the streets. There are things which are taught to special forces and military which is not very accessible. But if you look around you will most likely find someone.

If you go to a place and they have you do katas - leave. If you see a 'black belt program' - leave. If the instructor does not participate - leave. If they are trying to lock you into an annual contract - leave. If training does not include real sparring - leave. If punches and kicks are simulated - leave.

You'll be surprised how much punishment your body can take. Expose yourself to punches and physical strain on a regular basis. Start rolling on hard wood floors - your body is going to teach you what to do. You'll go through a year of pain and bruising before you 'see the light'. These days I train with a group of people I know privately - we practice outside a lot just like it's done in Eastern Europe.

Keep this up until you look into the mirror and see a person you wouldn't want to mess with. There are a million ways to train and you should model your training after warriors and not 'martial artists'. That includes the ability to severely maim and potentially kill a person. Odds are you will never use those skills but that one day in a Million you may just walk away alive. If nothing else a few months of basic training will set you apart from 99% of the men you see in the streets. Not saying you'll be a street fighter but you'll have a good chance to at minimum survive and escape.

Once you start doing this shit for a few months you quickly find yourself grinning at all those guys pumping themselves up at the gym in front of mirrors. Don't get me wrong - it's great to have mass and strength (and I personally work out as well) but faced with multiple armed assailants your body building skills and mass alone are completely useless. On the contrary - a skinny fast guy may have better chances of getting away ;-)

One final pointer - and take this or laugh about it if you will. ALWAYS carry a pen on you - felt or ball pens are ideal as a stabbing weapon and even if found on you cannot be used against you in court (unless blood stained I guess). Forget about the bullshit improvised weapons they show in YT videos - they are a joke. Pens are easily accessible and can inflict horrible injuries, especially when targeted near the face or throat area. WARNING: They should only be used as a weapon of last resort - meaning if your life is literally in danger, e.g. you are facing a gang with chains, knifes, machetes, you name it. You do have the right to defend yourself against bodily harm and it's better to find yourself in court than in a grave.

Think for a moment if only ten people at the Bataclan would have been trained properly. Sure there would still have been a large death toll as they used explosives and kalashs. But they would not have had such an easy time killing dozens of people. It's all mental conditioning - men in Northern Europe in particular have literally been bred to be soft, emasculated, and to avoid conflict at all cost. Masculinity and strength has been likened with sociopathic qualities and thus has been widely rejected. I have seen strapping 100 kilo guys get their asses kicked by a small group of Muslim gangs (3 or 4 small, skinny guys). They literally had never been in a fight before and they were completely unprepared - it was a sad spectacle to observe.

We are now harnessing the fruit of our hubris and complacency. The response is clear in my mind and although my views are currently relegated to the fringe they will become mainstream by the end of this decade. Unfortunately that transformation will come at the cost of hundreds of thousands of innocent victims. Don't be a victim - prepare yourself.

One cannot underestimate the power of juicing / blending. Combined with a regular lifting schedule and regular sleep - you can literally conquer the world. Being well fed, slept and exercised allows all other things to flow from the well of abundance.

The opposite is of course true as well - no sleep, no exercise and eating garbage drains all the vital nourishment that in turn creates the scarcity mentality.

Thanks for the reminder David.

RE: Guys, Use This Savage Moment in Our History to Further Yourself
I appreciate you writing this. I've been dwelling on it myself.

What we saw here is a real life conspiracy. A cabal of media outlets got together and called Roosh a "pro rape legalization advocate", and by proxy us. It wasn't just like Gawker and Jezebel. It was every single outlet that covered the story - they falsely tried to make it seem like Roosh, and by proxy us, are all "pro rape", holding meetups around the country to make women unsafe. Nothing could be further from the truth.

What this tells me is that Roosh, and us, are scaring some people. They'll do anything to silence us and discredit us. They're also trying to use us to fit their narrative. "You think there aren't pro rape mysogonists running around everywhere? Just look at Return of Kings!"

I am more emboldened than ever to get the truth out. MikeCF did a good post about it today -

Lifting vis a vis functional strength.

Every man needs to be able to fight and learn what it feels like to get punched in the face.

Everyone should take some lessons in fighting, just 50-100 hours worth of training is enough to be far ahead the average guy. MMA, Boxing and in particular Thai Boxing. There are gyms and dojos for every type of person, blue collar, white collar, hipster, the important thing is you get in the gym, learn to throw a straight right, uppercut, hook and learn to knee and elbow in the clinch.

You can get to a level of decent proficiency in 3-6 months if you go twice a week. It is fully worth it, have not regretted it for a second.

RE: Guys, Use This Savage Moment in Our History to Further Yourself
This is a very timely post for me. Admittedly, I've been feeling rather down lately due to various negative situations in my life. This has led to me growing stagnant and losing steam in regard to my goals.

Oddly enough, this whole saga has reinvigorated me and only strengthened my resolve to be a better version of myself. It has also shown me where I have chinks in my armor, most notably in regard to the people that I've surrounded myself with. I feel more inspired and supported by many of you guys, who I've never met (yet), than by people in my own life who don't seem to share any of my ideals.

This ordeal has shown us how, as men, it is our duty to be better than those who would cast us aside. Even though my local meetup ended up being compromised, I surely felt my spine stiffen with pride as I went there with the knowledge that I was fighting the good fight.

Also, good advice overall, and particularly in regard to the martial arts training. I was involved in martial arts growing up, and fought regularly in tournaments. However, it's been quite awhile since I've had that combat experience. I already do the other things mentioned, but I need to bring real world combat training back into my life.

That is a great article, and the fact that Mike stresses meeting up is important I think.

Roosh has been all over the world, made his own efforts to bypass traditional publishing houses and get a controversial, anti-feminist message out in print. He's also built an online empire, amassed enough wealth to hire body guards and protect his family when shit gets real, and has personally ravaged multiple countries.

But what did the MSM dye a tampon over? Him organizing huge meet ups for us.

The "rape rally" lie originated from leftist extremists, following the lead of the extremist feminists in Canada last summer, who deliberately misinterpreted Roosh's article in order to censor him.

So if it's clearly deliberate, the only conclusion to make is that they aren't actually incensed Roosh is "literally pro-rape," it's that—as MikeCF points out—the meets show there are other people who think like us, and we know it.

Put me and two people in this thread in a room together and mobs come out of the woodwork, mobilized by a fringe group that uses lies to keep us from threatening their perceptions of reality. We shouldn't exist, and if we do, we should be ugly, bitter neckbeards in a basement. Not fit, well-groomed players with money, power, resources, time, patience, persistence, and organization.

About the martial arts:

Quote:Look at Sambo, Systema, Krav Maga - it helps if your instructor used to work as a bouncer. As a matter of fact - if you're out there partying try make friends with the bouncers and ask them where they train. Not only will they completely open up and probably let you in for free

That's pretty unlikely.

Exposing yourself to punches on a "regular basis" is not smart.

Quote:One final pointer - and take this or laugh about it if you will. Coincidentally, I've been stabbed with a ball pen in high school, in my shoulder, by a 16 year old as hard as he could, and it remarkably didn't penetrate past the most superficial flesh. Pens vs. chains and knives just seem like bad advice. If you're that worried, buy a gun.

That's right. Take a gang of 3-4 grown men, no matter how skinny, and they will destroy 95% of the population. Krav Maga, Systema, Kung Fu, Boxing, BJJ, Muay Thai, Sambo, Judo, Tekken-style street fighting, all styles bow down to multiple attackers. No matter what kind of optimism people have about those styles. One-on-four victories are possible, but to count on your style or preparedness to pull you through that kind of thing consistently is more dangerous than redeeming.

Unless you're Little Dark of course.

Not meaning to derail this thread anymore. If you're looking to talk about fighting styles, there's this thread.
