From what I read here and in general about Belarus I would not go there.
There are enough untouched places in Russia, mostly further east like Siberia and in the Ukraine, and those are easier places to travel in terms of visa, housing, language etc.

Russia is the only place where I think you need to actually qualify advice based on race. Strong statement, I know. But, if you are not white, I think you would be better served in Ukraine or other FSU countries (the differences in quality are negligible). If you are white...enjoy!

Yep in Ukraine although they are quite racist, they are also generally passive and you are unlikely to get attacked.

Everyone keeps making a big deal out of the VISA issue, it seems pretty straight forward, you make reservations at a hotel, they send you an invite, you forward the invite with your passport to consulate/embassy and 40 bucks. Now, if you wanted to live there that could be a problem as the visas are only good for 30 days. Alternatively if you found some girl you really liked online, buy them a train ticket to whatever nearby country you are in

I was in Belarus last summer.Very tricky place.Army and police everywhere there was army even in disco.Surreal situations.In general day game is not possible in eastern Belarus while night game is highly rewarding.The exact opposite is the case in western Belarus where day game brings results.Girls much less open than in Ukraine and afraid of foreigners.Generally Ukraine is a better place but only of you hit the right cities.
Russian in Belarus is a must only a 10% of girls speak passable English.I do not advise Belarus to anyone who does not have experience of Ukraine, Russia, Poland.Hit Belarus only when you have adequate experience of slavic women otherwise you will spend money better spent elsewhere.
