Charity or cultural activities if money was no obstacle
If you were as wealthy as Gates and Buffet and co combined, what charitable or political activities would you engage in?

Would you put it all into medical research, or helping the needy? Would you set up your own schools or use it to develop new technology?

We also all know about characters like Soros who use their wealth to actively damage the world around them, and on the other side characters like the Koch brothers. What would you do to change global culture?

Would you lobby for a neon hair tax? Liberate North Korea? Bring back deportment schools? Start a new church?

I only donate to shit I can see the results of directly, like Wikipedia and my favorite bloggers/artists. I don't trust any of the 'starving Africans' charities, I suspect a lot of them are just scams to help rich families hold on to their dynastic wealth while maintaining a saintly image.

If money is no obstacle, the next goal is power.

Once you're climbing the ladder of power, the next step is imposing promoting your views in your neighborhood, city, region, country, planet... select the appropriate scale according to your financial abilities and your social ambitions.

Always making sure your charities feed back into connections, galas, cocktail parties with the right people.

The right people generally being other powerful men (including those one step above and below your level), and pretty ladies.

And from there, favorable coverage in high society. Becoming known as a mover and shaker. Having others know what you need and come to you with it.

^ I agree with Andy B. Fully fund Wikipedia. Second, fund veteran's benefits so that its like a Valhalla on earth for returning vets, especially those wounded or shell shocked (that sounds so much better than ptsd) in combat.

Fund protestant churches to the point where its the second coming of the crusades, creates a soros like lobby for promotion of traditional families and stay at home moms, create a divorced men's legal defense fund/lobby group and just for laughs a foundation to support strippers with athletic injuries...like falling off the pole while upside down, not carpal tunnel from too many champagne room handjobs.

and how could I forget, fully fund the poznan institute

looking for a new signature.

I would make sure every nude statue is covered so as not to offend Iranians.

Simple, I'd hire out trainers to teach young boys combat arts as after school programs. A better version of big brother I imagine.

I'd put the vast majority of it into anti-aging research. I'm a selfish motherfucker. Angel

Supposedly the Wikimedia Foundation is fully funded and has a self sufficient endowment that would replenish their operating expenses.

They've been increasing their "administrative" staff and embarking on research projects. Whatever that means.

As for the original question, i'd open a church and go from there.

Wiki turned leftist a while ago. Now, they're fully in bed with the feminazis - they censor articles with as much bias as Twitter or Youtube, regardless of credible sources.

I'd go with a private education system that actually educates, rather than indoctrinates.
