Using english has been better for me than french for what its worth but you have to be with french people/french speakers and have fun/be really playful with them and use as much french as you can, even if minimal, to try to make them laugh and impress them. Being with a group of obvious americans will not get you far, you need style and proper clothing. Basically, french girls will not be impressed by the backpackers type of americans or australians..in Paris anyway. These girls like to think they are the cream of the crop even if they are not really.

Quebecers game is fun for me but I don't play this card too much because its good for getting laughs/smiles and everything but it gets boring after a while, maybe because I don't feel like a foreigner anymore here and look a more like a local dude.. I'm good at getting girls to laugh but my game level in french is really not at tight as in english because for me it feels boring to game in french.

Dancing game is generally a must, especially if you can dance rock..this is what killed me the most in Lille, I can be a good dancer, but french girls love to dance rock and generally have high energy to dance rock songs that I don't have at the end of the night. Its one of the reasons my Mexicans friends did really good in Lille because they are naturally good dancers and projected energy even if they didn't have the best of looks, they tried the minimal french they knew.


Basically, make french girls laugh, don't be too serious, and anyone should do fine as long as they are open-minded..its the type of girls foreigners should try to approach. If a girl is close-minded, has non-existent english skills and doesn't want to deal with foreigners she will be at certain venues and have a certain look to her. I don't know how to describe that but I can easily see when a french girl is open and when she is not.

Overall, logistics and high prices will be against you first, then social circles cockblockers, ghetto and arabic/africans invading venues and I think the language comes last. Usually has to do with girls going out with social circles friends though...

Lastly, french girls don't understand sarcasm. Its my go-to type of humor which gave me success with British girls but these french girls don't understand it really...so try any type of game but negging should be really minimal..comical neg at least. Whereas you can easily say shut up to an english girl and sound pleasant and funny in french saying ta gueule or ferme la is considered rude. In Quebec its ok to say it but not in France.

French guys its another story, a lot of them have good game and good looks but even french girls get tired of them for their self-entitled attitude. A good french guy in a club with good looks, playful vibe, good dancing skills, proper clothing and over 183 cm will be impossible to beat unless he takes himself too seriously and doesn't project a fun playful vibe. The french guys use what I call french game to impress foreign girls. I used that type game too sometimes on dates and in clubs.

I'm really sorry I didn't imply that and I totally agree with you.

I do have really good moroccans friends and from Senegal and Burkina Faso and they are in fact highly educated and cool dudes..extremely chill..both in Montreal and in Paris..but one have to choose the right venues to not go to a venue full of the ghetto type to not have a long night...I mean the ratio will be very bad and the few girls will be aggressively sought after. There's a reason french people told me rue de la Lappe is "mal fréquenté".



All in all one of my best Montreal friend is moroccan and I love going out with him he's outgoing and fun...and my trip to Morocco with him was extremely interesting and fun..my Burkina friend is a real gem..a real classy friend that will never hurt anyone..I can't praise him enough. He has everything for him.

If you go salsa dancing, its those "Africans invaders" who sweep all the creme de la creme white girls lol. For all the racism in France Paris is actually where I see the best multi-cultural game. I have NEVER seen an Asian with a really hot white chick for 4 years in USA, but in France Ive ran into a few in just 2 years (myself counted ).

Funny, I have quite the opposite experience as Roundtree. Nicest guys I know are Africans and Arabs, its the cocky white French dudes that can act really bitchy as stated in my OP. Say what you want about ghettos guys being aggressive, they reap the most pussies in the banlieues. These are generalizations of course.

Gotta agree with French girls and sarcasm though... they just dont get it. Cant figure out why, they love taking it easy/joking but they cant take sarcasm. Having to say "je t'emmerde/je rigole" after you deliver a killer neg with a big laugh just kinda defeat the whole point...

Lino, I guess it had to be clarified (English is not my first language so perhaps it didn't come out exactly as I wanted to say it). A lot of Parisians are of Maghreban or African descent, they are just as French as some Savoyard born in the alps, good guys contributing to society, part of the French culture. These guys work like you and me and are pretty cool. I also interact with them in Montreal and have good friends.

However, there's also a class that is severely neglected not only by French people but also by the other Maghrebans. On rue de la Lappe for exemple its notably known for being ''mal fréquenté'' and with a lot of lower-class or ghetto guys called ''racaille'', it goes without saying that for game purposes its shooting yourself in the foot to go there because these guys hit on every girl with bad game and scaring the girls (not everywhere on rue de la Lappe of course but there was one club there I remember that had 90% guys, African or north African racaille and it was futile to game there.).

It's the kind of information that has to be shared, if I only stayed this strip my whole time in Paris I would have been pretty sad..

Honestly it seems like these guys spitting bad game (i.e., street harassment as opposed to actual street game) have become widespread and common enough that most girls have their defenses up high in the streets and in the metro. I get almost zero IOIs or eye contact in the streets, but then as soon as I go to a more private space like a mall, on campus, a nicer bar, it's like the girls suddenly come to life. I'm wondering if there are still areas of the city that are better for (daytime) street game, or if this kind of shit has put up the shields everywhere.

InsertNameHere, regarding daygame in Paris, France is a latin country, if you dress the proper way and have a good vibe you can do very well, of course you need to put in some efforts as parisian women are known to be a bit bitchy.

Personnally, what bothers me isn't even these thugs as I think they make things even easier because it's so easy to stand out as their game is so weak... It's more that it isnt a pleasure anymore to me, maybe I m getting old and getting lazy, most of my last lays came from online game...

Actually we should legitimately keep this thread alive..after all gaming in France is so different than in the USA that I'm pretty sure it requires its own pinned thread. And whether or not anglos accept it, the francosphere is huge and a world of its own.

As I said in numerous threads, even amongst Francophones (France vs Quebec) there are huge differences whereas Quebec girls are more Americanized.

Just wanted to contribute my observations after spending a few days in Paris between Christmas and New Year's:

Walking around, I definitely saw more non-white guy / white girl couples & families in Paris than I did in the Anglosphere. My gut is it's a higher % than even big Anglosphere cities like London, NYC, LA, etc.

Paris is not representing France at all. It's a global city like NYC, London, etc. You cannot make assumption of the country when only comparing to Paris.
West part of France, South-West, East ... nothing close to Paris.

It's like taking New-York and talking about the whole US; doesn't make any sense.

If you want to meet true French people, go to second-tiers cities, to the country side, sea-side. Many people who came to France, only visited Paris for a couple of days. It's always made me laugh because I know what they experienced did not reflect "France".

i want to add that all regions in France are pretty different and feel like a different country. For exemple Lille had a lot of tall girls and blondes who looked more germanic while in Grenoble and Lyon girls looked like the girls you would find in northern Italy. You will find much more feminine and nice girls in cities even smaller than Lyon than in Paris.

I love France. Always enjoyed it. I speak French pretty well. Would like to return, but the terrorism situation makes me hesitate. I am older, too, but who knows?

Was in Paris 2011, and as a side-motivation for going there, chasing some young model I met on Facebook. She was somewhat neurotic and histrionic, drug issues, but very good looking. I think purely in terms of maximising your potential options, it is important to speak at least conversational French especially if you are on an extended stay. I suspect there are some in the Anglosphere who suspect going to France will just be like going to Germany, Netherlands or Scandanavia where almost everyone speaks above conversational English. This is absolutely not the case in France, although most in the big cities will be conversational, elsewhere it is very common to meet people who either can't string a sentence together or are less than conversational.

Combining this with the fact that French game can often involve having to break in to chick's social circles, and that they won't speak in English to others to accommodate you in to the conversation, means that it is gold to have a good level of French.

Anyone got input on Lille as a city to live and game in? How is it compared to Paris pros and cons (as specific as possible)?
I might have a job opportunity to go there. Getting tired of all the noises of Paris.

Have only ever met one girl from Lille. A 7 with extremely outgoing character. She lavishes compliments to every guy she meets. Not my type but better than the bitchy attitude in Paris.
